  1. When I get back from the LAN party I'm apart of, I will deal with this. I have PDR and LITTLE MAC on my friends list and I will talk to them about it.

I don't have a working computer at the moment, but take my word on it that I will deal with this. People should not be votekicked because of their "skill".

prolly perma ban fart tsunami as well I imagine? I dunno anything at all about the l4d servers or Id do it now, but the name, language, and attitude are good for 1,2,3 bans here.

  2. Happy FD to all.

I just wanted to say that this weekend brought an amazing surprise.

I left my small town in Michigan many years ago. Some GC may remember me living near Seattle (Discharge) even (couldn't run far enough away).

This weekend I was honored with the "Father of the Year" award from the Chamber of commerce for my town. This of course is an honor, but even more so for me...

both of my younger siblings were given a hard time in school because of the adventurous poor precedent I set.

so for me, now, living back in this town,... it meant a lot to me.

Every child in town was given a paper back in school to have the chance to write something about their dad.:

Our daughter Lulu submitted her's among many hundreds. She said a lot of cute things about me, but the Chamber told me that what grabbed them and really touched them was her statement that "even though he is just my stepdad he loves me like a real dad"... then there was "he plays video games real good" and "he plays a mean guitar " :) ). Shes 10 and would never tell me that to my face, and it meant a lot. We butt heads a lot because prior to me there was never a man to mess things up between her and her mom.

Between her essay, and being publicly honored in front of hundreds (during the "Day at the Village"), it was a humbling experience for a man that ran from this town as fast as he could as soon as he could to dodge the history he left (I was told they still tell stories of my exploits among educators in the schools - I graduated in '90).

Best Father's Day a man could ever ask for.

  3. . Still put in almost 70 hours though.

Around 50 hours at 10ish level right now. Seems like there is plenty to do, just have to look around for it. I have about 15-20 quests open right now.

  4. I just couldnt get into it. The galaxy map thing on my ship is cool looking, but the areas looked to similar, the walls all seem cookie-cutter, etc. And the weird 3rd person aiming. I guess if I played it on a console with pads I may appreciate it more, and the weird aiming would make more sense with pads I think.

  5. Yeah- some were silly in MW2...I ran around with a sniper rifle using the junk ACOG scope so I could unlock thermal. Silly.

    I like the idea though.

  6. I want a Five Guys or In and Out! ;_;

The word "or" has never been more important...

O my... that has to be a Clueless Top 10 at least!

  7. So are theses the chips you ran back in the day?

I still have my old P166mmx, Celeron 300A, Celeron 533A, Athlon 1600+ (which my still runs 27/7 btw), Athlon XP-M 1800+. I ran those chips in that order, after that I sold the Athlon 64 and the Athlon x2 I had ran. Then I had a E2160 and now a E5200, haha didnt plan on doing my CPU history.

    Ah... the famous Celeron 300A...

Had that baby screaming at 450 Mhz I believe it was!

  8. tried Mass Effect 2. Bored the snot out of us. Looks like something Id play on my old Sega Genesis.

    Gonna check out Dark Siders.

You guys that have played it, think Ill like Dragon Age considering what I posted above?

I also enjoyed Oblivion back in the day....but that was first person too.

  9. organic herb-seasoned cornbread stuffing mixed with shaved almonds, sausage, seasoned ground beef and chicken broth on top of some steamed seasoned cabbage. This was covered with a well done egg and then all was served under a spicy red sauce of East Indian "Black Gram Lentils Curry".

    awesome.

  10. Q3A was the be-all end-all for me. I was really good at it... Then I tried it again years later... and SUCKED! I played that free online version of it for a bit too. Was fun, but not like I remember it.

Hey- anyone have a recommendation for me? I play two types.. group shooters that I play on the monitors with headphones, or the big pretty SP types that I play on the 50" and the wife likes to watch. We need a new "big" one. For comparison.. our favorites to date have been Fallout3, Bioshock 1 and 2, couple of Stalkers (Call of Pripyat we just beat) and are playing Metro 2033 right now.

We were thinking of Dragon Age, but we're not too sure about the 3rd person aspect of it yet.

    Any suggestions?

  11. Finished BioShock 2. Beautiful game. Good story, fun play, great ending, plenty of interesting playtime. Big thumbs up on that one for SP.

Just bought Metro2033. Looks to be a great game but kinda short (10-20 hours). Will let you all know.

Might pickup DragonAge before too long.

  12. I tell the wife lately:" Im gonna play MW2 and zone out for a bit".... MW2 kill n spawn = mindless fun for me. Although, I discovered that # of drinks is conversely proportional to the K:D ratio.

  13. MW2, Bioshock2, STALKER Call of Pripyat, I got totally bored with Mass Effect 2 in about 4 hours. Bleh. It plays horrible and the scenery looks 10 years old...
