Alright before I post anything I know people are touchy on this subject. I am myself. So if you read anything you don't like, don't take it to heart, it's just how I talk.

 

You guys put selfish in, which is a very nice word really, but I find this pathetic. The kid is old enough to realize the mistakes of gambling. He knew he would have to pay the money back if gambling didn't work. So when he gets himself into a whole lot of trouble he doesn't want to be a "man" about it and pay back what he owes. He takes the easy way out. He was 21, he definitely should've known better.

 

Don't get me wrong I think it's sad the kid did what he did. He could've been the nicest guy in the world, who knows. Sadly, I think it's better he did what he did now instead of down the road when he would have a family that does rely on him (wife and kids).

Niether your nor I know the full extent of his issues. We do not know if he was clinicly depressed, manic, bi-polar, what have you. With out full knowledge of the situation we can not assume that we know why he commited suicide, or what he should have done instead. So to say that he was pathetic is rather rash and unthinking. I will go as far as saying that he was selfish... but no farther.

the real sad part is i bet most of his "friends" knew what was going on and never said anything.it's sad he is gone,it's bulls*** the way he chose to take care of his problems.i feel for his parents not him.i am not sorry if this offends anyone for my feelings.i have lost about 20 friends to suicide and i don't believe it is the way to go.

20?! good lord! Suicide is quite possible the most selfish act one can take. It solves all your problems quite nicely, but the trauma done to family and friends is incalculable.

Its so sad to watch you guys try and pump up table G. Everyone knows that table B is the 'B'est. I mean look at the letter G. No backbone, just the gentle curve of an old womans hump. Now B, B has a strong, secure backbone. What happens when G is pushed over? Rolls around like a little lost kid. B? Not only would B hold its ground, but it shows its versitility by having two strong, supportive arches with which to build on. What's G doing? Still rolled up in a fetal position... very sad.

P.S. my wife would not be caught dead at FF. She hates games and fun. She is the enemy of fun. I love her, but wow...

Are we going to have any theme for FF? Or are we going to have theme tables?

Table 'B' could be the 'Family'. Walk around wearing fedoras, carry violin cases and bully the other tables for protection money...

I'm coming from San Diego but no way i'm going to drive man. It's not worth it at all for long flights. Gas is too high. Even with best guess on the low side it not worth the time loss factor. It's 2400 miles from here, devide that by 30 mpg you have 80 galllons at $2.50 for $200.00 one way. Then you have to factor in a few hotel nights. Plane tickets are $390.00 round trip and you save 4 days of sitting in a box.

My thoughts exactly, just offering in case people needed it

I use to play the Quake Mod Urban Terror all the time, sitting in Hotties or FSK405 server, wall jumping all over the place heh ... lots'o fun.

Sooo, anyone else traveling from Southern California? I'm looking at transportation options right now. If I drive, I will probably need 2 -3 days for travel one way. Thats 6 days of travel for 2 - 3 days of fun. Trade off seems alittle lopsided.

If there is someone else, or a group of folks, up to 6, that can not afford a plane ticket, I would be more than happy to drive us all to FF07. If not, I'll be flying up there.

Let me know by April if you need a ride, because I'll be buying the plane ticket around then.

Yeah, its amazing how fast the server can fill up again given the right map. I think that with some finegaling of the cycle we can have the new or interesting maps that are not as popular, while still maintaining the overall server population over the course of two or three maps.

It seems thats the case. Server gos from 20 or so, to 10 or less. I always think, "Ah no, not this map!" when NF shows up. I kinda like the map, but it just cuts the server pop down conciderably.

Zombies irritate me. When I kill someone its just common curtesy them to stay dead. Its just plain rude to get up and start eating brains and forcing me to kill it again. Zombies have no manners. Plus I hear they eat their main course with the salad fork... barbarians!

It's not just DirecTV that broadcasts 1080i. My cable provider (Cox Communications) sends in only 1080i, and states in no uncertain terms that 720p television sets will not work with their service on their website. I'm sure that other companies are doing this as well. I guess you have to check with your cable company to ensure compatibility.

The stats on nearly every 720p LCD set I have looked at support 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i. You do not need a 1080p set to view 1080i.
