First they're fighting 'alien' looking monsters. Next they are fighting zombies. The film editing is the worst I've ever seen. At one point of the movie. The main character is talking near a busy street and if you look into the cars, you can see people taking pictures of and pointing at the set while the movie is being filmed. At another point near the end, an asian female character thats supposed to be dead starts to get up before they cut out of the scene. And no... she didn't end up as a zombie.
