  1. Hey all. I am flying out to Vegas tomorrow, and I want to watch some movies on my netbook on the plane. I don't want to have to bring my external dvd drive, and the power eusage it requires. I want to copy a couple DVDs to my hard drive to watch on the plane, but there are like 1000 apps out there to complete this task. Any suggestions of free apps that would be able to do this?

  2. I think winamp may have a tool to sync with your ipod, so you can use that to get the music to your HD, then import into iTunes, then back to the ipod. That or ditch iTunes if you don't use the store.

  3. Outside of my current MW2 addiction, I mostly play TF2 these days, so I will hop in when I can. I also have work and grad school going on though, so my gaming time is much more limited then it was in the past...

  4. So I hear it still doesn't support flash, so you lose that part of the internets.

We were talking about this in B school yesterday in my Marketing Strategy class a bit. The only reason I would buy one, and in fact the reason that would make me buy one right away, would be if you could get school books on it. If I could have 1 device instead of the massive text books that I have I would get one. Also, this would make reading for class on the EL actually feasable.

The only caveat being they (the books) would have to be more reasonably priced then the hard copy editions. Or transferable to other people's devices after you are done with them to enable a resale market. I know the publishers would hate it, but it makes those $200+ books more palatable...

  5. Systems Engineer for a large derivatives exchange in Chicago. I support ~5000 linux / unix servers in a high availability / low latency environment. I am also working on my MBA at one of the top 5 schools in the country. Playing far too much MW2 recently.
