  1. I honestly didn't read all of this thread, I haven't checked the political forums in about a week. She doesn't have to agree with everything the church does or says. However Abortion and lame Marriage happen to be 2 of the biggest issues the church is facing and is very strong on. So it is a pretty big thing to disagree on.

  2. alright i'm still kinda hazzy on this.

Can someone describe differences between PvP and PvE

i played PvE from what i understand you can attack comps and stuff, and if someone that's not part of your alliance wants to attack you they have to ask for a duel. When i was horde, other horde asked to duel with me, i know that humans can just down right attack if they see other people.

So PvP what's the difference? i really dont see this. If you link me please post up the relavent part

Basically on a PvP server once you are level 20 or higher you will be in contested zones in which anyone of the other faction can attack you. On a PvE server you have to go in and raid the other factiosn towns in order to turn your pvp flag on and then they can attack you and you can attack them. However once they put Battlegrounds in then those will be designated PvP zones. I am of the opinion that the best PvP will come on PvE servers in the Battlegrounds. I did not particularly enjoy leveling to 60 on the closed beta PvP server :P too much ganking for my likes. I love PvP I hate ganking.

  3. and just how long can we keep creating landfills before we are sleeping with trash?

Or how long can we keep dumping it in our ocean before we have no fish left to catch.

could you give one example of how recycling is harmful?

I am going to go see if I can rent this tonight, I know they have it at Blockbuster, I don't want to spew off without knowing exactly what I am saying, I never do that and I don't want to become uncredible. So I will go watch it again tonight so I can tell you exactly what they say. I highly recommend you watch it, they do specifically debunk everything you have said so far.

  4. but landfills take a lot of space, and take decades before the land is even safe enough to think about doing anything with.

Actually they debunked that too where they showed a city in California that was built over a landfill in like a year and there were no smells or anything about it to cause a hazard.

You see, you are saying everything they have told you to be true but the facts are that it is all a fabrication. I don't know if they did it to get more taxes, to create jobs or what but the fact is that it isn't helping the environment in any way except in the case of aluminum.

  5. That's the thing though, if you watch the show you will see they prove that it actually creates more polution recycling the things than it does to just bury them in a landfill. Then they go on to debunk that a landfill smells and that a landfill has no use because it will eventually degrade and become rich with nutrients soil. I wish I had the show right in my hand to watch because they basically debunked everything you have said for recycling. They showed that recycling was actually more harmful to the environment than simply throwing it away and dealing with it in the way that all our trash is dealt with.

I am all for preserving our environment I just think recycling is a big fabrication and I have seen evidence and documentation to show that.

  6. Sooooo....you have to use the touch screen to look around...how do you press the buttons to fire?  Is that easy or hard?

Seems odd to me.  Anybody know what it retails for?

You tap on the touch screen to shoot.

  7. The Kyoto thread got me thinking. Why does the government and "environmental activists" push so much for recycling when it costs much more money and even costs more resources to recycle? The only thing that we recycle that is beneficial is aluminum. That is why you can actually sell your old cans. If it were beneficial to recycle paper you would see plants where you could sell your paper. The fact of the matter is that the lumber companies plant more trees than they cut down and they plant them in an orderly fashion so that they have a better chance of growing than the natural trees. So why is it such a huge thing? I think the bottom line is that it was an excuse to get taxes to pay for it and it creates jobs. If you want to see a pretty good bit on it go rent Penn and Tellers BS. They did an episode on recycling that has stuck with me though it wasn't the first time I had heard of it. Basically some scientist and government group started this big recycling scare and created this industry that I believe costs the taxpayers 8 billion dollars every year(I don't know the exact figure I think this one is correct but I am probably off). The problem is that it is a complete fabrication.

  8. How come people keep trying to insist that global warming is a bunch of hoopla when all the facts point to its existence?

Wasn't there a report released recently, written up by the world's scientists that shows that global warming is definitely real and definitely happening?

I will try to find out more bout it.  If anyone else has a link to this story, hook a brotha up!

I've seen as much "facts" and "proof" and "scientific documentation" showing that global warming is greatly overexaggerated at best and basically completely false as I have seen supporting it.

