    if it's any consolation ebil I'm having car troubles as well and the day before I'm supposed to move back to school. Apparently I have a bad piston head or a bad throttle guage sensor or something...

    If I can get time off from work this year I'll be doing my best to get over there but the likelihood of that happening is rather low. I'd say around 10% however if things pull through it'll be my first FFOhio

    Yeah very very true. The server has died pretty much. Not the same server it used to be... but people are moving on with there lives. When CS was at its height everyone was playing and there was a real need for good admin power. I'd say 3/4+ of the old regulars don't play anymore. 1 bad day... you know it happens. Maybe you should be an admin! I VOTE YES!

     

    I feel that CS:S has pretty much run it's course and that is the main reason for the server's apparent death. I still play but I greatly prefer TF2 these days. I hang around and continue to play CS:S and support the servers (by the way dues in the "mail" soon as I get my Christmas check deposited) but that's because of the community here which, at least when I'm playing and around is still a good community. @Vovik, I think you just got unlucky, playing with a couple of poopy butts. I'm glad you're not serious about quitting and if ever you experience a similar problem check to see if I'm on steam (I think we're friends and if not feel free to friend invite me) and I'll come in and fix the problem. You could also contact any of the other admins that I'm sure fill your friends list.

    Prayer Request

    I just found out that about 6 days ago my Best Friend got dumped by his Girlfriend of 2 and a half years. I don't know the details because he didn't want to volunteer them but this was a woman whom he had entertained thoughts of marriage to. I just saw him today face to face for the first time since the breakup and I've never seen him so tormented. He really needs prayer.

     

    I also need prayer. Finals week is next week but my personal decent into madness begins Friday. I have a revue/presentation that determines whether I can progress further in my degree program (BFA Theatre Tech). It will be in front of 8 professors 2 of which do not have the most stellar opinions of me. Please pray that I'll be calm about the up-coming and that I'll be able to keep a level head about me (2 things that I have trouble with when I'm stressed) and that I'll be able to do my best so that whether I fail or succeed I have no regrets.

    GC Inflight Announcement

    I think that it's a common theme that Most of us who play on the GC servers play here because we like the people. I started at the beginning because I was a language prude who got sick of hearing obscenities if I un-muted people. Since then I've found other clean servers but keep coming back here (and eventually became admin here) because I've found a CSS server that's kinda like Cheers I almost always get greeted by a friend when I show up and it makes the experience that much more fun. I've not been playing recently becuase school is threatening to kill me with work loads and stress. But finals week is coming up so I'll be able to play a whole lot more :freak: (never study during finals week you'll just die) I guess the point that I'm trying to make is...

     

    This community is the reason I still play CS:S at all and I want to protect it.

    I can do it and even have some maps picked out that might be fun if you don't want to have to go through the entire process.

    No offense intended Shaft but after ending up subbing 2 weeks in a row I thought it would be good to prepare against a possible third.

    I'll hunt up the links again for the maps I've already downloaded and put them up in the admin forum for actual uploading (still don't know how to do that) if that's alright with you.

    When DNF finally comes out I'll be in my bomb shelter because I'm pretty sure its release begins the apocalypse. That's why 3DR keeps delaying it, they're trying to keep the world safer that much longer.
