Not at all.
Just my 2 cents.

Swearing leads to team wounding
Team wounding leads to team killing
Team killing leads to banning
This cycle leads to hurt feelings and loss of players on your servers
This cycle is also not good for the growth of a community, which needs a constant influx of new, postive people to stay alive.
This cycle is what will be happening if the admins had to explain to people over and over and over why they couldnt swear. Plus it wastes everyone's time on the servers because:
1. the admin is busy
a. admin wont catch other problems brewing, (like hackers)
b. admin wont have any fun because they are constantly typing and not playing
2. the explanation radio traffic will disrupt any teamwork oriented traffic
3. other people that might otherwise be playing will be typing trying to help
4. All the positive energy that is constantly generated on the servers will be sucked into one person's rant like a black hole because the normal positive congrats for a nice shot and other things will be lost in all the typing and radio traffic
Sooooo......isnt it so much easier to just nip this whole, big mess in the bud and just do two things, 1. Tell everyone not to swear, and 2. Kick the people who do swear.
Trust me, I've been in DLM for what seems like forever, (translation, since before CS came out), and Mmmm was around back then. I've also seen lots of clans come and go, but you know what? Mmmm has found a way to survive and also found a way so that all involved clans can grow through the Gamer's Coaltiion.
Its very difficult and time consuming to run a good server that you can get people to come to day after day, and have a good group of admins to keep the peace. GC deserves a heap of credit for pulling it off.
You have to also look at the GC servers as not just a server to go and shoot some people on, because that is only 10% of what their servers do. GC servers serve to bring together people who might never meet and make friends of them. GC servers create a tight network of people who will help each other out in real life if needed. GC servers allow an 80 person LAN party at a hotel over 3 days to be a great time and reunion for old and new friends. GC servers allow for parents to feel good about their kids playing games online, knowing that there is parental supervision, team building skills, and posiitive motivation there, not just mindless violence.
In short, GC servers are HOME to many of its players.
If they allow you into their home, is it too much to ask of you to not swear?
I dont think so.

Hiya!
Hi!
Please see Fattys post below.
He will properly instruct you on what we need.
Thanks pal!

Did I say "states of the US of A" only?
I meant to say "states of the US of A and other great countries of the world"
Sorry for the omission.
I corrected my original post.
-
keep up the good work, it reminds me when I have to leave the bar.
(I never believe them when they say last call. Their clocks are never right.)
-
Was wondering how many states in the US of A and other great countries of the world we will be including in our little shindig.
Anyone coming from anywhere other than Ohio?

Holy spam! You just kept thinking away! 3 posts 3 minutes. You must be on to my secret strategy.
We have to decide the value of your sponsorship first. Then you need, on the side, to get with HPD and hash out the details of what you're providing.
After that, we'll work the web into things.
They have plenty of sponsors to start with, I believe he's just scanning the community for any other easy opportunities.
Correct!
Just looking for basic info here, who you are, how we contact you, what company you think would sponsor us,and what they could provide, (if we dont recognize what they do from their name)
Thanks alot for taking time to post here guys!
Server Decisions Must Be Made
in Counter Strike
Just posting to let ya'll know that I'm paying attention.
Whatever you decide is fine with me.
I have noticed lag on midwest #1.
Today I was playing around noon and my ping went from 39 to 91 and I started laggin bad.
Has happened before also.
Thanks
