General J August 14, 2004 Share General J Member August 14, 2004 Just thought I would let you all know I am rocking a new system finally! Got all my stuff in on Thursday and put it together Friday night. Didn't take too long to get it all in. Still have to work out a few nit picky things (stupid led lights!) Other than that, it is all good to go! Downloading steam with 1.6 cache as we speak! Ginormous 'thank you' to everyone that helped me on my parts decisions! The computer is super duper quiet with the vid card fan, processor fan, and the 2x80mm fans that came with the case. One question- what is a good temp (system and cpu) to shoot for? rackish August 14, 2004 Share rackish Member August 14, 2004 For idle I would say about 25-30C (depending on room temp and weather outside), and for gaming maybe 45C-50(ditto). I think anything above 70C is really bad? meh, I tried.
TaPe August 15, 2004 Share TaPe Member August 15, 2004 Mine tends to settle around 40C... 60-70+ is bad indeed.
