well...for my ping...it was just my dsl service upgraded me for free..from like 384 download and 128 upload..(i wasn't even getting half of those i ran speed tests and was getting 150/64 god awful) they upgraded it to 896\256! big help o ya big time all for free too for my mic i kinda stumbled across the fix...i was just messin around /w some of the windows config. and like i have to keep the little volume contorl loaded up while i play and i have to alt\tab and select micropohone or seomthin on the controls...just got lucky pretty much o well thanx again guys

my ping was 80-150...now a consitent 40-45...so happy...i'm on spring break..was goin crappy i gues sit's not all so bad... :-D

all the problems tosh had...went away fixed them all thanx alot guys...mic works connectoin is good...wow...life is great...thanx again

okay another problem occured i went all slap happy and d\l the fusion pack for cs.....i backed up the files...but wrong FOLDER..ithink? i dunno which folder cuz of the new steam stuff i did thru c:/sierra/halflife/cstrike but..some crap occured i tried to join tropolis..and it says that mine p_galil.mdl file is no consistent....so since i have Cstrike on my other comp i decided to send tht file over and everything will be okay! errr dont' know where to find that file? i search for it and it can't find it! what's goin on please help thanx again guys lifesavers all of yoU!

tried all of that i used voice loop back to see if it happends and it does...and yes someimtes CS like resets my settings...like it always turns off my "switch the more powerful weapon" setting. it turns it off! i dunno wut's wrong /w it...ya the mic boost does it to but no matter what i do it still picks up on stuff and goes heywire...appreciate the help...any other ideas would be nice well i do have some good news i guess...my DSL was updated my ping dropped from 100 down to 40! should i change any of my rate/cl_cmdrate/cl_updaterate at all? i have it set at 25000/101/101? thanx alot guys really appreciate it!

okie dokie 2 part topic....starting with the problem. I've always played CS on this computer and always usually used a mic. always werked perfectly. I had an old mic..and i tried it out and when i talk in game...like if i hold on to the voice comm. button if i say like "hi" it'll keep sayin "HI HI HI HI HIH I HI" and gets louder and louder...like it's really messed up...i got the new mic and it still problem is still there. I have the mic on my other comp right now and it werx perfectly for CS. I've tested hardware and everything and it works fine...when i test mic in steam it'll do the same thing it'll echo like crazy and it picks up on every little sound...like say i want to say something at the start of the round and ur buying items...it'll pick up on the sounds of the items being eipped and echo it like crazy! the weird thing is it echoes the stuff w/o a mic plugged in....either my computer is possesed...or my sound card is messed up...but all my sounds work perfectly....any ideas? anything would be nice ...and for my question.......since Condistion zero is out are ya'll goin to switch over to that and dtich the old cs? just wonderin so i know if i have to dish out some dogh thanx again guys! byye

Machinehead! wutup man hvan't talked to u in ages...anyways..ewll i'm @ home senior highschool grad. few monthes...4 computers networked this one and the one to the right of me are ethernet and 2 other are in diff. rooms...soooo...ya i'll hve to check the router/lines everythign do the works...although i've been keepin a steady 90-150 ping...which is still god awful for dsl but it's playable taking into consideratoin that i played on 56k for nearly 2 years...so it's okay i guess hopefully things will get better thanx for all the help...!

little sidenote.....we have DSL obvoiusly...well it' snot obvous cuz i get ping worse then 56k almost....and...we have it networked to 4 computers...i'm guessing that affects it a little? i have 1 thru ethernet and 2 thru wirless..? does that effect me alot or not really..? cuz i rmember when i frst got dsl hooked up to just this one my ping was 40-50...but once we networked..it went down the poop shoot...any help? thanx guys!

just wonderin' if you guys ar gonna have the stat system anymore?? yes/no? always gives me reason to get better....not that i only concentrate on my stats! JW...thanx again

sorry i tried ur first set...it gave me a steady ping of 100-150 really no change..but like it kept stable didn't jump around too much whichi ugess isn't so bad? i'll try these and let u know...BTW...called my dsl server...i get a free upgrade from DOWNLOAD 384(currently) to 1.5mb/s which hopefully is gonna work..cuz currently it says 384 but i get like 192...so if i get half of 1.5mb/s still be good hahaha but unforutnaly upload stays the same at 128 i'd have to pay an extra 15 bucks to get the 384 upload...and 3.0 mb download...do u think the extra download will help at all????? i know gamin is upload..but anything??? even a little...?? let me know thanx again guys really appreicate it..! -=Tosh=-

Howdy, well the last time i played cs i had 56k...pushin 200-250 ping...now i got dsl...worst dsl possible probably...sbcyahoo crap..gotta love parents how dumb they are....anyways i range from 80-300 ping now...like...it's better but sometimes it jumps to worse....i've bene out of it for awhile so does 1.6 still like take into play any console tweaks? rate? cl_cmdrate...? anything like that...if so..can any one help me out alittle please? it'd be appreciated...my DSl is getting like 192 download and 128 upload....still can'te ven belive we're payin 30/month for this but it'll have to do....any help would be appreciated..thank you again -Tosh-

Hey havn't been here in awhile....got the new 1.6 and eveyrthing. I never really learned how to bind my self.....wish i woulda but i am kinda lazy so i woudl like to know if anywone could let me know where i can download a 1.6 binder? it'd be much appreciated...thanx all bye!
