Mia's Big Heart

Thought about posting this in the Christian Spirituality and Sharing section, but really wanted a wider audience for this. Mia is the daughter of some very good friends of mine. I've known her mom all her life, and their family is just an extension of my family. Mia was born in February 2011 with very severe heart and health issues. Most children born with these issues live, on average 1-2 weeks, if that long. She was life flighted from Akron to the University of Michigan Medical Center a couple days after she was born, where the leading pediatric heart specialist in the country agreed to take her case. She's been there ever since, and has undergone 2 open heart surgeries in that time.
