  1. ummm im confused now

werent we talking about the protesters that were arrested in new york at the repbulican covention...the protestors were arrested for not being in the "freedom zone"

since it was the republican convention where the protestors were not allowed to pratice free speech anywhere but the freedom zone that is why i incorperated republicans into the conversation

Except it was the NYC police doing the arresting and they are run by a Democratic mayor.

  2. Yea, now that you mention it I think both 90 and 91 had split championships, I guess thats why they formed the Bowl Alliance. 90 it was Colorado and Georgia Tech maybe? and 91 Im sure it was Miami and Washington, not Washington State. I'll look it up sometime.

Did I say Washington STate? :P I know it was Washington I am a big Huskies fan, granted I like Washington State too :P But the Badgers are still my #1 in college football.

  3. I don't know about earlier but from 92 onwards with the bowl alliance/coalition and BCS:

    92: Alabama

    93: FSU

    94: Nebraska

    95: Nebraska

    96: Florida

97: 1st ever split with Bowl Coalition: Michigan/Nebraska

    98: Tennessee

    99: FSU

    00: Oklahoma

    01: Miami

    02: Ohio State

    03: 1st ever split with BCS: LSU/USC

Then it must have been 90 or 91. I honestly had forgotten about the Bowl Coalition being in place before the BCS.

  4. Heehee, wish I could Chuckles. I dont trust our broker very much. He keeps saying, yeah its almost done...my wife keeps calling in subs at school and it never happens.

However, the builder's rep told us that the Title company was responsible for the survey, this is true right? Now, even if it is on them, I wouldnt put it past my broker that he didnt give them what they needed to start the survey fast enough.

I wish I was more familiar with the process. Would it be bad for me to call the Title company?

Customers call the title company all the time, just don't be grumpy with them and usually they will help you gladly. We don't like crabby customers who try to put the blame on us. The appraisal comes from a seperate company. It is possible that your title company also does appraisals, most don't from my experience. I doubt it is the title companies fault. My theory would be the appraiser hasn't returned it to the Broker yet(as a title company you get the appraisal from the broker) and that could be because the broker forgot to order it on time, they forget to order stuff all the time. However it is possible that the title company is clearing something up on the appraisal.

  5. We bought in a different area, but the same builder/house. Were supposed to close today, oh wait, we were suppused to close YESTERDAY too, but the title company is late getting their survey back.

Man, this has been a REALLY stressful experience! I cant wait until its all done...

I work at a title company and it isn't ever our fault if the survey isn't back on time :P be nice to your title company they are the ones that everyone blames for everything yet it is rarely our fault :P If anything it is most likely your Broker's fault. All broker's are lying evil slimey creatures and will do whatever it takes to get their loan closed so that they get their money. On the flip side the title company has to make sure the Broker doesn't get away with anything illegal because if they do it is our donkey on the line. If you want to close it in IL I will do the closing for you for free :P I have lots of experience.

  6. If non Christians are going to complain and throw a fit that creationism shouldn't be taught in school then I think those who believe in creation have every right to not want evolution to be taught in school. Plain and simple that is equality, either show both sides or show neither and I think in today's society it would be better for them to show neither. As far as the whole macro vs micro evolution, the way I was taught in High School was that we evolved from a single cell organism over millions of years. There is no way you will ever convince me of this as I already stated, how long will you shake my magical bag full of 747 parts before you get a working plane. As far as people adapting to their environment well I don't necessarily consider that evolution as much as I consider that adapting. I don't think evolution as a theory for where humans and all life came from belongs in schools anymore than teaching that God created people belongs they are in the same ballpark.

  7. is the track of human bones through different periods with various shapes and such, not enough? how about our useless organ, the product of evolution. how about the height increase over the last 2000 years.

plus, to think that we are unique as a species and not prone to evolution whereas all other animals are is pretty narrowminded. why would all other species evolve and we not? the same principals of evolution can be applied..

I wasn't aware that there was proof of anything evolving. When I said prove that we evolved I didn't mean we as in humans I meant we as in this planet and everything on it.

If there is proof of evolution all around then why is it still only a theory?

  8. i'm well aware of that experiment and the one like it in kansas state. but that is to say that we understand completely all forces in the universe, and we dont. much less that we have control over them. thats like me saying, prove god exsists. it doesn't work. you have to examine the rest of the arguments. how much proof are you able to offer about the exsistence of god and the fact that he created us in the wink of an eye as opposed to us gradually evolving over time.

    prove that we evolved

  9. We don't need a playoff system, this system works. It has worked for years now and will continue to work. Upsets happen, Im feeling that by the end of the regular season, there will only be 1 or 2 undefeated teams, if not any.

USC could lose to Notre Dame [15%]

Oklahoma could lose to Nebraska or in the Big 12 championship [20%]

Auburn could lose to Georgia or SEC Championship [70%]

Wisconson could lose to Iowa [30%]

Utah could lose to either teams you never know [1%]

    Boise State won't lose [5%]

There are still a lot of weeks of football left.

It has worked for years? The BCS championship system has only been in place what 6 or 7 years now? If that. Prior to that it was all coach/AP polls. There have been plenty of times when there has been controversy and debate over the system, a system in which you have to earn your championship in a playoff type manner leaves no questions.

  10. The parts of physics and chemistry that deal with theories is when you start getting into the more advanced sciences and those aren't taught in high school. I took Phsyics, Chemistry, Biology, AP Chem, AP Physics and AP Bio in high school, yes I took 6 years of science in 4 years, I am a nerd :P the only theories I was ever taught in any of those classes was Evolution. They taught a lot about the scientific method of coming up with theories and testing them but none of the other theories were taught as if they were fact like Evolution was. Now in higher lvl science classes in college things can and do start to change however that is no longer public free education.

