And what aldan was trying to say, (but didn't do very well.....) was to ask for pics of the soon to be born Wolfie II (Wolfie Jr will be close to 1 1/2yr's old at the time) Some of you lucky folks got to meet Wolfie Jr last year at FF, but it's doubtful if either of the kids will make the trip this year.

  2. I voted rock, because most of what I listen would be considered one form or another of rock. Metal, hard rock, prog rock, punk rock, "indie" rock (whatever that really is at any given time), post-punk, alt-rock, etc....

  3. We've got a Canon Lide 30 that we've had for a few years, and it's been great. We paid around $100 when we got it, but I'd imagine that there are likely better ones out now. I'd imagine to get the quality you're seeking, you'll likely need to be in the $100 range, and obviously stick with a trusted major brand. The $19.99 Wal-mart special isn't what you want. ;)

What Bushwack said about the time is true, however. Most of the time will not be spent actually scanning your photos, but cropping them, saving them, or whatnot. The processing speed of most high end scanners is pretty good. Also, make sure your photos are clean, and the glass is clean. That's much easier than trying to edit out lint and dust from your photos. ;)

  4. Hey, Unclean, don't forget about your long lost bro here. I could use some of those GBP's you're getting from the UK Lottery Carpet company folks. :D

Oh, and Lousiest, you don't think the nice folks at the Bank of West Africa would stiff X for posting his email here do you? I think they were talking about not contacting responsible people........ ;)

  5. After the drive last year I was strongly planning on flying in this year... my system at home is busted (the reason I have not been on the server in months) and probably won't purchase another one by this summer. If I did I would consider shipping it (but not flying with it in baggage), my plan was that by renting I would have a system that worked. That is my main concern.

Worst case worst I could make arrangements somehow... obviously if there was a way to provide rentals from someone, I would be all over that. Or perhaps I will use this as an excuse to buy another PC. I will watch for info and may just have to play things by ear.

I think Jackie was hoping for my chaperoning efforts through the airports or as a ride.

Thanks for your efforts on this, I know you guys do alot for the FF event and in no way want to pile more on your plates!

Yeah, hit the nail on the head, Farmer. Even though the drive was brutal, if it came to that to transport computers or whatever again, I'd say we do it again. Mags made the drive so much more tolerable because of all the stuff he was talking about. I made it worse by hardly talking.

Wow...Mags...marry him, he enjoys your fish stories...I mean...we all enjoy your fish stories :ignore:

But what will Duke say? He'll be crushed. :(

  6. Also, Wolfy, Unclean made a GC guild already.

Heh, yeah I knew that. Allanon had suggested setting up a forum on here, and Unclean asked if you guys could use the GO one already on here. I was just making that option available. ;) Nobody else is really using it at this point, but there's some very useful info in there still. Feel free to use it. :) The forum title is The Gathering Order, but if you guys are putting together a GC guild wars forum I won't be upset if you use that instead. :)

  7. So Unclean, Gamers Coalition [GC]? Or The Gamers Coalition [TGC/GC]?

First one. Just created the guild last night, and took a peek at a few of the halls. They seem like fun, but I don't think we'd use them for GvG or anything.

Hey, is there any way for people within a guild to "spar" in a pvp way?

    Don't think there is.

Actually, there is. We used to do it for fun in GO. Forget just how we did it, but if you have 2 parties both in the guild hall, there was a way to "scrim" your guild mates. :) Lots of fun when you're both in the same ts/vent channel, lol.

Ok, I looked around our Gathering Order Guild Wars forum, and didn't see a psw remove option, so here it is: sanctuary Feel free to browse the forum, and post up there. A lot of the topics are old, but some of the info should still be relevant (skills, builds, tactics, etc.) Hopefully this week I'll have my system back to full operation, and can actually stay in game for more than 10 mins at a time. ;)

  8. We have the Gathering Order one already. Maybe we should just use that?

Works for me. I'll see about removing the psw for the forum. There's a lot of useful info already in that forum. I need to re-install windows before I can play online games. Something's borked in a reg key I think. Single player games run fine, online games, and esp. steam games crash the comp. :/

  9. OOoohh, I love my assassin. :) I were good. Just ask Samurai. ;) Heh, the only toon I beat Factions with was my assassin, and when the PUG I was in beat it, it was because I was dealing out the most damage. I also got to be quite good at keeping myself alive w/o relying on monks nearly as much. This sometimes caused problems, as the times I did die, the party was usually wiped out within seconds because the rest of them couldn't do the damage I was, or the interrupts as frequently. Nightfall: :yuck:

I understand why they made the towns "You can't enter here, you haven't completed task x, or are not level y", but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Even though Prophesies had a (somewhat bizarre) storyline, and you were progressed from place to place via the storyline missions, I loved the fact that it felt more free form in that you could literally walk to (almost) every town in the game. The rest of them don't have that freedon, and I blame PvP. Punx would get runs to places like Droks to buy armour that lower lvl characters couldn't hope to penetrate, then hang out in the lower lvl arenas owning the regular folk.

Anyway, still wish I had the time to play with you guys. :( I miss the days where we had 8-10 or more people in our GO teamspeak server, and people helping people run missions, or quests. But mostly I miss the laughter.
