Hey guys, I'm not exactly sure if you want to know, but I am elated, and feel like telling the world. Anyway, here is the beginning of the letter I got from SDSU today. "Dear Michael, Congratulations! You have been admitted to San Diego State University for the fall 2006 semester. Your hard work in high school places you in top eight percent of our freshmen applicant pool, and we are pleased to notify you of your admission status earlier than most admitted applicants." So, it looks like I am going to college! I have also applied for the Navy ROTC scholarship, in which my application is being reviewed right now, hopefully I will get that, too!!

Hmm, great, yes! I'll take it! Sounds a little fishy though....

Hey everyone, I don't know if anyone remembers seeing me at all. But I have returned; I took a pretty long hiatus from playing CS. Anywho, with Christmas coming up and all, I might actually be able to afford paying that $50 to join GC. At least, I hope it's still $50...

I think I know what you referring to. Do you mean the rank in the sidebar by a member that shows their rank (army)? I believe this is earned through posting. Below 100 posts you are ranked civilian, 100 private, then upwards. I don't know exactly how many posts promotes you, but I think this is how it works.

Yes, that is infinately annoying. What's also stupid about them is how they will sometimes run into an enemy bot, and both of the bots will simply stare at each other for sometimes several seconds, before commencing to fire. This can be rather amusing, though. Freakin' hilarious, really.

Mr. Chan your Signature is freaking me out. Same thing I was thinking, Keith, how someone could boost their stats artificially. (so to speak) Wonder if there is a way to make stats not "count" against bots?

Hey, I noticed before in the server, as part of the random server messages, that you play custom maps on Saturday evenings. Do you guys still do this? If so, might you be interested in some of my work? I've made a few maps (and not ripoff "maps" like fy_iceworld) for CS 1.5/1.7 in the good ol' days and now I'm working on converting them to source. I can see you screens and/or files if you guys are interested.

I think bots would be cool, during the those extreme late/early hours.

I think the first to 10 works fine. Personally, I've never played a game that has lasted 30 minutes.

Yeah i've seen some servers do this. I think it would be cool too. Although, would there be a way that fighting bots would not boost your skill? Unless the bots were extremely difficult, people might use them to "rank up" easily. (Thereby artifically inflating the stats, and eventually it would crash, and there would be the Great Counter-Strike Depression. :tongue2: )
