    What Mic Headset?

    Personally, I'm partial to the higher quality monitor-style headphones -- like Sennheiser. The mic is the cheap part of the package. I'd rather get a completely separate mic that can be clipped on your shirt and easily disconnected.

     

    I'm not sure how good my current mic sounds, but its just a cheap ol logitech stand mic that I move about six inches in front of my face when I play CS; but good quality headphones are indispensable.

     

    Agreed. I use senn 555's and a cheap 8 dollar desk mic

     

     

    I have a headset now , the clip on or desk mic could work. How close does the desk one have to be?

    I run it in my VMare network and I will not upgrade from xp anytime soon.

     

    I did say the same thing running 3.1 to 95....mmm

     

    Nope..still wont run it for a while.

     

    Security is a pain more than a helper. I run XP Pro now on my gamer and I dont even run AV..no spyware no virus, its just a marketing scam...Few tips and your pretty much golden.

     

    They stole from Firefox just like they did MAC...well linux.

     

    Google Ubuntu if you ever want a wicked system for everything but games..sigh MS is good for a few things.

    LCD Help Needed

    Have a CRT monitor now and would like to upgrade to a WS 22 inch LCD. Did a lot of surfing and can't seem to get a solid answer on what to get. One loves it the other hates it kinda thing.

     

    Need it for gameing and watching movies plus the usual stuff.

     

    I have a agp 6800gt vid card. I am not sure if this would display ok on the larger screen, but it has dvi out.

     

    I would like High Def compatible to watch the good stuff in the future. Right now I watch everyting Divx.

     

    Anyone suggest a "good" 22 inch screen that is not too pricey.

    I wont be able to get on until thurs, but i am sure we will have some fun.

     

    I can't get voip to work though. Like many other people, when I enable I crash within a few min. Turn it off and I am good.

    Just got BF2142 and I find it a lot of fun. Never tried the earlier BF series.

     

    I am leveling up a support class and looking for a server/clan with good squads.

    Your looking at omnidirectional antenna there too. Think of a big donught (Mmmmmm Sprinkles) radiation pattern from your WAP. That based on vertical antenna alignment.

     

    Basicaly it is moving out in a circle and down and up a small amount.

     

    Try putting the antennal level with the floor, which would make the pattern more vertical.

     

    If your flashing your firware linux, id say your beyond basic skills. Try running Omnipeek personal from wild packets. Its free and can help with your setup.
