  1. i am a little confused...do people in these postions usually resign or are they being forecd out?

It has long been rumored that he was only going to stick around for one term anyways, they usually resign or get kicked out when a new president comes in. I don't think all these people are being forced out but one can never truely know what goes on behind the scenes.

  2. it is monday.

one more day!  i was planning on takin the day off but i can't.

anyone know what time they're unlockin it?  probably says it on the steam site somewhere but i couldnt find it...

i, too, will be takin my sweet time with this one.  whats the rush?

I don't think they have announced the time yet, if it unlocks at Midnight EST I will be up all night playing it and go into work tomorrow as a zombie :P

  3. Well, I guess they proved why they shouldn't be #1. It feels good to be right. 5 unbeaten left, but actually 4, since Boise State doesn't really count... you could say 3 if you want to discount Utah. USC is winning against Arizona right now, OU and Auburn dominated. Im pretty sure the standings will be the way they are, Auburn could jump OU, nothing left but to wait.

I hope Auburn jumps over OK, I think they deserve it, if Auburn finishes the season unbeaten I hope they go to the Orange Bowl.

Pours out a 40 for the Badgers :tired:

  4. From what I have heard of Arnold doing in CA I would like for him to be able to run for President. From what I have heard down there he is doing good things for the state. It will be interesting if they change the laws, I mean the whole reasoning behind why you need to be a natural born citizen doesn't really apply to him. I would like to see them change the rules to natural born citizen or a US citizen for X years.

  5. Yep, I looked it up and its Washington and Miami in 91, and Colorado and GT in 90. Great weekend of football coming up, and no the Badgers shouldn't be #1 in your football... and if you want to, I'll prove more reasons why. Also, any more questions about BCS till its the end of the season and we have like 4 undefeated teams and you will find me eating my own words...  :D

I'm not saying that the Badgers deserve to be #1, I am saying they deserve a chance to prove they are #1 :P I don't think Auburn is going to go undefeated, but as far as USC, OK, WI, UT and Boise St. it is a possibility for all 5 of those teams, Auburn could do it they just have a much, much tougher road ahead of them and if they do go undefeated they certainly deserve a chance at the orange bowl.

  6. did i read that right, when you break the law- ignoring rights is "ok" because it is a "risk they knew about"?

I am all for people having their rights, but I think I tend to agree here it is impossible to accomodate large quantities of people when they are out causing trouble like that. I think there needs to be a little freedom here for the police to detain the trouble makers until the situation calms down. There is nothing against peaceful protestors still.

  7. Oh and every time I call him, I know more about what is going on than he does!

Ive come to the conclusion that either:

    - He is trying to do too much (overworked).

    - Lazy and making up stuff instead of taking care of his business.

    - Greedy (doing too much so he can get more $$ and the customers are suffering quality of service)

Anyhow, how long should it take to get a broker to find a lender, get a rate and close? Maybe 10 business days? More?

Depends on the broker and title company, my title company specializes in quick turn around and clean title. Some title companies will insure over judgements on title and take exception or anything of the sort. We require clean title to close the loan. We also mostly deal with refinances but we do purchases now and then. On a refi we can go from you walking in the broker's office on say a Monday and we could be closing your loan as early as wednesday but realistically easily closing you on Thursday or Friday. With a purchase add in a couple more days so 5-7 days shouldn't be a problem to get you closed on a purchase assuming you have a clean title and appropriate credit from the start. Broker's lie, its what they do, it doesn't really matter which broker you have they will lie to you about something and most of them try to pretend they know more than they do. Really Brokers are over glorified customer service reps. The title company does most of the work as well as the lender.

  8. 91300 votes missing a minor error? im sure you wouldnt be saying that if bush had lost and those had been republican votes

in case any of you need help with the ma(th

    (91802 + 1041) - 1542 = 91300

you obviously didn't understand what they were saying. They were saying 91,802 was added to the initial 454,427 which gives a total of 546229 which is slightly more than the initial total meaning that everything seems to be in order. Stop spouting your crap around here it is getting really old, really quick, why don't you try and make an arguement for yourself for once.

    A little math for you:

454,427 + 91,802 = 546,229 which is slightly higher than the initial total vote tally of 542,835

and yes I am a conservative and am more likely to vote republican than democrat but Ifound some of this funny.

  10. Whelp, if I call them, it will just be to get a straight story. I havent been grumpy with anyone yet, but every time I hang up with my broker, I am scratching my head lol. Im talkiing with the builder's "closing office", found a friend there who is able to explain what is happening. I'll let you know when we have closed. Thanks for the help Chuck.

np, I really only fully know the title company side of things as that is where I work. What I do know is that the lender and broker try to blame us for everything and then tell the borrower the same thing. We have to pretty much take everyone's crap :P That is why if you are reasonable with a title company you can usually get something out of them.

  11. H.L. Mencken on religion and science:

    Mencken's Creed

I believe that religion, generally speaking, has been a curse to mankind - that its modest and greatly overestimated services on the ethical side have been more than overcome by the damage it has done to clear and honest thinking.

I believe that no discovery of fact, however trivial, can be wholly useless to the race, and that no trumpeting of falsehood, however virtuous in intent, can be anything but vicious.

And why should I care what he says?

  12. and the theory doesn't actually say that we use to be gorrillas, it says that gorrillas and us came from a 'common' decendent. ie, we branched off and evolved through a process of mutation and natural selection. because to say we came from gorrillas is to say that gorrillas were immune to evolution too.

and there is no proof for this, there are no missing links or anything that have been found. What I was taught in high school was that we came from a single cell lifeform and evolved over millions of years which completely went against my religious beliefs. If we are going to have religious freedom and keep it out of school then we shouldn't be teaching things in school that go against someone's religion, plain and simple. I won't ever expect anyone who isn't a Christian to be forced upon them as fact Christian beliefs, however at the same time when I have kids I don't want them being taught evolution like I was in High School.
