Beside one or two fighting scenes the movie is bad. The story line is just awful. Thumbs down. Compared to Fearless it's night and day. Tarantino just screws stuff up.

Yeah, I do. I'm happy with my 4200+. Just curious about it. I'd like to get a 4800 before they disappear, what with the 2mb cache and 2oomhz speed increase. That's all.

I haven't owned an amd before but tell you that going 4200+ to 4800+ is worthless. waste of money. Just overclock your 4200+. amd processors max out at around 2.9-3.0 Ghz anyway. More cache will not give you a significant boost. Go with the Conroe if you want to upgrade

i don't think they are making much profit on them so they will be gone pretty soon i'm assuming. I think they hit their bottom prices already.

I'm a really lazy game beater lately, especially when it comes to stuff I'm not having fun with. It took me 2 years to beat last 2 levels of HL2 (cause they suck imo). I got Episode 1 two months back, and I think I only beat the first chapter so far (cause it's the same stuff as HL2's ending). Please tell me the rest takes place somewhere else beside that stupid skyscraper...

I'd budget my laptop to $1500 and try getting either rebates or sales discounts. That means a comp that'd be $2500 or so for $1500. I know it'd prolly be hard to do but try digging in.

I personally don't use antivirus program but Franny would recommend Kaspersky

If I get a virus I'll just download a free version of Symantec that's given to all the students at my school or just manually delete it. Kaspersky though supposedly much better than that. Go to that website and try it out. I think it's like 30 days free trial.

vovik, core duo is NOTHING like the pentium d. it's based on the pentium m. on which the core 2 duo is also based.

I was in school. My teacher got a phone call and announced that "Our nation is under attack", then we watched TV for the rest of the class. I was in a little shock as I remember. TVs were turned on everywhere from then on in all the rest of the classes. I remember towers fell down at the time I was in lunchroom. Some people were debating beforehand if they were going to collapse or not. Then, after they collapsed everyone was surprised even those who thought there were going collapse...Then after school I remember everyone going to get gas at the price of $2.00 a gallon or more(which was a huge spike).

ya thanks for the help. i guess i kinda did contradict myself. anyways that sounds like a plan going with the core duo. i'm not really on a budget i was just letting you all know what i was spending back then. i didn't know if the price changes were that much. but no i'm just looking for something that fits into the 600-900 range. but i am going to put something together after work today and see whats up. so what is the deal anyways with the new core duos? are they better than the p4's? what's so great about them? thanks for the help btw.

Core 2 Duo and Core Duo are different things. Core Duo I think is basically Pentium D for the laptops. And Pentium D's are just P4s with 2 cores - pretty unexciting.

Core 2 Duo on the other thing are much better. They outperform the competition (AMD) in almost all categories even with the cheapest chips. That's all you gotta know prolly.

I'd budget my new pc buy at $1000 at least.

I got myself a 21" ViewSonic CRT last month. Don't ask me how much I paid for it. It's dope.

I love the actor. Jason Statham, he's really good.

The movie is pretty decent. Some features like the chase camera and phone rings are pretty innovative
