I still wish Quake 2 would run on Windows XP....*sigh*.

I am also one of the original UT players, but never really got into it online because I lacked a cable connection and it was a bit shallow. But with games like Counterstike, which I used to play somewhat extensively, I found that the pace was way too slow and levels always resorted to some sort of camping after one or both teams lost most of their players...it became an exercise on who could "wait it out" the longest. Although UT2K4 isn't perfect by any means (I loathe the leviathan, and people love to "whore it up" with the goliath), I love the fast pace of the game, making camping not worth the effort. The emphasis is placed on movement rather than aim.

But I still miss the original UT sniper rifle...I remember popping off heads from across the map without zooming in...now that is satisfaction!

EDIT: Ok, maybe camping is a problem...there was someone camping with an AVRIL and spider mines at a node for the entire map in arcticstronghold...he wouldn't budge, forcing an overtime game twice.

It also doesn't factor in frags per hour, which I think is the most important stat...

I have the same problem...teamspeak just isnt working any more.

For somer reason, I can't hear anyone's voices when they are using voice chat....I know I can be heard, though...

I have it enabled, so I don't know what is wrong...anybody else having this problem?

Btw, maybe we don't want bots on server now...I know this was discussed in another thread, but with stats and all...

Also, just played a game where I was raped because again, all human team vs. me, another player, and 6 bots. Bots are easy kills normally, but are perfect with the AVRIL, so they kill me often:(

So we are going to cook our opponents instead of shooting them now? This sounds much like the nonleathal microwave guns the miliary was developing for riot control.

Still, this is useless against ninjas. They don't feel pain.

Hey this just happended to me (me and 6 bots vs 7 humans) but I still managed to pull off overtime in the first round...muhahahaha.

Hey y'all. Just wanted to make my presence known, I am sure you have seen me around already, although I had to change my handle a bit to fit the GC tag. I now have an umlaut u instead of a double o at the beginning of my name, and an asset (ß) for the b at the end.

Too much info, I know! I really want to help set up some sort of presence on a ladder system and maybe get some new talent so we can compete!

Although Moore usually dramaticizes the points he is trying to make, they are usually valid. He is somewhat akin to the liberal version of Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reily, or Micheal Savage, skewing facts. But the difference between Moore and the others is that

1. He doesn't try to hide the fact that he has an agenda, or that what he is saying might be one sided. I can't believe the number of times O'Reily has said he is nonpartisan but he is/was a registered Republican (aside from his show being extremely conservative).

2. His movies are incredibly entertaining and funny, which I can't say about O'Reily (who is just a loudmouth arse) or even Rush (who has slightly more personality).

Yes, Moore might have skew the facts, but he is the lone liberal voice in the media who has started playing down to the level that Republicans on both radio and television have been for years.

Coming from a small town in central Wisconsin that is 99% white, I know only two black people, and they are awesome. So, within the scope of my worldview, I think the problem might be a bit overblown. The more you believe in a stereotype, the more self-perpetuating it becomes. I think Cosby is just turning into an angry, senile old fart.
