  2. 1) dx9 has more bloat in it. Less efficient code. Your vid card can handle it just fine, but dx81 has much less "features" in it so you don't get as much of the behind the scenes stuff which creates more vid card "lag"

    2) All 3 are in my autoexec.cfg

    3) They enable the multimedia functions on your processor, or rather, they enable HL2 to access them, creating some load-sharing for graphics related processor calculations. Basically, it makes your processor work more efficiently. I run a P4, so I have all 3 enabled, but if you have r_sse2 "1" then you don't really need r_sse1.

  3. Aztec's just not a hard rush map. It's tactical and strategic. You do need some aim. CT's can get away with just rushing, T's cannot. You need to pick on Aztec then go where the other team isn't. That's easy to coordinate when you have 3-4 good players on T, but harder, much harder when it's a general pub rush.

     

    Bottom line, to win on T, you need to coordinate. That means teamwork. Work on that.

     

    Picking on bridge is always important. Holding DD is as well. Water is sort of a freeforall. You have to stop the rush from CTs, and then decide if you're going to go that way.

     

    It turns into a blood bath bcs 2 or 3 rounds of losses in a row means that T's are broke for the entire map. Leaving a severe gun imbalance. It's a hard map to pub well as T, but it is alot of fun.

  4. Was playing CoH for a while. My mmog guild moved on to EQ2 so I dropped it. Only got to 30 on my Claws/Regen Scrapper, enough to see how uber IH + Integration are. Shame, the game is really fun and simple--new Issue 3 changes sound awesome too.

  5. I don't use interporlate(hate the jerkiness) or any of the really ugly graphics makers. Some stuff I do turn on and it looks awesome. I leave shadows on bcs it's actually a great warning if ppl are walking around.

     

    I'll paste my config when I get home. Haven't tried r_sse1/2 yet, but I may have to.

     

    My fps using this config went from 60 solid > 40fps firefights to 100 solid>60firefights.

  6. 90-120 fps solid except for spawn on Dust and Italy--which for some reason cause me to dip to 45. Must be a texturing issue that I haven't bothered to troubleshoot. (I'll spike to 300fps when I'm staring at the wall 2 inches from my face, but I don't think that counts ;p)

    Spiral, turn Vsync off. And install Powerstrip so that you can set your monitor refresh higher. 60hz gives me headaches from the tearing on the screen.

  7. Basic and Prime accounts are being listed now in the stats. Unfortunately, its still cumbersome to weed through it all. But your name should be there somewhere.

     

    There are 10 servers to choose from now. If you can't find one near you, you'll have to move into North America somewhere ;p

    Click on More statistics for full stats. You'll have to page thru, we haven't implemented a good search on it yet. Stats are updated after each map rotation on each server.

     

    Ping-wise, the servers see a spike when alot of prime users try to connect to the same user at the same time (we need to auth them before we let them in). It's an issue we're working on, and should be resolved soon.

    Always fun playing wif joo. And I think you've raised an excellent point here... like Fatty said, we're under construction. Waiting is the name of part of this game... or something like that which doesn't rhyme quite so... gaily.

  10. Why does the startmoney ahve to be 802 (out of curiousity)?

     

    Is it set to kick if you TK someone after 10seconds? I got kicked off the server last night after fatty enabled it bcs some nub strafed in front of my 2 ak bursts ;/

     

    Also, can we do:

     

    cl_pushaway_force "0" ?

     

    That disables the barrels from shoving you around. Makes gameplay more fun.
