Looked up Logitec's mice. this one looked like a really nice one. Don't really know if all the super performance stuff would actually help or not.

I live in Sarasota (hour south of tampa) and the storm was much milder than expected here. Everyone also borded up their windows with steel for what seemed like a normal rainy day.

About a month ago I got a laptop with centrino with pretty much the same specs as yours

You should have gotten pentium-m/centrino, gives it twice as much or more battery life and makes it alot thiner and lighter but if mobility isn't a big thing for you (don't know why you would get a laptop if it wasn't) then it doesn't matter.
