  1. Or just use the same variable when it comes to spawning in...if you can't spawn in you can't buy a witch (assuming the witch spawns where you're standing). But if you are standing somewhere and you can spawn, then you can buy a witch where you're standing.

  2. I would recommend these:

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/a50-wireless-headset-8212-astro-edition/6237868.p?id=1218723188404&skuId=6237868&st=categoryid$pcmcat230800050019&cp=1&lp=1

I sold some to another employee and I had him open the box to try them on. I'll tell you one thing, they are very comfortable and the ear pieces are huge! My ears are big, and wearing these things I didn't even feel them on my ears.

I use the Logitech G930s...had them for a couple years now. Back then they were $200, but the price has been reduced since then to $105 on Newegg. These also fit over my ears quite well with no pain whatsoever.

Back in the day my old over the ear headset use to hurt my ears after using them for about 3 hours.

  3. Clearly some people on this server have an issue with the fashion you're using hunters in and is being debated maturely (minus the putdowns I'm getting from certain people). I see no reason why this topic should be closed till we get an answer from someone like Fatty since even some board members are in disagreement.

  4. So I understand that in no way is this cheating, but I still believe its an exploit. Frankly, I don't feel like playing on the server if we are starting to promote this type of play-style on the server. Remember that little thread posted a while back about stuff in L4D2 that are all "exploits" (http://gamrs.co/forums/index.php?/topic/42918-server-exploits/)...like the wall climbing for survivors, or Smoker/hunter combos that result in insta-kill if performed right? IMO a hunter wall-pouncing from invisible boundaries of the map from 1000 feet in the air is just as exploitative as a survivor finding his way to the top of a staircase on the side of a building because they found small ledges to jump from.

I personally have not tried using any of those survivor exploits, but some of them are bannable if you try them, and some of them are very easy to perform, like the one where you can get on top of the train in No Mercy 2nd map. Then again some of them are very difficult to perform, but also bannable. Yet we will allow Hunters to pounce us from 1000 feet away? I know Jackie tends to concentrate more on survivor exploits than infected ones, but I think this should go on the list of infected exploits that go above and beyond the normal scope of play on this server.

As of right now, I am refusing to play while MurderinClony is on the server as I see it as an unfair advantage for his team.

  5. Neutral Feedback: I noticed if you use an M60, the !ammo cost is like 8 or 9 points. Was that intended? If that's the case and it was intended, then I would recommend that the ammo pile disappear the moment someone with a grenade launcher or an M60 uses it. And if the ammo has already been used by others with smaller weapons, then the users of the M60 or grenade launcher cannot use the ammo pile.

Edit: Also for finales, would there still be an ammo pile or no? I would recommend that we at least keep that ammo pile for the finales.

  6. I'm headed out to Mill Avenue (the line of bars next to ASU) Halloween night, but I can't do the batman costume because I can't wear a mask and drink. So, I have to go as Peter Venkman for now. Here's me as a ghostbuster last year:

  7. I was Batman last Saturday night. Needless today I got a lot of attention for a costume I made a last minute decision on (2 hours before the party). I was going to go as an undead mormon bicycle dude, but I decided it was too much work to get it right, and my friends who were throwing the party had already decided they were doing that costume as well (w/o the undead part). So when I went shopping for costumes, I found this really good Batman mask. Then as I started looking around for other costumes, I saw a really cheap and good Batman full suit. Then I saw the rental capes, and I just went with it.

The key part to this costume to make it look as good as possible was the black makeup around my eyes. I can also do the Bale voice pretty good too. Even my best friend (who thought I was going as the undead mormon) had no clue who I was when I came up to him and started talking to him in the batman voice. Needless to say I had an amazing night on Saturday.

  8. Ya that may have been a possibility...I wasn't paying attention much until my infected died in the office, and when I went back to ghost mode, there was smile hiding in the saferoom.

But I still think smile should have gone back as he was playing good last night, and their team was killing ours in points.

  9.

My question for you, though, is why is rushing deemed unacceptable? I agree that it's unacceptable, but I believe it's unacceptable because it undermines teamwork and ultimately hurts your chances of success.. People holding spitters is bad for the same, exact, reasons.

I agree with Leon. Rushing is bannable because you're not playing as a team, it's more of a "To each his own" mentality if people start rushing without looking behind. Therefore admins deem it a bannable offense. Here are the reasons listed out as to why it's bannable:

    - It does not promote teamwork, instead it promotes a negative outlook on teamwork.

    - Most rushers die because they are alone

    - The whole team is affected negatively as the ones in back get less help, not to mention after the rushers die.

    - The more people rush, the more others will follow suit and deem it "ok" to do.

    - Gives infected a chance to earn lots of points if the rushers get killed.

    - Causes an unbalanced game

Now holding spitters could also be looked at the same way. Most of us who play often, even some of the newer people know that if you spit, you should suicide so other players can use them. This is called teamwork, and is beneficial for the whole team in general. If someone holds a spitter at a crucial moment of the game, it can affect the entire team. Here are some reasons why holding spitters is bad:

    - Other teammates cannot use spitters unless purchased

    - Promotes "individualism" instead of teamwork to some of the new players

    - Another teammate looking to use spitter will constantly be cycling infected until a spitter is ready, thereby reducing his overall chance to get points and immobilize survivors

    - Entire team can lose a round if the main choke point of a game is surpassed by survivors because spitters are being held.

    - Can cause an unbalanced game

Now after all of that, why can't holding spitters be deemed a bannable offense? Even if the ban is for 15 minutes it's better than not doing anything at all and letting the player(s) hold spitters all game long.

When I first played on this server (2012), I wasn't aware of the rules or customs of this server. How I learned was when I got kicked for doing certain things, one of them being holding a spitter. Times have changed and we are no longer allowed to kick people for that, but it worked. Once I knew that was a thing we shouldn't be doing, then I myself learned to "spit and die". How else are we going to teach new players the same customs that we follow? With all the chaos going on during matches, most people don't read the chat or listen to what people are saying unless a consequence occurs (like a kick or ban).
