    I just looked at my of my geekiest kids and had a quick conversation between classes.

     

    Fatty: "I need you to be prepared with as much cobblestone as you can, I'm making a castle."

    Soccerstud: "We can make the wall 4 blocks wide."

    Fatty: "You're limiting yourself. I said big. The walls on the inner keep will be no less than 8 wide and you'll see it from space without zooming."

    Soccerstud: "I'm gonna need a couple cobblestone generators."

    Fatty: "Yes.....yes you will....."

    We should try FTB sometime, cause man, mods have some crazy awesome stuff.

    I'd like this to happen too, we'll get a planning crew together to decide ASAP if we're going to do this.

    Recommend me a new headset

    I also have the Logitech g930s, they are very comfy and I do like having a wireless headset. If you want more flexibility to buy any kind of headset, and not worry about discomfort, you could just have those things surgically removed. Not sayin' that's the option I'd go for, but there it is.

    • The PSU you have there has nice features, I just wonder sometimes who actually is making those Rosewill components?
    • Some weird reviews about the software that comes with that Bluray burner. Do you plan to use it alot for burning, or just to read Blurays?
    • Also, the cooling fan that comes with that memory looks like a nice paperweight. :happy:

    Other than that, I like the rest. Are you planning to buy two of those monitors? If you have desk space for two, I'd recommend doing that--it's nice.

    Hmm, would be cool to get bonus points for ending someone's killstreak, so to speak. Would mean incapacitating a survivor that's playing well (certain # kills/certain amount of time), you can figure out how to code that one..

     

    'Playing on the GC Server'- Welcome and heres an achievement with no points. Also read the rules.

    'Paid Membership'- Thought you'd get an achievement? Noooope. (Still no points).

    I approve. Meaningless achievements still seem to make people happy :-)

    suggestion for a new infected buy option

    Instead of having this as a menu item, you could just have the respawn time decrease gradually as the round time increases. Knock 1 second off the respawn time for every 5 minutes of round time... or somethin' like that. Might be an interesting variant, to motivate/punish the survivors. :icon20:

    Battlefield 4

    I wonder--will there be much interest in having a private bf4 server? If the interest exists, and someone willing to lead the server, we could try it out. If it's moderately successful, a player base can grow.

    Server notes - current game version = 1.7.2

    Due to some update that came through NFo, the server was repeatedly crashing. Seems to be running out of memory, but I still have to do some research on which plugins need to be fixed.

     

    At this moment, the server is running the most up to date game version without any bukkit plugins, which is 1.7.2. I assure you this is a temporary measure--the map we had will be back, no worries. Might be a week or so till I have time, since I'm traveling Fri-Sun.

    Jockey Buff?

    I would welcome anything that can add more fun to the game that doesn't add confusion or unwanted complexity--because you're right, we like to keep it vanilla.

     

    If jockeys are really such a bad option compared to other SI, you could increase the points gained/amount of time, but as it is right now a perfect jockey (incaps a suvivor from 100hp) gains around 40 pts? It's a lot.
