So I've decided to put my 3 year old Dell on the shelf and start building my own system. Money isnt a major problem as you will see below, but I dont want to go to overboard. This is what I'm looking to buy this week through Newegg.com (only because they seem to be pretty reasonable and I can get everything sent to me in 3 days for about $75): Socket type: AMD Athlon fx60 Mobo: ASUS A8N32-Sli Deluxe RAM: 2 sets of OCZ Titanium 2GB (2x1GB) = 4GB (I know this is alot more then I need, but I guess you can't have to much ) Hard Drive: Western Digital Raptor 150GB, 10,000 RPM SATA Video Cards: 2 sets of eVGA 256MB 7800GT PCI-e x16 OS: Windows Pro 64bit I'm looking for everyone's advice....I've read up on alot of this equipment and have a pretty good understanding of what I'm getting into, but any extra advice would be appreciated. P.S. I think that AMD is going to be coming out with a new chipset by the end of this year? Thanks

The only problem I have experienced in windowed mode is that I cant reach my options when i hit escape. My mouse goes to the desktop vs. in game options. This might just be my system, I'm ot sure.

I had to connect an old monitor and then reset my settings to a non-widescreen mode. After that it was all good.

I'm not sure why I'm banned on the Midwest servers . I was banned about a month ago on West and got the situation cleared up (http://www.gamrs.co/forums/index.php?showtopic=22184). At the end Shep lifted the ban on server #2 I believe. But I recently tried to go into server #2 and it said I was banned . Can some one look into why I was banned on the Midwest servers and help me get unbanned. I play West server all the time and love the servers, but I hate when no one is west and I can't play in the Midwest because I was banned. If help'd I promise never to do whatever it was that i did ever again. forgot, but my Steam ID is 0:1:6025710

After re-installing the program, it's still not working. What else might I be able to do, so I can play?

I have a Hyundai 19" flat screen monitor... ....and the other night I was playing around in my options again and I set my video options to Widescreen (16:9 I believe, not sure) and my screen went black with a box in the middle that said "Video Mode Not Supported". The only thing I could do was "Ctrl + Alt + Del" to get out of the program. Now everytime that I try and run CS, my screen goes back to that black screen. I did everything to try and fix. I even deleted all my game config files, but nothing worked. Anyone have any thoughts besides not to play with my settings>

I started to look into it after reading your last post, I probably will. 1 thing though, could you have the lead admin from the other server review my case so I can try and get unbanned from their server too? If I'm paying $50 to join I would like access to all the servers, and i promise to follow all their rules and not have anymore noob mistakes. Oh, you said I was banned on 10/21(from server #2 Mid)......I dont remember playing on Mid server for a long time(like I said previuos...months). Maybe i was re-directed there, but i still dont remember doing anything stupid enough to get banned. either way what ever I did to get banned from that server also I promise never to do again and to watch myself. frOG

Thanks John....I appreciate it. Like I said, I like this server because of its stick rules, which allow real gamers to have a good time and play without others messing it up. I respect your decision not to lift the ban on server #2 and hope that a lead admin from that server will be gracious enough to lift that ban as well. To answer your question about the my playing time. I'm usually on pretty late because I work late hours and dont have to be up early in the morning. Most times I see yourself, Whitey, or even Huggz( , not sure if he is a admin yet?) while I play, so usually its pretty clean, and thank you for that. See on the battle ground

John, I'm not here to cause propblems on any servers. I think I was banned from the other servers for just not knowing to much about the rules. I never used bad lang or anything, I think it had to do with a team flash one time and the admin thought it was on purpose, but in fact my finger slipped off my mouse. He was pretty convinced I did on purpose though, so I understand all the rules and promise to be a good noob. :-)

BTW, how do I get someones Steam ID for a ban request?????

PLEASE HELP. about a half hour ago I was banned for TKing a player too many times. I understand why I was banned, but the player was being racist and screaming on the mic. I post a ban notice for this guy just before I started to write this. Could you please review the ban notice and lift my ban? I play by the rules all the time, I never intentionally break them and I enjoy your server alot. Please let me know. Also it seems that I got banned from Midwest server too???? Haven' t played that server for months or at least since you released the West coast server, can you look into that as well?? I know this is alot of crap below, but this guy was ruining everything for everyone. Name was |->FSU<-| Fl@sh3rh3r0. He would scream in the mic and right racist and nonsense the whole time, since there was no Admin at the time I TK'd him to shut him up. I know thats not the best thing to do to make someone like this go away, but I was highly annoyed and now I'm banned . please help, I know the rules and never try and break them. I like this server and dont want to be banned. I apologize about the multi-TK, but he really deserved it. Whats weird is that sometimes I can log in and play and there is no problem, but occassionallly when I try to log in it says I'm banned. I wish I knew what my offense was or if this is just some random fluke. If you guys could tell me what it is that would be great.
