  1. That pic owned my 56k! I can't wait to play some volleyball, as long as I don't follow in my father's footsteps. He's broken his ankle separate times and all three involved volleyball and alcohol!

  2. I think the batch of homebrew that I have fermenting should be the official FF drink, even though most people won't like it. The style is Imperial IPA (India Pale Ale). Right now it's in its second week of secondary fermentation, and it's already around 9% abv. I'm hoping it makes it up to at least 10% abv. It's fermenting on one ounce of columbus hops (very bitter) and should come out at around 110 IBUs (IBU stands for International Bitterness Units, anything over about 45 IBU is noticeably bitter in taste). I'll be bringing the entire 5 gallon batch to fragfest (about 2 cases of beer), so anyone who wants (or dares) to try it is welcome.

  3. /reminds Sheep to bring some Hair of the Dog's Adam to FragFest  :D

True, I'll try to find some. Dweez, I don't know if I'd buy a whole case. It's way to strong to be a really drinkable beer. The flavors are outstanding though. I'm bringing stuff to fragfest that's fairly low in alcohol (5-6%) and easy drinking (IPAs, pale ale, hefeweizen).

Dweez, swoop owes me ~$25 for a bet and shipping, so could you pick me up one of these at vintage cellar? http://www.vintagecellar.com/Merchant2/mer...ct_Code=19602_1

It's called DeuS, and it's the only beer in the world that is brewed then shipped to the champaigne region of france to go through the champaigne process (storing upsidedown then chopping off the neck of the bottle to remove the yeast, etc.). That's why it's $27 a bottle. I hope it's good. Here's some reviews of it, and you can see what the bottle looks like: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/rate_results/202/7661/

I'm thinking of brewing another IPA to bring to fragfest. It'll be just like my first batch, which turned out great, but I'll be using a better more flavorful yeast. I hope you all like lots of hops!!!

  4. I went to Germany in 1997 and I found some Crystal Pepsi in a small grocery store in Freiburg (sp?). This was years after it was taken off shelves in the US. I was so happy. I wish I would have bought more than a 12 pack!
