  1. Mine was buzzing around doing nothing. Then again I get confused and may have been attacking my own team vehicles. You guys have seen this happen before with me . Found an interesting characteristic, the necris viper jumps and kind of floats. It cannot dive down like a manta. If we had older shockers and I did that tactic, Dark and Bushwack would have shocked me higher into the stratosphere.
  2. I found the game ceiling is set at 63 fps. Unless you modify the ini files which could make it a little more unstable. I might do it since I have a good card.
  3. Self Destruct with necris viper Jump up and hit mouse button 2. Don't know the damage amount but love hitting nodes and levi with them. I don't know how much damage is done by it but hope alot since I am then on foot. Scavenger If memory serves me right Left mouse directs energy ball against enemy. Right mouse gets you in ball form. Right mouse button while in ball form gives spiral attack and you then deploy legs for movement. Left mouse button while in ball form just deploys the legs. I could be reversing this part on mouse buttons. You cannot attack unmanned vehicles with energy ball, just floats around. Closer to opponents or manned targets more effective energy ball is unless you run over the person with tentacles. Don't know if tentacles hurt vehicles. Moving in ball form hard. Left and right only direct you a few degrees while rolling. Must be more to it but need more time. Hope this helps
  4. MP? MaDPaT Tek, I believe Wentz provided you with this info, not me. Still sorry it did not work for you. This is still trial and error for all of us. My 8800 gts is getting around 62-63 frames at maximum resolution but does require newest drivers to use the necris vehicles Like you, I am also having hard time identifying enemy. Playing public and someone's skin had like minimum of color other than grey-black. At distance they were like camouflaged and I tend to be a sniper. I am looking into making enemy colors stand out more like it did in UT2004.
  5. Don't know how to check my fps but after getting my driver for my 8800gts updated, things look goooooood.......... I have upped to the maximum resolution but turned the bloodshed graphic to default. Still trying to learn new nostromo settings. Hard to control weapons and movement with one hand on it. Like old way, mouse with weapons and movement with nostromo. Hopefully pipe switching will come through.....
  6. Hellbender Rear turret damage increased. I am now complete. Just hope I have enough power to kill manta with three shots.
  7. I believe it was the video driver. The necris vehicles are more "organic" and detailed. As soon as battle heated up the game crashed. I updated driver and seem to have fixed the problem. Look forward to ramp up the resolution later today. Is there an online server gc members are playing at?
  8. I was able to get back into game. I lasted about 2 minutes. System run error while driving a dark walker. Some sort of memory error. I will reinstall tomorrow. I am really aggravated. I built this system for this game. Most likely a ut3 weening problem that others will be facing. After system error cycled between windows screen and black out ut3 screen. Had to use reboot button.
  9. Seems UT# no longer works on my system. Program stops responding even when after full system boot up. Problem with graphics I believe. I had system maxed but video jaggies started to turned it back. Everything fine after that. I changed teams on necris warfare maps to try necris vehicles and mild graphic errors occured. Started new game and changed teams to necris and major graphics problems as I tried to use rolling ball vehicle. Game froze after that and even on restart game would not start. Just get Not Responding from task menu. Dark, my system is almost exactly like yours except for operating system and not overclocked. Have you noticed any of this? I have played hours using only axon vehicle maps and no problems. Necris maps using necris vehicles and game a no go.
  10. I found the ini command file for inputs but unsure about computer syntax. Looks alot different from UT2004 ini syntax. Problem is that UT3 doesn't recognize my extra mouse buttons other than left and right ones. Those extra buttons are mapped to keyboard using Logitech setpoint but still not go. There isn't even a middle mouse button detailed in ut2 input ini file. Game consoles with mice must not have mouse options so I guess we won't either.
  11. Midway Morons Clearly Midway thinks we are too stupid to know that clan tags get added to our name.
  12. Playing and on startup of campaign, system error occurred with ut3! Oh lovely.
  13. I have come to the same conclusion. I now have to reprogram my nostromo for movement, keyboard commands, AND weapons instead of movement and keyboard commands with nostromo and weapons via mouse. What a pain. It will take forever to get use to. I have to find 6 additional weapon buttons on nostromo that are intuitive without messing with keyboard and movement keys. I can't afford to hesitate finding weapons, cause with you guys it means quick death for me.
  14. Thanks for info. I am keeping the keys in ut3 the same and have used the Logitech setpoint to recognize ut3. I think my logitech file was corrupted somehow during ut3 install. Tried to open and had taken like forever. I will uninstall and reinstall to see what happens.
  15. Been working on my nostromo and got on for a little gaming campaign. Funny thing is, my extra mouse buttons do not work even when programmed to use keyboard keys assigned in UT3. They worked fine in Demo version but cannot get it to work now. Nostromo works perfectly so far. Since nostromo works but extra mouse buttons do not, I am loss for a reason why. Any ideas? I won't even look at warefare until my input problems resolved.
  16. Just got game tonight. I will be busy. I have to understand all the controls, new vehicles, and find the ini file for my nostromo programming. I probably will not be heard for a while..........
