I am confused why you would bother posting if you are not going to follow up. Based on that and your post not sure where you are going with this. Our rules are not for debate. I believe everyone knows wth means. I warned the person that typed it and you seemed to want to debate it. There were many warnings earlier to others. If you wanted to post up an apologize then fine. But that does not seem to be the case. So I am not sure where you are going with the admin abuse as again I get tired of warning and warning and warning. Therefore action and the person always has the opportunity to come to the forums and explain themselves.

I am starting to think that my lag may be due to my FPS, it seems to be all over the place as well as my ping....

anyone have any decent script commands to drop some none essential things to improve FPS?

I do need to get a new rig, but work right now is crazy I have been home for about 3 days this past 30 days so I really don't have time to be looking at getting a new rig,, I figure when things slow down I may but that probably won't be for a few months so any help would be appreciated.

Yes I know dell owns alienware but wouldn't the quad memory and the double band width processor justify the extra $200 let alone the better hard-drive with built in portion SSD?

I upgraded my existing rig with SSD and it is great but cost per GB is pretty high and some of these new hybrid drives with the combo portion SSD and standard generate some decent rates with decent sizes.

Sorry as stated I have been out of the loop for so long I am just trying to figure out best bang for the buck.

I have done the build a rig, plus buy a rig and update it, plus by the XPS when that was the best rig from Dell, (sorry but I am 50 years old and my first rig was an 8086 with an 8087 math co-processor and a turbo boost and that cost me almost $3000 in 1986) If I don't go with a name brand I would lean to building a rig, buying something and upgrading you always end up tossing at least the power supply and the video card, so I find that way to be a bit more expensive.

So to build a rig newegg for some parts and what for else?

Have not been paying much attention to latest developments so went on Dell and did a config P.Cs

2nd option Dell 8700, i7-4770 8MB cache clocked 3.9, Win 8, 16GB of Dual channel DDR3 at 1600Mhz, 1.5GB GDDR3 GTX 660, 2TB 7200rpm SATA Hard drive $1,103.99 shipping included

(now with the i7-3820 having 2 times the bandwidth of the other processor and also the Quad channel DDR3, I am assuming the extra $200 is worth getting the Alienware Rig?)

This game is still trash imo. Figured I'd try it again after months of not even bothering touching it. Played offline against bots. I missed a bot's head several times with a deagle while both of us were standing still. Crosshair right on the bot's head. Bupkis.

I previously used Norton 360, and it drove me nuts; I use MSE now and it does not seem to be a resource hog.

Ok, I finally caved in and will start playing GO in prep for Fragfest. My question for those of you who have been playing it for a while now is what do you recommmend to change on the settings as far as rates, cmd, updaterate, interps etc? Can you turn dead bodies off like in Source? How do you get your sight to become just a single dot? I have tried some of these commands from source and they must have changed or no longer be an option in GO. As far as my computer/internet, it should be able to run high end performance when it comes to fps and I normally don't have too much internet lag issues.

Thanks for the posts guys. I will see if I catch her on a good day, but I doubt she will come as she does not game at all. So it would be more like honey please go do whatever you want to do while I go to Ohio. Not sure how that will fly, but if I work up the courage I will try.

I have been working too much..... just seen the date.... have fun. My wife's birthday is the 20th so I think it is wise that I don't even ask.
