Alright you guys, I'm just lurking... I've never been one to post too much.... Anyway I am playing this game off and on also, I enjoy it so far, but Counterstrike is more enjoyable at the moment... I've only gotten to the part where you have to find the radio station, so I'm not too far in. I'm not playing it on a silly console though, PC all the way! Thanks for the shout out anonymo, maybe you should come play some Counterstrike, you too boiler! Although I just pre-ordered Left 4 Dead so I'll be playing that quite a bit soon enough.

Finally? I thought you had canceled a long time, well gratz on finally canceling the silly funcom game... It was fun in the beginning, and I was glad to play with all of you guys, but the game just wasn't fun anymore after 80... And I'm glad I canceled awhile back, because ya no promised PvP patch yet and it just looks pathetic on there part, oh well...

I'm trying out Warhammer right now... Prolly won't be picking it up though upon its release, if I do happen to pick it up it will be a couple months from now when people should hit the level cap and know if there is enough content... Its fun right now, but dunno if its really as enjoyable as AoC was in the beginning... The PvP is amazing though and they actually have their crap together on that part...

I might just start back up on WoW with some of my local friends, not sure as of yet, but its possible...

I should just quit these silly mmos and go back to FPS's...

Bought this game, thanks very much for the tip! I also have vista and before purchasing I checked out a few things to make sure it would work ok, and so far the game is working superb with the tips I used... As for Voodoo those tips Bushwack gave worked for me, but I also have all the other options set to the highest option they can go to... And I also heard it helps to play in the same resolution that you're desktop is in so check that out also under the graphics settings tab. I heard about this game a long time ago, but never got around to trying it out... Thanks again!!!

It wasn't that there wasn't any end game content, there was just no one on to run through the raids... Our guild kind of died, we were doing raids with another guild, but then both of our guilds ended up never having enough people, and that is when the guild slowly started dying to the point of 1 - 3(or none) people online at a time... And this exact same thing is happening to every guild in that server... And I'm not one for re-rolling on another server just to have that one die by the time I hit 80... Trust me I'd still be playing this game if a lot of other people would be playing also, but people are just not believing in this game, and now I have quit believing too.

Give it to Nikolas or keep it... I might come back to the game so my stuff is staying on my character...

Thanks for that offer Unclean, but I love my assassin, that is definitely not why I'm leaving... And I really don't want to check out any other classes, I checked out the necromancer with Voodoo's account and thought that I was glad I chose an assassin, way too many spells and stuff to try to figure out... I don't have the time much anymore anyway... If you want Unclean, I think I'm gonna be checking out Darkfall(after a few months of it being out though) after it comes out so I don't play a mmo that will die out eventually... It sounds more unique, and our guild is all for it, well that game and Warhammer... And honestly I think Warhammer is just gonna be like any other mmo, and prolly have lots of problems to begin with... Sorry I'm leaving the game, its a great game, but not enough people want to stick around and wait for new content...

I just canceled my account yesterday haha... If people start to play it again I'll think about signing back up... Also all that new content might be fun, but it wouldn't be fun alone... Everytime I log on nowadays noone is on in our guild and its not fun, so I'm paying for a game I'm not having fun in...don't like that... Anyway if new content does eventually happen and people start logging on again, I definitely will be back! Also I have until the 26th to play, that is when my game time will end...

I believe its because of the fact that the females in game were always slower in combos/normal attacks... They fixed the white attacks a few patches ago, but this patch is going to fix the combos(ones that create animations) for female speed...so it looks like they had to fix stamina with all that too...

Had an awesome time also! Thanks to everyone who helped make this year possible... I wish it lasted longer, but maybe next year more people will sign up for more pre-party events so I can make it last longer It seriously was really great even though we had half the size this year compared to last year!

Ugh Voodoo could already kill me within 10 seconds now it'll be 2 seconds Seriously though I think necros become more powerful higher levels, we'll see what happens, I think they did become a bit too powerful now, because from the power I saw from voodoo they were just fine...hehe...

I think this game just requires more skill and thought than most mmos... This combat system gives a unique experience to both PvE and PvP and the way the combos work is just fine... I know a few times I'm running after someone to finish them off, hit a couple keys while I'm running for a combo and then when I'm right behind them hit the last one off and they die... I don't think you're friend has played this long enough to have a say on the combat system, I don't think anyone really has...

Seeing as though we are mostly all in a PvP server, we will have some experiences with other players in the game that will make you feel great or upset... If you have a really good story of an experience that happened to you in the game whether you won or lost please post it up here, would be cool to hear some good PvP stories...

Necromancer = No HP, No armor, No good spells, Minions that enemies ignore, 1,000 deaths by level 40 and PvP bait. Have fun.

 

Me Conqueror. Me have big sword, but it slow and weak. Me have very weak combos and almost no way of healing self other than 20% neutral regen (that doesn't seem to work all the time). Me get stunned a lot and if snuck up on, have no way of dealing with rogues and assassins.