  11. What parts of Phsyics are theories? I took 2 years of physics in high school and 2 semesters of highly advanced physics in college and I don't remember 1 thing that wasn't fact. Physics is completely factual and based upon the laws of nature in a physical sense, hence the name physics.

Chemistry? I don't remember many theories in chemistry either. Sure there were a few but we did a lot of hard facts and experiments. The basics of the chemistry classes I took(regular and AP Chemistry in high school) was to learn the facts and nature of things and then experiment and come up with a theory and then attempt to prove or disprove said theory. They weren't teaching any theories, they were more teaching the method of coming up with a theory and none of the theories were ever anything that couldn't be easily proven or disproven like Evolution which is such a complex thing that really has no true way of proving it.

What I got out of science classes wasn't that they were teaching me theories rather they were teaching me how to devise a theory and then test that theory to prove or disprove it. They weren't teaching any theories as fact and I don't think they should. Teaching the scientific method of coming up with a theory, testing it and attempting to prove or disprove a theory is one thing but teaching something like Evolution is completely different in my mind.

  12. what point are you trying to prove by these number?

    that blue states hate charoity?

I dunno ask ZD, I wasn't making any point just crunching numbers, I am a number guy, I love math, I work with numbers all day at work and I love statistics, I could rattle off a million different statistics about football, baseball and basketball(the only 3 sports I follow :P). I wasn't making any point.

  14. little confused on what exactly that is...is it how much money people give to charioty?

Yes though I personally don't like the way they did things so I opened up their excel file and calculated it not only by a rank but by percent, then the numbers turn out slightly differen.

No idea how this is going to turn out :P

  15. I agree chuck. I hate it too. I wish OU and WI could play and then Auburn and USC and then have the championship out of that. WHY CANT WE DO THAT!?!?! :(  It would make for two extra GREAT games this year :(

That would be so good, I would prefer an 8 team playoff system but a 4 team playoff system would be better than what we currently have. I mean they could have the playoffs in mid-late december when the other bowl games go on now so that the national championship could still take place on January 4th. Also the computer systems are pretty weak imo. They take too much into account the offense of a team and not enough on the defense. Wisconsin doesn't have a powerful offense, they have a mediocre offense that is really coming together here at the end of the season. I believe they have enough offense to keep them in the game with anyone because their defense is good enough to severly hamper any offense in the league. Such a shame we may never know =\

  16. lol relax...i agree that he shouldnt be proscuted...i dont hate him becuz of his drug addiction...i hate him bcuz people refuse to see how hypocritical he is

I don't care why you hate him, don't downplay the use and addiction to truely illegal drugs comparing it to that of prescription drugs. My own dad has almost overdosed on heroin twice in my life, as young as when I was 7 I witnessed my parents shoot up drugs before my own eyes. They aren't even in the same ballpark, the effects they have on your body and mind aren't even remotely close and they aren't even close on the scale of illegalness. So seriously stop trying to compare the two and start making some real posts on the subject instead of wasting everyone's time and tinkleing me off.

  17. although i have seen evidence trying to debunk evolution i have yet to see any credible evidence that creationism is true

evolution should be kept in schools and world religions should be taught (it was in my school...we could elect to take it as a history class)

Then evolution should an elective. I shouldn't have been forced to learn about it as if it were fact my Freshman year in High School. I feel the same about that as I do about Christianity. It doesn't really have a place in today's schools being taught in a public school. It just doesn't belong.

  18. Hey mack why dont you stfu and make a logical arguement instead of spewing your BS. You are really starting to tinkle me off. Drug abuse and addictions happen to be something very close to me and you are obviously completely ignorant about them so kindly stfu.

  19. Im at work but I will dig around for some during the day and hopefully post some later. I personally don't think anything that isn't fact should be taught as fact. Back in the day when I took high school biology Evolution was taught as if it were a fact and I was appalled. Where was my freedom of religion there? I was being forced to be taught and take tests, write papers, etc... on something that completely contradicted what I believe.

  20. heh. break the law and you get arrested, yes..but they didn't get arrested. they got held. without reason for days. not allowed to use the phone. that is illegal and a violation of our rights as citizens. and yes, they were held in less that humane conditions in a warehouse on the docks of ny. i'm surprised you didn't hear about this, it was all over the place when it happened.

I am very curious about this, I have heard nothing of it and you have provided no evidence to show that it is true. I am interested in a completely unbiased way, I don't particularly care for the Patriot Act myself I think it gives too much power to the government and does take away some of the rights of the people. I do think they have good intentions behind it though just think it is a bit much.

  21. Ive seen just as much scientific data to debunk evolution as I have seen to support it so I don't figure how you say it has strong backing and lots of evidence to support it. I think its a bunch of hoopla myself.

If you have all the pieces for a 747 jet and you put them in a giant bag and shake that bag with some unlimited power supply how long is it going to be until the pieces fall together into a 747 jet? The answer is of course no and the human body is infinitly more complicated than any jet.

  22. and im sorry but the new blue country would regin supreme (in that equality region of government)

Where would your blue country get its food? The red part of the country has everything that they need to survive whereas the Blue part is all highly populated metropolitan areas. You will be importing your food at exorbitant rates from the red part of the country and go into debt because you won't be self sufficient as a country.
