Yeah Sedah I figured you could room with us next year since you're riding with us anyway if Jackie goes, which I will make sure he does. I actually have 2 computers now since I bought my gaming laptop so Jackie can use that one this year!

@lousiest - Just so you know, you don't need a mic to join in vent, all you need is to listen, so go to http://www.ventrilo.com/ and download the software. Although microphones are pretty cheap nowadays, I should get your address from Sedah and send you one.

I'll play I suppose. Played MMO's before but was always to much of a lone wolf to get into the group stuff. Maybe with people I know it will be different.

Ok, about the guildname thing - honestly, I think it'd be better to join an existing guild. We tried creating one in GuildWars (remained pretty stagnant), Age of Conan (we ended up merging with another larger guild), and Warhammer (didn't have enough for a guild). Ooh, and WoW - Ebil can talk about that one, I never got into that game.

 

@lousiest - lots of people are sick of WoW, and they're looking for something different now. We will have to pick a common server (the company pays for the server instead of us, hence part of the monthly fee).

 

@Dragon - woot! It was a blast playing Age of Conan with you. Remember when we'd stealth around protecting the lowbies? What was our guild name? The Gank Police? That still cracks me up. What class do you plan on rolling here? If you go sin, I might reconsider and go ranger again.

Hehe, honestly Unclean I have no idea what classes are in the game(I'm sure they are like most mmos), I didn't even know there was a good side and bad side to the game until I read this topic. I figure I will just pick and choose everything when I get in game. I'm also not as excited for this game like I was for AoC before the game came out. I'm just playing the Open Beta to try the game out, and only because FilePlanet was offering keys.

But yeah the good old days of AoC were quite fun, it's too bad the game dropped off content wise later on. We should have stuck with the The Gank Police, because the guilds we joined after that weren't so great, hehe. Also we created the guild ourselves Lousiest, a lot of us just hated seeing so many new people being ganked. We'd save some newbies and then they'd join us, was kind of cool.

Maybe Aion will be decent enough for me to want to pay another subscription to a game.

I have a subscription to Fileplanet and they are giving away keys today at some point, haven't received the key yet, but I will sometime today.

I will be trying this game out through the fileplanet beta that starts the 6th. But I should get my key today at some point.

Darkside all the way, I hate being good in any game.

I just finished playing the Fallen Earth(another mmo coming out soon) Open Beta and I have to say, the game was a breath of fresh air from most mmos I have played. Fallen Earth is kind of like a Fallout 3 mmo. I didn't get to play too much because beta ended last night and I started Saturday.

I decided I will try Aion first, then from there see which one I enjoy more.

UnderCover tried to run map night, but every new map he went to would give us all problems, and we would have to go download them manually. So we played a few custom maps we already had on the server. Thanks UnderCover for trying to run map night, especially since you didn't even have to.

I hope we can test these maps out next weekend.

I was just in the server and there are no admins, so I don't think map night is going to happen tonight. Come on admins, who wants to run an amazing custom map night?!?!?!?!

I just started today and at first you may think it's a little confusing, but after a bit of playing the game it becomes addictive. I could definitely get into this game like I do CS. Give the game a try and you might have some fun.

Shouldn't matter what you wear, last year a few others and I wore jeans and it was fine. By the way I like this golf course better than the old one, a lot more fun to drive the golf cart around.

Okay, just to make sure I am clear on this since I am a fragfest noob. The actual fragfest is at the holiday inn in Hudson, OH but the rooms that were reserved for fragfest are at a Clarion? If this is the case, does someone have the address of the Holiday Inn?

No, the hotel used to be a Holiday Inn, they changed the name to Clarion. So FragFest and where you stay are in the same hotel.

So I was going to send Fatty a pm about this, but since his inbox is full I'll post a topic. Just wondering about the address of the cookout if there is going to one this year. Yeah I received a trial also, but I don't plan on giving the game another go. Let me know what you think though, I'm really looking for more content from the game, like a bunch more.

I joined, but I really can't play the game atm. Getting kicked by Punkbuster, but what I've played so far I've enjoyed, and I can't wait to play a whole map someday!