 

DF, ditch the Assassin and level your tempest to 80 with me.

Maybe I will do just that, and when you're not on to level with I'll level my assassin! So it'd be like me, you, and DNA, I just have to catch up is all, since my tempest is 21... But I know everything(exaggerating a bit) in the game now so I bet I could do it like tonight even...

On a side note, I think I'm starting to like my assassin for PvP... Last night I was 52 grouped with a same level guildie whom was a barbarian... Well we had just gotten out of an instance and we were walking out, I see this group of 3 out there(54 necro, 54 guardian, and some other who was 53) all from the same guild(deadly intentions). I of course go immediately into stealth(just in case) even though they knew I was there and the necro sends his pets onto my group member, so I go behind the necro and sneak attack 1 shot him...was kind of cool... So after he died we start attacking the 53, even though they were both on us, mostly the barbarian(apparently they aren't to afraid of assassins yet)... We kill the 53 pretty easily and then it was time for the long battle with the guardian, I had to pop a potion and a lotus healing spell from my tree to kill him, but finally after a long time of us both hitting him and circling we kill him too...

So they started a fight with all of there levels higher than us and we still won... It was a lot of fun and usually I feel terrible about killing others but they deserved it...hehe...

I hope it goes well! I think this will be my first custom map night missed in a long time, AoC is keeping me busy...hehe stupid mmos... Everyone go to scopeless!!!

Alright I'll put my 2 sense in on my classes I play...

Assassin - Ummm at the moment its a little bit unbalanced imo... I can only kill one or two mobs at my level at a time, sometimes 2 even requires a potion... So higher levels I have a rough time dealing with. Assassins can only wear cloth armor and the strongest combat we have is close up, and I mean close seeing as we can only use daggers and they have the shortest range of all other weapons. We have no ways of really stunning or slowing down enemies until level 70 and apparently female assassins(one I'm playing) attack slower at the moment... The Devs are looking into that, but I've been playing for awhile now and I could of been leveling even faster We are really squishy compared to a caster because at least a caster can attack from long range, we have to get up close, and 1 or 2 hits can sometimes even take us down in PvP... We have an upside which is what I mainly like assassin type classes for and thats stealth. We have stronger stealth than anyone else in the game and we have a stealth attack, so as long as we get to someone before they find you you should be ok. I mean we can kill pretty fast, but we have to be close and watch our health... I would reroll too, but I have faith that they will balance the class better in the future and then I may enjoy it more.

Tempest of Set - This is one of my alts at level 21 right now, but I love this class a lot. Its a group healing quest with spells focused on lightning to kill you're enemies. Also 2 really nice way to stun you're enemies making it easy to stun jump back and kill. This class at higher levels can take on multiple mobs with nice AoE spells and still heal themselves and others. PvP is nice with this character also.

Dark Templar - Another alt at level 20 right now, and it is my first tank character ever in a mmo. It is a fun class to play because its a tank but also uses spells to drain health from the enemy and give back to yourself. I had quests where I had to take on 4 same level enemies as myself and I did it with ease. I like this character, but still a little slow to kill stuff, I just have high defense...

Of all 3 I really like my tempest, but now that I've leveled my assassin to 49 so far its kind of hard to switch, maybe after I hit 80

I'll sign up for Cedar Point if enough ppl are going in the long run(so just sign me up now)... Sign me up for the preparty and also spectator for golf... And I can also lend a hand on Thursday night... I missed all of this last year and want to make it a week trip this time around so I can't wait!

I know nothing about AoC, but I'm guessing it's pretty awesome and I would enjoy it. I just don't have the time to get involved in that type of game, for better or worse.

 

My 360 and I will be lonely, but I take heart in knowing this: I found a thread from late '06/early '07 where you were pining for a Wii and even mentioned you were getting one at some point. Since this obviously never happened it's possible AoC will have the same fate

 

Guess I'll just have to catch you guys in CS (if you will still play it )

Ok, here are two relevant thoughts:

1. Play it on your laptop. Pretty significant performance boost because of the processor, slight boost from vid card.

2. It's nearing the time for you to put that PC out to pasture and build it a newer/faster friend

 

 

Dragon, have fun with Anonymo in AoC. Just so you know, he needs to be walked 2-3 times per day but is OK to be left loose while you're at work. He eats a fair amount, but isn't too particular about brand - just pick something that will be good for his coat and have some Canadian whiskey handy. If you must get him wet to take a bath, just remember to never ever feed him after midnight.

Rofl thanks for the tips... Hehe I think Anonymo can hold his own, but if he does need a walk here and there I'll make sure to hand the leash over to Unclean or possibly even Voodoo, I think one of those guys are better fit for that type of a situation... And Boiler I'm sure Anonymo will play GTA 4 or whatever game you 2 play together again because he just can't stay away from you forever

I mean its not like you only have to play one game... Also I haven't really played another game except one night(customs and stayed just for 2 maps or so) of CS since I've started this game so that shows how much truth there is to my words...hehe...
