I think bSmoothFrameRate=False uncaps fps Tek, yeah i play with the game uglied like that so I can shoot faces without having to worry about something pretty catching my eye. Reversing some of the settings (not sure which specifically) will fix your texture issues, told u to backup the ini bacon it.

I read through one of the tweak guides that is like 80 pages of text and 1 page of useless information.. here is some of the useful information for those of us that want to squeeze life out of our crappy computers. This will ugly up your game a bit, but it will make it playable. Following this exactly will give you significant framerate increase.. in the vicinity of 15%. PLEASE backup your ini files before you do this, in case you screw up or don't like what you end up with. Here goes: Go to "My Documents, My Games, Unreal Tournament 3, UTGame, Config" Open "UTEngine.ini" set the following values as listed, you'll have to find these one by one, they aren't in any particular order here.. however you'll notice some of them are in the same sections MotionBlur=False DepthOfField=False Bloom=False QualityBloom=False Trilinear=False StaticDecals=False DynamicDecals=False DynamicLights=False DynamicShadows=False LightEnvironmentShadows=False Distortion=False DropParticleDistortion=False SpeedTreeLeaves=False SpeedTreeFronds=False OnlyStreamInTextures=False LensFlares=False FogVolumes=False FloatingPointRenderTargets=True bSmoothFrameRate=False K, now open up your "UTGame.ini" file and set: bShowDamage=False that removes annoying damage screen flashes

takes like 5 seconds to register another account, just can't change on the fly you gottta log out and back in bb will have a ton of copies left im sure

yeah ours is up, i also have a 8 man closed-circuit DM server up so we can mess around with weapons/maps to get on that one its: open 216.234.199.159:7777 if anyone remembers our normal password to get on temerity back in the day, that's teh admin password for the DM server.. pm me if you don't remember to get on admin you drop the console and type "adminlogin <password>" then you can do stuff like "admin addbots #" or "admin killbots" and I think "adminchangemap" or something similar to bump it to another level just PM me if you crash it and I'll reboot it

Warfare is makin me happy. Way better than expected! nice combination of vehicle/deathmatch, definately feels like onslaught here's a few of my thoughts nightshade: awesome. this thing is amazing for node defense. deployables are schweet and the primary fire at close range melts faces quickly. scavenger: don't fully know how to use it.. but any vehicle that can run into a manta and blow it up is cool by me. rolling over people is very funny, especially when they dont see you coming. viper: freakin fast, nice vehicle. primary fire seems a tad better than the manta in terms of DPS, and you can shoot it at nodes/enemies like a missile which is pretty neet. ---- weaps ---- close range - flak primary is most effective and tears people up, link secondary is also nice medium range (easy to kill/die at this range) - shock combos are fast and best. rockets do a crapload of damage and are great.. minigun primary is great too! flak secondary is tough to get used to but works well if you lower the arc of the shot by shooting "down" more. Bio rifle deals out a crapload of damage loaded up, wouldn't bother spamming the small blobs too much though. long range - shock pri unless you are stationary and camping, then sniper rifle.. aim for the head though, its ez I've noticed when you are at a node and fighting people on foot, if you can't get a height advantage on them, charge at them with flak pri... most people spazz out when you get too close and either miss or shoot themselves the orb is a nice addition to the game.. and don't forget you can also defend a node with the orb by hanging around it while killing of enemies. lex and i were able to dominate the other team with one of us attacking and one hanging at the enemy prime node with the orb

I'm content playing tam/freon for a couple hours a night if ut3 ends up crapping on a crap cracker. I do however miss playing some TWL matches and I'm sure that UT3 will have the playerbase to support a wide range of competition. I really think that this (and the past year) is/has been a layoff period in anticipation of the release.. and we'll start to see a lot more activity very soon. And I personally won't be leaving GC because even if ut3 is horrible and we end up playing internet checkers, I can't think of a better group of dudes to play with. There's a few of us in vent pretty much nightly, and all someone would have to do is join and say "hey, onslaught.. now!" and I'd /quit freon and join ONS as soon as the round ended. It saddens me to think that any one of us would have a "disconnected" feeling from the other members, because we're all about having good positive fun with friends around here. PLUS i'm pretty sure Primus indirectly offered to pay Cannon's dues for the next 27 years. Thanks Primus
