I'd like to think I'm fortunate that 5 days a week I stand with my students and say the pledge. I ask them to stand straight and be proud, and they do. Today, I said it louder and mold boldly than I ever have, I believe. Do you guys say the pledge in your high schools?

We also had a moment of silence this morning. Not a kid in my class made a peep, which I was very proud of.

Remember, when you guys are around little children, whether it's in the store, in your school, on the street, wherever.... they look at you to see how they should be acting. You are helping to model America with your actions. What kind of America are you helping to create?

Thanks for the words. We don't really have an open enrollment, but this community definitely needs more people around who share the common good nature. We have a great bunch of people, both in Mmmm and in the surrounding teams, many of which call this community their home.

Bottom line: You'll never know the complete truth about everyone. I know that valve is working again to some degree, saw someone banned by it recently. At some point, you're just going to have to accept the fact that it does you no good to yap about everthing.

People have stated here that they think camel hacks. Very well, you've said it. What Mmmm is going to do is exactly this: not allow Platinum to become some trash-talk ghetto. We never have, and never will.

If a single player can aggrivate you so much, find one of the other thousands of servers that that person doesn't frequent. We, however, have the luxury of removing the people that are so caught up about things. If you don't like that, again, you know where the door is.

However, I just reread Contra's post in the private forums.It's sad that some people treat her differently now that she's joined us. Like they can't be friendly anymore.

Anyways, I'm even growing tired of hearing about this, and until someone can show me proof that someone else cheats, I'm not going to listen to public accusations.

As for the got boys, I'm going to give them some time off for making Contra and anyone else enjoy just a little bit less. She's smart, and not going to start tossing out bans left and right....but I will, and so will the rest of us.

Bottom line: Play the game. If you have a cheat detection system that verifies cheats, show me. If not, bit your lip.

Actually, it might be more of an indicator than we think. The fact is, by your post, you're showing that you just don't understand the whole topic. If I said some choice words to your mother, then looked at you and said, hey, it's just words, pal...how would you react. If you weren't infuriated, then you've got no respect for her.

You probably think drugs should be legalized too, right? Hey it's your body.

Should we be allowed to manufacture bombs too? Free country, right?

The big question was this: Is it necessary to use profanity to communicate? The answer is obviously no, which means you are making a conscious decision to cuss every time you do.

There's gotta be a place where you would hold your tongue (if not, you've got big problems). How about church? Maybe you attend, but my guess is you don't. Maybe on Christmas? How about a wedding. Ok, during that wedding, you trip and fall right in front of everyone. You going to be dropping the F-Bomb? No, you'll exercise some control in that extreme situation.

Now when you go on down the line of settings, you very quickly come to the atmosphere where you let the words fly. So there is a line somewhere, albeit very far up towards the right. Thus, you choose.

Now, if you're going to go back to the "programmed automatic" argument, then you're just saying that you don't have control over yourself, which may be more evidence of the indicator we spoke of above.

Played summer softball with a guy who came in, and this guy dropped the F-Bomb in just about every sentence. Early in the season, I had my daughter with me, and he let it fly, and I asked him to be more careful (politely) when my daughter was in earshot.

After the season was over, he pulled me aside and thanked me for having the balls to speak up, and that he's been more aware since that day. He didn't want to sound like a sailor.

Swearing? It's a lack of self-control.

Hmmm...I must not have been playing during that conversation, DJ. If you can tell me who the Mmmm was, I'd enjoy that. Heck, don't hesitate to kick people from around here. As far as I'm concerned, the kick/ban comes faster for someone I recognize that should know better!

I used to hate it too, but don't mind it so much now. Some people pointed out that it kept getting voted up. The fact is, I think more people like it than not...but hey, we could always vote it right back off!
