Death Warrant had a pretty impressive turn out on their server last evening but the number of servers out there is certainly dwindling...

All my server favorites except ellesian are very active.

 

Servers may be getting smaller in number, but the number of players appears to be the same. Flitter may discount this since he has access to hard data.

I am now on summer break, I will be playing alot. Saw Bush on UMG last night but no room to join. Cannon what happened to you on Deathwarrent? You were there, then gone, there, then gone.

How can I kill you if you leave? Do you know how many people I killed honestly looking for you? There were so many DW players on last night I was having flashbacks of Nepenthe with the old crew.

 

I thought you asked about jumping to our server and I thought you'd left so I went over there for a while. Then I saw Bush doing the Torlan Marathon but joined right after he left. Then I came back to DW but got interupted by a phone call I had to take. Bush was cleaning up there for sure. It's nice to see he can have fun with some different maps or maybe he's just getting desperate.

There is still enough activity out there to make it worth playing at least to me. I kept thinking a few night ago when DW had a serious crowd of DW people playing that it would have been nice to have the serious GC players in to give them a spanking!!

How to kill with avril on omnipotents....

 

I think Omnipotents avril is modded to only lock for about 5 seconds. Aim near targets path, fire, wait till gets close, then lock on the B@stard for a kill.

 

Only saw you for a bit on DeathWarrantVikings. My team got crucified on that map. I did enjoy shooting you. You manta almost killed me before I got rescued by fellow players. Two on one works for me when I am one of the two.

Hmmm.... It never occurred to me that the poor Avril lock might be a mod. I suppose it makes sense as it's been so consistent. As it's one of the last busy servers I suspose I should give it another chance. Thanks Pat!

A lot of gc members that play ut2004 are in school related fields. Teachers or students. Kind of busy this time of year for us. I have been on and not seen many if any other than Cannonfodder. I am typically on Omnipotents, carcass, deathwarrant vikings, utpub, etc.

We may start up again as a group but then again maybe not. Kill server-save money? Open for business or closed. We have been down this road before. I have been checking post and yours is the first new one in a while for ut2004. You might be right. I have pretty much gone elsewhere for my ut2004 fix.

I'm seeing you around more and later as I suspect school is out for the summer??? Dingy and Dark were actually on our server for a while yesterday afternoon. Bush is in and out though he seems to only like standard maps. I'm pretty much playing anywhere I can find a game. Even though it shows a decent ping for me Omnipotents has always been pretty much unplayable where it's impossible to hold an Avril lock. The slow death continues....

I played a round of "Dissonex Refineries Inc." over the weekend. It's probably a bit big for these days of low numbers of players but it was interesting.

I haven't been able to connect to the master server for at least a day. Anyone know what's up?

Cannon: it's ok. My team lost because of it, but I was like 32 and 4 anyway so it didnt matter. I got lots of kills that's all that matters.

Ya see I always play to win the game in progress versus worrying about my stats... unlike some people.... How's that for my excuse???

I was playing TF2 with the pub heroes guys but I burned out on that game rather quickly. Class-based games just don't do much for me. It lacked the thrill of a good old ONS match.

Yeah, where were you guys last night!? Cannon, we jumped over to our server from CF and you didn't follow us! I know that broke my heart.

I jumped over from A.S.S. Carcass Factory and found our server empty??? I guess I didn't wait long enough, sorry. I though maybe you went to play TAM. I KNOW you need a target that doesn't dodge well!

Wasn't really sure where to post this, but here's good enough I guess.

 

When it's 2v1 or 3v1 or 4v1 or any multiple like that, it's common courtesy to NOT cripple the single players vehicles at his/her base, since you control all of the nodes anyway (or close to all of them). I mean, it's pretty annoying to be honest, and it gets done alot it seems. I'm not talking about using that as a strat, I'm talking about doing it when your team is obviously better and you're just being a dinkus. Ok, thanks! <3

I know play isn't what it used to be but many current players seem reluctant to hit the enemy core when it's ready and finish up the game. Prolonging the agony seems to be more common.

Some guy was trying to recruit on our server tonight. It was pretty funny. I told him we already had a team (GC) which I played on, so I couldn't join his team.

"Oh, well like, let's say we're on blue team, then if you join we'll play a red team and stuff like that." I didn't really know what he was talking about at first, so I told him to just play. He said sorry, he didn't know it was our server and he'd stop recruiting. I think his clan was {dark} or something like that, but he was talking about different teams they'd have. Just thought it was funny.

 

Just don't challenge 6l0, tweakish scares me.

Cannon, I'm going to try to find my old aim in the next few days. I lost it somewhere when I stopped playing before Christmas. Maybe some TAM will help. But just remember, twl takes the deemers away, so no more dm'ing with a deemer!

I'm in win or loose. It's just fun to play especially with people that have a clue. It would be nice to be able to jump on top of a Manta and not spend the next 3 minutes cursing as either a bot or clueless noob is driving.

Some decent GC activity last evening for sure. Monkey, Harry Botter, Mad Pat, Flitter, Bush, Tek were in and out while I was playing. I should be around tonight.

Yes. it was nice seeing all of those GC tags and some good visitors too! It was also nice mixing in a few of the newer maps.

That was a lot of fun tonight.

 

A fine game of vehicle deathmatch Mr. "X-Razor." Did you ever even start or charge a node or did you spend 100% of the time Manta whoring??? Hardly anyone (either team) even bothered to try and start the primary in Artic once it was lost as the Mantas were lined up waiting to make a run and hardly anyone was defending.

 

It was nice seeing the server fill up past the bot level.

 

I took down lots of nodes in arctic, and I actually didnt get the manta often. I got it lots in the first round (when we had all the nodes) and the rest of the map I spent either defending the prime with avrils or with twin beams when it got built. Someone has to defend... If you dont believe me ask bush how many times his manta got hit with an avril

 

I hope you were still having fun... I was. I DID manta whore when we had all but the prime in the first round though, and DID hit the core whenever it was vulnerable.

I shouldn't be whining especially at you, sorry. It just got discouraging for that last Artic round I played when the other team seemed to be much more interested in just keeping our primary down versus trying to build it and get on to the next game. I'd work my way to our open primary and have 3 Mantas competing to squash me first over and over and over. That's the nature of that map I guess. Some good players on last night for sure.
