Hey all,

I think its safe to say that the Admin vs Member match was a success.

As far as future events go, would anybody like to see a draft type tourney of some kind?

I was thinking some of the more veteran members/admins (people who know enough people to make good decisions) could be team captains, and then they could draft out of a pool of signups for teams of some random size.

I'd like to see small enough teams (5-8 people?) or enough signups to get at least 4 teams, and of course, the more the better.

If theres enough interest, I think this would be a lot of fun and since I'm suggesting it, I'll help out with the organizing.

Well, it was a beating. Absolute drubbing....

We members just didn't seem to gel as a team and thus, we got spanked.

If we were to do another one of these type of events, I'd like to see several teams of a smaller number. Maybe figure out the teams a few days in advance to give people a chance to play together to get ready or something.

All in all, I enjoyed the event even though getting owned was quite frustrating.

Good stuff Admins. You earned it.

My cable went out last nite, so hopefully it'll be back up in time for the match, otherwise I won't be able to play

Yah, auto-join has issues, and provided everybody cooperates, the manual team selection works fine.

Least we got some discussion on it and the majority seems to favor manual teams.

Yah, I know some people enjoy always choosing the "hard" side. But when they coerce teammates/regulars into joining them to offset the difficulty of the map, then it becomes just as unbalanced as it was before.

Also, I know I prefer to play with those I consider friends and would definately want to play with clan mates, but I think random teams would help make them a lot more balanced as well as (hopefully) foster more teamplay amongst the newer people to the server since some reg's would be on each team to lead.

Although I'm still not positive which day and on what server this is occurring. I think its the 7th, and I think its on Extempore server(ip?).

Not sure if this should go in an individual server forum or what not.

Anyway, what would you all think about having "Auto-Assign" as the only choice for team selection?

We have PTBx running to supposedly sort out any issues with balance and if not, theres usually an admin or some regulars to figure it out themselves anyway.
