Well that explains why i couldnt do it, I thought you had to fill up the whole square's surface area with them blocks. It got me confused because i was pretty sure that the blocks wouldnt fill up the whole area, but still i laboured on. Now i see the light....

That works in the sense that your parents stop you playing games all night, and you get looked after a lot better and have more time to work due to parents helping with cooking cleaning and laundry etc.

But, you said it takes you an hour to get to school every day?

Living closer, effectively gives you an extra hour an 40 minutes every day that you would normally spend commuting. Think what you could do in this time - study more? get more sleep in the morning instead of waking up early to commute... perhaps these confer more benefits than staying focused at home.

I had to do consider this arguement myself, it was either spend 2-3 hours every day travelling from north london to east london, or just fork out some more money and hopefully get a better chance at completing the degree. I chose staying near university, and i can say it certainly helps with time. However I abuse my position of responsibility and can stay up quite late etc, so its all about who you are.

I'd recommend making most of your meals group meals. You can save a lot of money on food that way, as most of the time the more you buy, the better value for money you are getting. I share most of my meals with my girlfriend and its definitely a lot cheaper than buying food individually for ourselves.

If your 5 minutes away from school do you even need to take the car? Buy a bike or walk to save even more money.

Its a really nice apartment, theres nothing around my area thats like that at an affordable rent, so good luck!

My next door neighbour cycled a 40minute drive from north london to central east london everyday, both there and back everyday. Have you guys not seen the addidas commercial? "nothings impossible". Just wait till a Nike commerical comes along and you see the brizilian football team dribble a ball 40miles to work everyday

I have problems like that on my family computer, during cs the mouse will just stop working for about a second, and then will be fine for a bit before freezing up again. Does you problem come and go randomly like mine does, because some weeks it works fine and other weeks it plays up. Its been like that for nearly a year as I have no cure

Got to the enormous head and seemed to run out of places to hang stuff, had real problems getting the balance on the round before that.

 

Wish it turned into a "shoot the birds" game before that.

It will not work.

Take these figures for example- (they are not true, just representations)

total gas demand in america - 1 million barrels

total supplied by two biggest companies - 80% of 1 million barrels, 800,000 barrels

total supplied by other companies - 20% of 1 million barrels, 200,00 barrels.

So the total demand for gas, the amount of gas that has to be purchased is 1million (per a day, month, year, whatever its only a model. If everyone follows this plan, it means that only 200,00 barrels go gas can be purchased as the other companies simply will not be able to supply the other gas. That leaves people 800,000 barrels short, meaning that 80% of the population cant fill their tanks

People are dependant on gas, so what do they do? buy the gas from the two biggest companies.

Its alright saying that the other companies will increase their supply, but they will only be able to make a temporary increase which will last perhaps a week or something with a 400% increase in the amount of gas they need to supply.

So the oil companies are right to laugh at everyone who tries to take this oil e-mail seriously.

It was not sent by a cola executive as someone that high up in industry would not over look a basic school boy error in a plan like this.

Possible answers:

-People pay for membership in this community, and one of the benefits is being able to always play on the servers. If the server is full (22 people) and you are one of the last people to join and a member wants to play, the server will automatically kick the last person to join so the member gets in.

-In order for the membership system to operate, there are 3 'empty slots' which basically allow the members to conect to the server so the server can check their ID and see if the are a member, in which case they will be let in. If your not a member, and the server is full when you try and join, you will not be let in, and will be either redirected to another server or returned to the favourites menu.

-If that above is not your answer, then does it say your banned? If your banned, are you sure your trying to connect to the same server everytime? Its possible that you are banned on some servers but not others for some reason.

-Also beware, because if you are banned on some servers and not others, then try and join a server that your not banned on and get redirected to a serer you are banned on, then this was obvously mean you cant play.

bah this is stupid.. Once you let politicans(aka people that have no technical knowledge) start making decisions for what is best, it turns out to have extremely poor results.

 

Once the internet is completely ran over by noobs and there are so many noobs, it greatly outweights the nerds and the guys who understand what is going on. The noobs start to take control and make their own decisions, hindering why the internet was created. I'm sure when the internet gets overran by idiots. Us geeks will get tired of it, create another network that isn't completely user-friendly(at first) and abandon this mess the noobs have destroyed.

Roger that. Its like that 'stop buying this companies petrol' e-mail that was going round. Obvously an idiot had wrote it because he didnt understand the basic laws of supply and demand. Same applies to a lot of these ideas.

Good job in putting the rant/vent in the forums rather than on the server. Your best bet is to draw their (offending players) attention to this thread or discuss it with them in PMs. If you get told to shut up again, draw their attention to the motd (tell them to type motd in chat) and read the rules. If problems still arise then ask an admin for help.

But this is only one example. I went on a uk server and tried to tidy up a 40man server of team stackers by collecting evidence of repeating offenders and trying to get them told off. Most of the time people are unaware of what they are doing, or aren't doing it enough to have action taken against them.

Well, if teams are ever stacked again, there are 5 other gc servers to choose from

bbc news isn't really bias although they have had their ups and downs with the government before.

They also spent way too much time focusing on iraq for nearly a whole year. Every time I turned the news on I would see basically the same old news coming from iraq every day, and only spent a small bit of time discussing matters of home matters about demestic news that I had an interest in.

When I saw the bad church group video, I thought I saw some of the worst reporting I've ever seen in my life because it was not even reporting, it was just getting one of the members on air so you could have a bash at them. I know NOFX mentioned the above point, but others seemed to think that it was still acceptable reporting. You would never find anything like that on an english news report, only on chat shows and radio programs, which probably illustrates the difference between the countries reporting.
