fatty, i realized that the server we had through mammoth games was through server beach, and i had a dedicated server for my webpages and such. so i said hmmm, we can combine these and run not only a 1.6 server but source and anything else we want. so i started renting a server from server beach and we have pretty good pings and i got an athlon xp 3000 with gig of ram and 2x80 gig hdd's so now we run multiple severs and all is good

hey guys, this probably is not in the correct forum, but i'm doing it anyway.

i dont really wanna sponsor so much, but if one is needed i can bring an athlon xp 2500 1.5 gigs of ram running fedora core 2 with cs 1.6, cs source, and hl2dm, and dod source if its out in any combination we need that the thing can handle. on top of that i thought it would be cool to keep track of stats for the whole thing and i can do that and compile them and host them or what-not. just let me know please.

hey guys, not trying to take away from anything gc, but i noticed that these servers are mutha frickin popular for the moment, so i wanted to let anyone know that IF the GC deathmatch server at 66.150.107.96:27015 is full, then anyone is welcome to check out the VI servers at vi4life.com:27017, :27018, and :27019.

each of these is running both the original maps, plus a custom one named crosffire. i think it's a remake of an old one, but im not sure.

p.s. hey fatty, if this tinklees you off, just let me know i will take it off, just wanting to share the load.

also, fatty, if you want a custom map i have crossfire which is the only one that worked, you can get it here

check out the vi site, lots of which is done in flash, more specifically the intro. i do/did all of the website stuff for us vi. also check out my website at www.viwebworks.com which is done entirely in flash. it has some examples of flash work i did when i was first learning.

lemme know and please keep me posted of updates either in the vi forum or at abe@viwebworks.com if you can. i'll try and keep checking here too though.

i have no router, just connected straight to the cable modem. my computer acts as router for my internal network

do i need to redirect/route it? and if i do, how.

hey everybody wassup? i have a quick question here about ftp'ing. i am trying to set up an ftp server. my setup is thus: i have a computer that is connected directly to the internet via a cable modem, and it is this one that i'm trying to use as a server. i also have broderbund's zone alarm as firewall. i have freed ports 20 and 21 both tcp and udp for incoming and outgoing, but i still cannot connect to it from a seperate computer. if anyone has some input/suggestion for how to make this work i'd be much obliged.

Great news for me. Well I peiced together the parts of my old 4600 useing a heatsink from a diff card and what not...and they took it back. I was like NO WAY I'M GETTING MY CARD BACK....well not exzatly as it turns out newegg no longer has any more of the 4600. So they are going to refund my 178 bucks here in the next 3 days. So now I really am in the market for a new card OCsystem has some really good deals on the newer ati cards.

Now I might be able to add a little bit to that 178 but not a huge amount. So do I go for a nice 9500 pro or should i try to wait awhile and save up for a 9700 pro? Oh ya and if anyone knows anyware cheaper to get these cards let me know

oh yeah, forgot to mention levels of pain.

back hurts, neck fricking hurts, wrist hurts pretty bad too, arms and legs are fine, didnt even hurt at all on the inside of my ankle.

my tattoo artist summed it up best when he said that getting one feels like scratching sunburn and it healing feels like sunburn healing.

i say go for it. i have just reached the double digits with mine.

where to start...

on my right inside ankle i have a small penguin, on my left leg i have a celtic knot with a bible verse in it, right leg i have a blue fish, left hand i have a fish with a cross in it, right wrist i have a cross with a crown of thorns on it, left arm i have another celtic knot with another verse on it, right arm i have a celtic design going all the way around my arm, neck i have a sun with a small celtic design, on the right side of my back i have rather large dragon with metal shiny armor and a guy in armor standing over him having just slain him in the name of the lord and under that is the bible verse romans 16:20 which says the god of peace will soon crush satan underneath your feet, and lastly, i have on the left side of my back a lion, aslo rather large, with a ghost type dove flying above it, the verse behind that one talks about god holding the keys to death and hell, and the keys are dangling from the lions mouth.

hope that helps. my suggestion has always been to get something that you are 100% sure will be around, or you'll want to remeber, or something like that when you are old and gray. anyway, laterz. kemo sabe

well my worry is how to cut a hole in the plex for a fan...I mean cuting a perfect circle....sound pretty tough