  9. Ya so I played that Metroid demo on it last night and Im not a big fan of the control. Yea I know ive had this DS for 3 days and JUST played it. I mean the touch screen to look around is a neat idea, but its kinda hard to aim i think. Plus I beat Metroid Prime and I LOVED the control for that game with the Cube's trigger button to aim and all. I hope Mario DS doesnt use the touch screen for control.  Im thinkin about buying that game, even though I have it for N64.

I've heard if you use the thumb strap for Metroid Prime Hunters or whatever its called the controls are much better though still slightly awkward. I won't be getting the one for DS I will get Metroid Prime 2 but it is on hold since I have HL2 and WoW to play.

  10. You know what our biggest mistake is? Letting the media over there. A reporter has no business being in the heart of Fallujah along side our troops, the are a minor distraction at best and a liability. No other country publicizes the things that go wrong in their wars like that. I think the media doesn't belong there and things like this shouldn't ever make it to TV.

  11. i never said run over there and shake him and try and hand cuff him....if he doesnt surrender shoot him...if he does take him to prision...the guy didnt have the chance to do either

So ok, let's say he surrenders then as you go to cuff him he blows himself up. What then?

  12. Ok didn't paying an unholy 49.95 for cs source purchase hl2 when it was released too?

That was the impression I was under......Where the heck do you get a CD key from then????

If you already paid then you don't need a CD key, you should just restart Steam and then HL2 should be on your Play Games menu if it isn't already and then you just right click it and hit Install.

  13. he should of be given the chance to surrender before being shot

    then maybe a hug

What about his buddy that did that the day before and was blown up? When is it right to give the guy a chance to surrender and when is it stupid and risking your life unnecessarily? You will scream bloody murder over all the soldiers that have died like the ones blown up by these booby trapped bodies yet when they don't take that risk you scream that they are being inhumane. You can't have it both ways.

  14. I'm not totally done with the craft...just fell through the dam, but I just have to ask:  Is anyone else using surround sound and have a sub-woofer cranked on when the chopper started dropping the mass mines?  WOW!  Talk about some poundage.  :boing:  :boing:

Like ST mentioned in the other topic, the water ride is just plain fun.  The physics are lovely, the sights and scenes are splendid....

Did you guys come to a "screeching" halt when you almost past that trailer with all the ammo and health in it?  PIT STOP!

I love the little puzzles....like I mentioned, it's Myst on steroids and interactive!

Yeah, the falling towers is incredible...just SO DARN HUGE!  Amazing.  Ran right into it.

Anywone else fly smack into the exploding wall of fire early on?  Dunno how I didn't burn up in that one.

I must have missed the trailer with health and ammo though I came out of the helicotper fight with full ammo on everything and full health/armor so its all good.

I smacked right into the tower as well.

I avoided the burning wall. That was one great level very intense especially at the end when the copter is chasing you and just massively drops all those mines and then the fight with the copter he was going nuts with the mines but wasn't a challenge at all.

  15. Yeah I have always thought global warming was overrated and there is no data to back it up that I have seen, I mean I still get several feet of snow every winter and it sucks to shovel it :P

  16. We need more efficient cars.  Scientists have this theory called "peak oil" and it says that even as early as 2010 the world could be facing a dangerous oil shortage.

While I don't disagree that we need more efficient cars, they have been saying that we would be running out of oil within 10 years since the 70s. I do my part and drive a car that gets 30mpg in the city and 40mpg on the highway :P as long as I am not burdened down with a full load that is and normally it is just me in the car anyways.

  17. Good response Ish, even if we do disagree on whether we should have gone in. It gets old when people say we were lied to by the President about WMD and other issues when intelligence has been saying this for years. It turns out that Saddam had fooled everyone, including his own people about this fact.

What bugs me is when the same people who say we acted on false intelligence regarding the WMD in Iraq also say that Bush had intelligence warning him of 9/11 and did nothing. I'm sure there are lots of intelligence reports that get mentioned but nothing ever comes of them, likewise there are some that we act on that the people never hear about and some that we act on that the people do hear about. There was a lot of evidence of Iraq having WMD, not only our intelligence but other countries as well. I don't think it is even an issue imo.
