  1. I have been playing with a Wizard now. I am a level 60 +3. I have DPS of 33,000. I really like the wizard the best.

I have about 60% reduction on all elements. I have bought the weapons and armor for the most part because I cant seems to get goodies. I also have a 65% chance on finding rare items. I usually have the best DPS and best armor with the public guys I play with in act I and act II. I die the least etc, but lately has been bad.

I am trying to get to the higher acts in Inferno to get the better goodies, But the last two runs in act II have cost me well over 240K in repairs.

I would like to know what I can do to make my Wizard more resilient (sp?). The game can be fun at times when lots of good players play, but I am not making much money on the magic items, and I have only picked up less than a handfull of rare items which were not worth anything.

    Regards

  2. When ever I pounce Lookback for 30Pts, (Yes, the laws of the game are different for me). I chuckle or use my evil laugh to annoy him!! He then proceeds to slaps me!

Just wanted to say, thanks Lookback. Keep the smacks coming. I love you!! Many hearts. BWAHHAAAAA. LOL

By the way, lets keep the fun in the server. Lookback is a new admin, stop witching. Biggs, should play more and so should Jackie.

Lets keep the Session sound board as well!!!!

  3. So many things I want to say. This server is fun, but many people are taking the fun away from it. Too many rules dont make the server better. We can all understand certain rules that need to be upheld, but certain things are for fun. For example, when Jackie is a car or wears a car hat. That is for fun. No one complains. When Talpa challenge is given to certain people. That is also for fun. In term of sessions sound board..... Honestly, I love it. Its one of the best things on the server. Only one person does it, and its funny and in good taste. Never have I seen Session tinkle off anyone with it except for one member. 1 member does not represent the entire community.

I would prefer if session is the only person who is allowed to play the sound board.

  4. Thats because AV and all software sold is a reactive approach with a database to tell it what to do. I am a 18 Year IT Engineer for a fortune 10 company (Retired since 2005). I have developed over 100 million dollars annual in software security for my old firm. I have written articles in information week and I have seen the Russians, Chinese, Koreans and every country on the planet try to hack us over and over. I also worked in DC from 1995-1998 as a systems analyst for the govt (that is most I can say) and worked on things like virus issues. All viruses are detectable! Simplest way to explain it is they all create processes and threads in any OS.

Its bad admins or bad builds that allow amateur hackers to get in. Schools are the worst as everyone at a school is learning and has no clue.

I can tell you, the guy complaining about getting hacked probably has big issues with the computer or a very bad friend.

  5. Hey, When playing with others, I realize my Monk is stronger than all the other players. I dont have any special armor etc. I have two swords and no shield. I rarely die and I kill everything faster than others. I just don get it. I am using a lot of resist with my Witch Doctor. But I feel his damage is not to par.

  6. I find that the Monk that I am playing now is easier to use, has more damage power and is stronger than my Witch doctor that had the same stats. Anyone else experience something like that?

At lvl 30, My monk will destroy my level 30 witch doctor. Kind of sad, since my witch doctor at level 56 now is pretty stout in terms of armor etc.

  7. Please realize that all the regulars were new to the server at some point. I started playing on our server having less than 5 hrs experience playing l4d2, and it was brutal. I wouldn't reccommend it, but at least I was equipped with a microphone, and was checking the forums for information as well. If we just keep in mind that we've all been there, and try to help the new players when possible, it will help everyone out; your team, the server, the community.

I will think on how we might be able to implement an in-game guide for noobs, which is easy to use/understand, and won't slow down play. Considering that people get vote-kicked if they join and stand still for ~15 seconds... I don't think this would be an easy task. Anyways, I'll spend some time meditating on it. :-)

Biggs, You have a brain. Others, I question.

  8. I was told last night I was stacking. I got really tinkled, since that was not the case. I havnt played with dryfire in a while, and wanted to play with him. It's different when someone says it as a joke, and then when someone says it to make up stuff. To all who heard me curse last night, sorry. I dont like being called a stacker, expecially when I am 95% always on the loosing team.

On that note, the server is much much better. I actually love how the teams get managed now.

What I think is stupid is when people call a vote scramble 1 round into the game. That is annoying.

Can we have an automatic vote to skip the last campaign on a server with a 1600 pt swing?
