  1. Hi, would just like to let you all know that I am offering very low price css lessons.

    Some breif information about myself.

I have competed at every level/division of CAL (open, intermediate, main, invite) playing a total of 3 games, sof2, cod, and css. My most recent, and current game is css. My team's most recent notable victory was against the Existence (CAL-I css). I am currently on a team that i led through open to main in 2 seasons of competition. I can offer the full package depending on what you are looking for out of a lesson(listed below). I am well known to have extremely well planned strats for every competitive map out there. I have led many teams from bottom to top so being able to mesh a team together is my specialty. There are many other solid players out there offering lessons but I promise you my prices is half of what they charge and the stuff and way I teach is much more effective. I have played and their level + my position was the one that showed those players how to work as a team.

    What I can offer:

    - How to start a team from scratch

    - How to lead and manage a team

    - How to be an in-game leader (calling)

    - How to teach your players how to communicate

    - How to predict/read the other team's play

    - Preparing for a match

    - Individual

    - Become more consistent with smart play

    - Improve shooting (method, recoil, movement, etc)

    - Awping

    - Pistoling

    - Coordination

    - Communication

    - Use of grenades

    - Detailed and complex strats for every map

    - Holding position/Falling back

    - Taking/Re-taking sites

    - Buy/Save rounds

    - Watch you (guys) in a scrim/match and review the pros/cons

    And much more

If you are interested I charge $20 for an individual lesson, and $30 for a group lesson (hour and a half - 90 minutes). If you wish to have a series of lessons, the price will be discounted upon agreement. Prices you will have from other players are anywhere from $60-$100.

If interested, please contact me via aim or email.

Ok. This won't work because 1, you're talking to a community of players who have probably played longer than you. 2, because no one would ever pay money for you to teach them how to play a game. 3, everyone here is probably already better than you. Well, i only have 3.

  2. My wife forces me to stay up late on the computer so she can get sleep. She can't get to sleep with the TV off. I can't get to sleep with the TV on. So I'm force to get about 3 hours of sleep waiting for her to fall asleep.

  3. Alright, I'm not sure if this has been discussed so here goes. Would a Plasma or HD LCD TV run well if it was used as a PC monitor running at 1080i or 720p? Im not asking WHICH would be better. I'm asking if there would be any ghosting. I know about all the frame rates, but is there any response time?

  4. This is my "Suddenly CS:S is acting strange" guide.

    1. Spyware: Download adaware from www.downloads.com that might help. You don't have to use this one but

i personally do recommend it... also make sure windows firewall is on to help prevent some spyware.

    2. Windows fire wall: make sure steam.exe and hl2.exe are in the exceptions list.

    start<settings<control panel<windows firewall<exceptions.

    3. Hard drives: Run defrag on your hard drives(regularly). Sometimes it will cause strange

things to happen in game. (start<programs<accessories<system tools<disk defragmenter)

    4. Can-O-Air: Investing in one of these every now and then, if you don't use water cooling, is a good idea.

Sometimes dust can clog up a heat sink, and cause heat to build up. Which can cause loss of FPS.

Simply open your case, point at the heat sink, and spray. please... please... remember DON'T HOLD

THE CAN UPSIDE DOWN. And make sure your computer is off.

  7. It may not be your fault... I thought I was having problems from my end, and i added all the ports into windows fire walls exceptions, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS TURNED OFF. Anyway, i started doing ping polls, and tracerts. Well, i noticed that between 2 level3 servers, there was a * * * every time. I contacted my ISP, and they told me they were having complaints about the level 3 company. Then I did a search and found this. NEWS Interesting....

  8. Me, I like to read. I've read about... 20 books this year so far. A friend and I got some Japanese material from his friend whose in college and we're both learning Japanese. Sometimes I go to. http://www.japanese-online.com and go over some stuff there if i have time. I listen to music almost... 14 hours a day, 5 days out of the week. I have my 8 gig mp3 player with me at work... so it makes work fun. I sit on IRC and chat with some people I knew back when gaming on Kahncentral.net, zone.com and kali.net was fun.(dos games). Hmm, I play with my kids when they're not asleep... or I'm at work. I think thats about it. :)

  9. okay, well i dont really have the money for a better vid card... actually.. maybe i do. Since i dont know video cards of today anymore... could someone help me get a card within the price range of $250 that is MUCH better than a Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb

If you want another AGP card thats cheap... you could go with a x1600 512 meg. Its not super great, but i have mine overclocked and it runs like a dream. I actually upgraded from a 9800xt OCed, I had custom cooling on it so it was pretty beefy. Im still very statisfied with the x1600 though.

  10. I think i fixed it. I never had a legal copy of windows... but when I installed this new copy i bought, it was the latest version of windows... it had all the updates included. Well, even if you disable windows firewall, it would still block ports. So I had to individually input all the ports to unblock, to fix it. I only got to test it for 20 minutes, but it didn't disconnect... and with the power outages I can't do a full hour test.

  11. Alright... So I've been getting this message from 10-30 minutes every time I play. I recently had to reinstall windows, but I played CS:S on the new install with no problems. A day or so later I started getting disconnected. Here is what I've already tried.

Resting the modem.(unplugged for 30 minutes)

There is no router hooked up.

    Windows firewall is turned off.

    Start<Run<Msconfig< unchecked Process system.ini, win.ini.

    Reinstall STEAM.

Ran steam programs that check for connectivity(shows it was fine)

    Updated all drivers.

    deleted ClientRegistry.blob

Reinstalled nic drivers for my onboard nic.

Talked to my ISP who says(There are currently no problems in the northeast ohio area)

    Ran www.speedguide.net/analyizer

Does this happen to anyone else? And if so did you find a solution?

  12. What do you guys use for mouse settings in windows, and in game. And what console settings do you guys do? There imo, there isn't a very good guide out there with what tweaks to use. I just did a clean install of windows and was attempting to tweak mine.

  13. Ok, my little brother has a PsP. And he wants to get on the net with it. We bought a wireless ethernet card. Well, he has a modem which is wired, to the pc. And we hooked up this wireless card. This is what i tired.... I tried bridging the connections together, and it wouldn't work. It would ethier send, and not recieve. Or recieve and not send. The network bridge IP was always different. it would be a 165.xxx.xxx.xxx number, or a 192.168.x.x number. Any solution to this problem other than buying a wireless router?

  14. I'm hoping to get a new rig. My wifes brother has 9 million dollars, and I short of asked for a GOOD computer for xmas. He's a gamer, and he just spend 6k on a new dell. He's got the top Dell gaming system. When I pulled the side of his case off, I almost cried at his SLI nvidia cards. :( I'm actually hoping to get about that same rig. Maybe i'll own you faster in Source. haha just kidding.

  15. Well, i've played this off and on for a while. Thought i'd let a bunch of people know about. it. It actually isn't that bad anymore they've added some great stuff to it. If you havn't tried it, make sure you recommend me when you sign up. www.rakion.net. and my name on rakion is dudesoul. I hope you guys find this game as fun as I do.
