Yeah, I kinda figgered, but "kid" still seemed appropriate

Little Feat...true, great band. Might have to queue up a little Rad Gumbo.

Yep, my roommate (no comments from you Dweez ) says he is having a lot of problems in CS with the new ATI drivers.

I have Spiral Wrap (similar to what Swoop was talking about earlier. It is UV reactive (not gonna find that at Radio Shack) and I got it from caseetc.com They have since been purchased by directron.com, but the spiral wrap can still be purchased here. If you have any other case modding questions, feel free to ask. I did all the cutting, etc... to mine, and some others. BTW, that is my case in the first link.

B4 you scrap the 9700, lemme tell you that I just had my GeForce4 Ti4600 go belly up on me. No particular reason, just went out after a restart. I am opting for a 9700 pro. I'll let you know if I see any noticeable difference.

Talent
in What's Up?
One of the most unique voices albeit by a group, is Ladysmith Black Mambazo. I have listened to them for years, and I am glad they have risen above Paul Simon's backup band to doing lifesavers commercials. Seriously, they are a great group carrying on traditional African singing styles.
Sublime - they just had a knack (nack? I'll defer) for making songs that were incredible.
Bob Marley - One of the most talented human beings that ever lived.
Bob Dylan - Come on, it's Bob Dylan
Some more - Lou Reed, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Jimi, the Ramones - all pioneers, all extremely talented.
Rage (I despise audioslave, but I don't want to start an argument so I'll leave it there) and Pantera, for being hard when hard stopped being "cool."
I'm sure I'll kick myself for leaving a lot of people out, but that's my list for now.

I listened to them a long time ago, couldn't get into them. Thanks for posting, I'll give them another listen.

I wrestled, played football, baseball, a little hockey when I was young, and was also in the band. I will definitely have to post a football pic next to a pic of me today. It's such a huge difference it makes me chuckle just thinking about it.

Like Dweez said, I haven't played here enough (not at all actually, fried vid card) to really comment on anyone personally, but it seems like this kid hoogz could have handled this in a much less defensive/third grade way. I have found a lot of the msg board attitude pretty hard core myself, but it's probably because I haven't seen such blatant disrespect for people in a while. Anyway, once I get this video card fixed, I'll get into the community a lot more, and I hope I get to play with some of the guys I have talked to already (with my whopping 10 posts!). I am sure that this guy isn't a representative sample of the kind of peeps that populate this server so I doubt it will scare any of us away

Well, the last concert I went to was Pantera, and I really dig that style of music and the scene. I tend, however, to use music to enhance some mood I am in, so I usually pick the type of music depending on the situation I plan to be in. In my playlist right now: Primus.

As far as the quality goes, I always go for 128-kbps when I "back up" a CD. I am running Dual 120 Gig drives, so space is not a problem, but 128kbps provides excellent quality, IMHO.

My MUSIC folder properties :
28.4 GB
8,079 files
Full Albums folder properties:
21.3 GB
6,118 files
472 folders (Each album is in its own folder)
Range from Classic Rock to Hip Hop to Hard Core Metal. I love music, and listen to just about anything. Not a big fan of the country music, but I try to judge songs rather than genres.