  17. There are different types of turrets. The turrets on rails are fun. Also the turret placements are strategic in most of the maps so they are actually useful and not just noob magnets like 2k4. The Hellbender is better than demo but beams aren't chargeable. With all the new vehicles and strategies, it will take us a while to find out what the strengths & weaknesses of each vehicle. Instead of the hellbender being a manta killer it may be better suited for orb runner supression. IMO, the hellbender twin beams were a bit overpowered for UT2K4 atleast in 6v6 matches. Remember trying to get to Dria side nodes in a manta with a Hellbender guarding. It took atleast 2-3 tries (1st 2 just to find it). BTW, the necris vehicles are by far the coolest in the game. The Necris version of the Hellbender can go invis and then add in the deployables (slow volume, spider mines, etc) it really can be a great node defender or bottleneck defender. Hellbender is powered enough to kill a manta in UT2004. Ever try to kill dingy's tank or a raptor with Hellbender? Takes 2-3 hits and you die facing an experience opponent. I know cause it has happened to me numerous times. As for Dria, it was probably me or Bushwack hitting you. It is not easy to hit an evasive manta with Helbender twin beam but Bush has skill and I have put ALOT OF TIME into it to get better with such a great distance of view. New UT3 Hellbender may be good for flag or node carrier suppression, but feel sniper rifle better option. The twin (nerfed) weapon may be slightly more powerful than your weapons available on foot but with greater silhouette and limited zoom not worth it. Besides, I would rather have old helbender so I would kill or disrupt vehicle towing orb guy then hit them again when they are picking themselves up. Full charge for vehicles and small charges for people. The way it is now, all you have are small charges. You may take out or knock off orb carrier from hoverboard, but any vehicle towing (scorp?) and by chance advancing on you will try to kill you and your hellbender. Unless you switch to shock balls fast enough.
  18. Theoretically speaking, I 100% agree that Warfare is gonna rox your sox. Nothing like sending a scorp head long into a tank. Very smooth. Almost seemless transitions. Primus' new favorite toy. MadPat will be happy with turrets. No arc on shots and splash! Attack, CounterAttack, OrbCounterAttack, OrbSupression, all kinds of fun tactical stuff. In my opinion, the only thing holding back the game is the outside of game problems (server browser, friends, gamespy, etc). Oh yeah and custom crosshairs. I like turrets but they don't move and have limited areas of attack. I like killing from hidden spots in hellbender. I hope they patch the hellbender to a charge weapon with other additions mentioned
  19. Well, I'd have to be hoping YOU werent in the twin beams you haxor! Cant say I miss trying to kill you 3 times in a manta and getting shot 3 times with the MP beams of death. I have done some amazing single shots on you dark with twin from say half distance of dawn map and you not expecting it, but I cannot honestly remember getting a kill on you three times in a row. I considered myself lucky to get you with two twins in a row and that was rare.
  20. You put 3 people on a loaded bender you have your whole team in a 6v6 match... I dont have to point out what kind of strategy that would be. Heck, I'd attack that bender with a manta by myself and ONLY have to worry about the guy in the twin beams. The solution you're looking for is for epic to update the graphics of ut2k4. Like's been said, the ctf map SUCKS BIGTIME. None of us are ctf players at heart anyway, some more dm'ers than others, but none are true ctfers (afaik). It's like pointing out all the flaws of ictf because there's low grav and you can boost your teammate with the flag by hitting him with your own shock. Every game has "exploits" that are to be discovered, and ut3 is not an exception to that rule. It's just different than 2k4. And yep, it's still just the demo. We havent even seen how the new nodes build yet, or how much link it takes to knock down the core, etc etc etc. In a match I have never seen whole team of 6 on hellbender. I have seen it on omnipotents during a 32 player game. I have seen you take out three people at a node with just a manta very quickly. I mentioned in "dark arrived like a sack of hammers to opposing team" thread.
  21. I think they did mess up. I feel they got lucky with ut2004 in that they made it in such a way that we as players could adapt and exploit it. We had limited rides, we learned to ride on vehicles except raptor. Wherever we could find purchase would work on us. Diving on top of enemy levi on foot was one way to provide more damage than second we lasted on ground. I can understand some of their changes but I do not like them. Hoverboards allow flag carriers to be more easily intercepted. Flag carrier on a manta or vehicle like turbo scorpion much harder to stop. New helbender too tall for jumping on and easier to see so have to use hoverboard. I kind of feel the two person from three person occupancy is either or. Nice to fire shock balls while driving but a designated gunner and more people on board to dismount better then towing 3rd guy who cannot fire. If guy unboards, he is left behind. Under right circumstances I have seen fully loaded helbenders carrying like 3 people on top. That has 5 people firing twin(unnerfed), shock, and three hand weapons (shocker,lg, rockets, mini, etc). Attack a node and even if vehicle goes down, have like minimum 3 people on foot still fighting. Easy solution is keep vehicles the same by make hoverboard only way to transport flag carrier by vehicle instead of on top. Everything could be kept the same. If it is a new game call it something without words "Tournament" or "Unreal" but be described as "Nerfed UT2004 with extras for PS3" Give us pc players, who spend hundreds updating our gaming computers, Unreal Tournament 2007 described as "UT2004 plus extras". What works should be kept. Add to it to better. What works should not have pieces cut out of and replaced with "what we should want" by some third moronic party.
  22. I am getting into tam a little. I do suck at it. I cannot dodge that well and my fov80 tends to let me only see straight in front. Just visualize a guy running into rooms with a long barrel sniper rifle with a scope to his eye. Not a lot of peripheral awareness. Thats me. I do like the open maps like Tokara Forest. It is open enough that dodging matters but not as much as a confined space. Lets the ons players feel like ons just without vehicles, nodes, and core and a limited supply of ammo.
  23. I only did that because I snipe, had distance, and a lg. In dm, you crucify me. I like to put some distance between me and you gc dm killers. I last a WHOLE LOT LONGER. Can't hit you guys with helbender if you see me. On the other hand, the bots and noobs ate alot of twin beams. Mobile Turret? Does it have a zoom? Does it kill manta with one shot? Got to wait and see....... will miss the lg also.
