  1. I will not be able to attend this year. Bad time of the summer for me. My son's 2nd birthday is the weekend before, and with grad parties for relatives, and a prior scheduled trip out of town for a family event, the only weekend in June we can have his party, is FragFest weekend. :(

Really, realy wanted to attend again this year, but there's just no way to make it happen. :( Also won't be able to wow you all with my 1337 golf skillz since our company is one of the sponsors for another outing the Friday FragFest begins, and there's no way I can get out of work to golf 2 days in a row. :P

May try to stop by Saturday evening after the party, but as of now looks like I'm missing it this year. I know you all will have a great time. :)

    Enjoy!

  2. Planning on attending once again, although need to find out if the wife is planning on using that weekend for our son's second birthday party. That might have to take precedent. Already trying to steer her to the previous weekend. I'll let ya know as soon as we know what's happening.

  3. +1 on the Siberia's M2 suggested. I love mine. Don't use them for the computer anymore, one of the kids pulled them off the desk and stepped on them, but for sound quality and comfort they can't be beat.

Still use them with my mp3 player to "protect" my hearing from the lawnmower though. ;) Can't ruin my hearing on a lawn mower, that would be a shame....

  4. Extra tickets? As in plane tickets or admission tickets? lol. I live close enough to drive there in 4 hours ( or less doing 80-90 mph). So plane tickets aren't required :), and i didn't know there would be admission tickets like to a concert :P I think i could prolly make the trip in 3 and a half hours, last month some friends and I made the 14 hour trip to Orlando Florida only 12 hours flat, hehe.

thumbs up for 8-90 mph speed limits

Who said Nightling was going the speed limit??? :P

Yea, NE Ohio is about 4 hours or so from Cinci, depending on traffic of course. Well, also depending on where in NE Ohio you're traveling to. Hudson, where the hotel is adds maybe another 1/2 hour to 45 min depending on the road destruction situation in the area.

  5. Funny that Farve signed with the Vikings so close to the preseason so he could skip out on training camp.

Completely not a coincidence..... If you were 40 would you want to go through 2-a-days and all the rest of the grind of training camp? ;)

  6. YAY for Mrs. Maverick! My wife's been teaching for 10 years at the same district in NE Ohio, before that she subbed for 3 years after graduation before getting the full time job. Hope she's at a good district where the community supports the schools and the parents are committed to ensuring their children take their edumacation srsly. ;)

  7.

QBs I would rather have than Cutler (in no particular order):

    1.) Tom Brady

    2.) Peyton Manning

    3.) Eli Manning

    4.) Drew Brees

    5.) Donovan McNabb

    6.) Aaron Rodgers

    7.) Matt Ryan

Can't believe you left out the reining Super Bowl champion Ben Roethlisberger. Brady is a question mark at this point with coming off the knee injury, McNabb has yet to prove he can win the big games and Peyton for all his regular season fireworks is getting much closer to the end of his career than the beginning. Beyond them, yea. Not sure there are that many elite QB out there. Romo? no. Any QB for the Titans? nope. Forget the west, NFC or AFC. Well, Rivers still has the possibility, but I think Brees is better than him. Also, Matt Ryan would need to prove to me that he's not a one season wonder before I'd take him.

The best, and most obvious choice would still have to be Big Ben. :) He just wins, man. :peace:

  8. So nobody has any new pix from FF09? Me=sad. :(

Wolfsblood, don't expect any pictures of yourself to show up, no one could see you behind your gigantic monitor to take your picture. :peace:

I was hoping that the monitor would protect me from headshots, but alas it was no use. :( At least it didn't fall on you. :)

  9. how do you switch it? how many skins are there?

i used the dark black one for the last forums..

Once peeps have created skinz for the program, the admins have to d/l and install them. Then you can select your fav from the dropdown menu at the bottom left corner of the forum page. Right now there are 2 options. IP Board, and IP Board Lo-Fi. :(

  10. Either of you guys find the anniversary edition of Guinness? This year marks the 250th anniversary of St. Arthur's founding of the brewery at St. James Gate and they're selling a slightly different version of the stout. Worth looking for in your local stores.

Yeah, i've seen it, the Giant Eagle near Fatty's house had some out there, but I haven't tried it yet, have you?

I was drinking quite a bit of Guiness, but my belly has paid the price....I needed to switch to a light beer...once I shed a few pounds, i'll allow myself some more Guiness....in moderation of course :)

Actually, I believe Guinness is around 4.5% alc. and only 196 cal/16oz...so that is not much different from a 144 cal/12oz Budweiser...

See? Good tasting, and good for you. Maybe it was all the chicken wings and pizza you had to go with the Guinness. ;)

  11. Actually had no idea they were even working on a new one. I remember playing Wolfenstein on my old Commodore 64 when it was still a 2d version. Or maybe it was the 286? That was a long time ago. Then Wolf3d came out and along with Doom changed the gaming world forever. I remember the demo for WOlf3d being an astounding 500kb! Took nearly an hour to d/l it from the local bbs on the 2400 baud modem I had.

    Good times man. :)

Pretty sure I still have the floppy disk with it somewhere around here. Still have the 286 too......

  12. Op Flashpoint 1 was fantastic. ArmA is also very good, although it will stress systems with low too mid range gfx cards (as do all the really good games) Haven't heard much about Op Flash 2 though.

I had a 6 pack of the anniversary stout. Very good. Somewhere between the Extra stout and the Pub Draught. Not as heavy as the Extra, but without the widget that gives the Pub Draught it's creaminess. Very worthwhile, I'll have to pick up some more next time I'm down at the store.

As for the malt liquor, I gave that up while still in college. *shudder*

  14. It was great seeing all the familiar faces, as well as meeting some new people, even if I couldn't actually see Jibbajabba sitting behind my monitor. ;) Thanks for all the hard work the staff put in organizing this, and anyone else who helped with setup, tear down, and the vital food runs. Hope to see all of you next year, and hope many more join us in 2010. :peace:
