  1. Sounds like they updated the case quite a bit. On mine you can't adjust the fan speed from the outside. I just keep them on full; they're not very powerful or loud.

This is the quietest case I've ever owned, Ive been happy with it. Also, the filters are doing a great job of keeping dust out.

Unfortunately I can't make any temperature comparisons over my old case since I replaced everything in one shot.

  2. I would highly recommend putting your hard drives in the top compartment if you can. Unfortunately this was impossible for me since my 8800 is so incredibly long. I had to put my raptors in the lower compartment, which was a bit of a pain, because the sata power/data cables were extremely close to hitting the fan located between the drives and the psu. I was forced to zip tie them in multiple spots to prevent them from hitting the fan blades.

Here you can see how close the hard drives are to the fan. This was the biggest pain, but you might be able to avoid it.

  3. I wouldn't buy the factory tires. Any decent performance tires from Toyo or Kumho will be far better. Kumho has a huge lineup of tires for cheaper than you would think.

  4. Once you download it though, there's no reason for you to buy it.

Not true. A friend of mine downloads music to sample it. If he likes it, he'll buy the CD. If not, he'll get rid of it.

We're talking about pirating music, not sampling. I'm talking about people that pirate just to have it.

  5. im not justifying my piracy... i download, its illegal... but to shine some clarity, downloading/coping is different than stealing off a shelf. because if you steal off a shelf... that is ACTUAL lost profit. if you download, that isnt lost profit, thats just you not making any profit. Theres a difference, and its pretty big. Still i am not saying downloading is okay, and that it isnt that bad or anything.. it is wrong, i do it... and i realize it is wrong. but assuming i didn't download, they arent making anymore profit or any less if i did download... because i'm telling you now, i would not buy the CD or the movie in the first place.

That might be so, but you don't know for sure that you wouldn't have bought the CD/movie in the first place. If there was absolutely no way to get free movies and cds off the net, then you very well might have bought some/most of the stuff you've pirated. Once you download it though, there's no reason for you to buy it. That, to me, is just as good as lost profit, where millions of people don't need to buy your product because they already have it.

  6. It would be no different than going to best buy and stealing 300 movies, which would definitely be a felony. That's 3,000 dollars of stolen movies and 1700 dollars of stolen music (assuming 10 bucks per movie, and thats taking it easy). Just because it is done silently from a remote location doesn't make it any less severe.

I disagree If I am selling a product I have a responsibility to make sure that product is secure. Its not secure. It would be more like walking down the street and seeing it laying all over the floor for miles not stealing out of a store I feel that is a big difference. I dont condone copying but I feel your argument is off here.

Well the bottom line is you didn't pay for it, so what's different?

Music/movies on the net is different. Those people didn't "lose" their albums and movies. People are going out of their way to take these cds and movies off a virtual shelf. There is nothing innocent about downloading movies and music illegally.

    It's the same thing.

  7. It would be no different than going to best buy and stealing 300 movies, which would definitely be a felony. 8. I would recommend sound proofing the entire inside of the case with sound deadening material. Find some nice silent fans. Also putting your computer under the desk (if it's not already) makes a huge difference. Watercooling is probably the most effective, but I personally can't justify the cost and risk.

  9. I'm in the beta right now, but I don't even have it installed. I'm so burnt out on all games right now (including WoW), so I haven't had a chance to reinstall. I can tell you though, that they have their crap together. It looks like a complete game, believe it or not. Graphics look great, lots of options there.

Like I said, I haven't played much into it, but it does look cool. If I wasn't playing WoW, I would definitely get it.

  10. Luckily I got a copy of XP Pro w/ sp2 for $20.00 from my college. I'll wait until April when they carry Vista Ultimate.

Why another OS? Is it just a different version of Vista? It sounds like they just added a few features and called it a different name. Anyhow, it's probably just a rumor. Even MS wouldn't do something that ignorant.

  11. Some honest reasons include:

Financial Hardship: If you work and are hard for cash, then you can have your place of employment write a letter (on your company's stationery) to someone in the judicial system (your original summons will specify the address).

If you have school, you might be able to get out of it. I'm not sure what criteria you must meet, but your summons should fill you in on the steps needed.
