Sorry I was absent for so long but work and life made me forget about my commitment here.

I had pledged $10 entry fee and an additional $20 to the pot - what is the paypal for the $20 to the pot. I will get with Playaa on his $10.

We lift M-W-F for an hour - I have gone from a bench of 145 to 185 for two sets, leg press is at 690, squat up to 325, and lots of other improvements - I feel great physically, I just look fat still lol!

Tuesday and Thursday I do 30 minutes of cardio as well.

Meals -

7am - 1 piece wheat toast, 1 egg, 2 egg beaters, 1 slice lean ham, 1 slice reduced fat cheese

10:30am - Apple

12:30pm - 3 slices ham on a wheat bun, carrots, small handfull of chips and an apple or banana

3:30pm - Apple/Protein shake

6:00pm - Hamburger on wheat bun, broccoli, fruit, and some chips or potatoes

8:00pm - apple or shake

The only thing that has changed since last year is that I added in diet pop and got hooked on nicotine again. Maybe I will stop both those and see what happens.

sj - Google is not an issue, the site is already established and it gets very few hits...maybe 100/month at the very most and Google has it so it should not slip far due to this.

Dweez - That was my thought as well - but I am clueless in Flash.

Unclean/Boiler - I was hoping for something early next week sometime...maybe Tuesday/Wednesday. I have the original image with the Sun guy and Text as layers, the rest is all part of the base image.

- It needs to stay the size it is now - 779x195

- I have no sound files, it does not even need it unless there is some stock "click" or "movie-type" sound in Flash that is easy to add

- Size - Preferably under 1MB - this will be the main header image and then iframes will open the links in windows under this banner

Not sure if the above makes a difference on who can help out - I will have more work in the next couple months as well that will be more money, just working out some details now on some places.

I need some help - I am willing to pay $50 via paypal for some quick work.

I have a picture:

I need to get the yellow "bulbs" to flash around the marquee, like you would see at a movie theatre.

I also need to get the words into flash buttons that animate when the mouse moves over them - Not anything super-fancy, just something that shows they are active, maybe with a small sound or something for each one.

Anyone able to help out? PM me and we can discuss details - I am doing this pro-bono for a friend and not looking to spend much more than $50 - is this too little for this type of work?

Quick noobish question on the bags -

I just bought a non-running 1986 Shadow VT700c. I got the thing running perfectly and the seats are going in today for recovering and a friend is painting the tank and fenders next week for free - so shortly it will look like new, except for a couple dings on the right pipe.

Would that large bag, or the Roll bag attach to the back seat easily? Just curious, I want saddlebags but I have not found any nice used ones yet.

Alright all -

Quick question - I am eatting less and working out a LOT - but am not losing that much weight.

I understand and know that muscle weighs more than fat, and I have gone down two belt loops, but I want to lose some pounds as well.

Does Diet Soda affect metabolism? I have cut back from 4-5 a day to one in the morning after I work out, but I just did that this week.

Does smokeless tobacco affect weight loss? I tried to find some info on the net but I read conflicting reports and wondered if anyone here knew the answer.

been away on spring break to the Smokies - sorry for not posting up in a couple weeks.

I am not making much progress - 225 - but I fully started the Body-for-Life plan this week and I expect to see some big loss in the next 2-3 weeks.

We mobilized the whole country for WWI and II. This is not the case this time. When we mobilize the country, re-tool factories to produce military goods then that stimulates the economy with more jobs, more money, etc...

Our economy was crashing before Bush ever took office and before 9/11 happened so it is not the fault of the war the economy sucks.

I do agree the bonus plans for the CEO's is a big ridiculous. But I do think they need to be rewarded when their company turns a profit or makes advances. They lead a company and should get rewarded for that leadeadership.

Personally - I hope Ford continues to see sales fall. I do not think the boycott affected sales, GM and Chrysler saw declining sales as well.

As far as boycotts in general - That is how the consumer affects the producer in our country. You stop buying and let them know why you stopped buying the product. MCI had a boycott a few years back because Danny Glover was their spokeperson and he came out in support of Fidel Castro and against the US government. People organized, sent letters and compliants and stopped buying MCI products - 2 weeks later Glover was fired.

This goes for all groups out there - I am sure there are many lame groups that have organized and boycotted organizations out there just like AFA did to Ford.

If people want someone to blame for layoffs - look no further then the unions. There is currently a $53/hour wage gap between the big# and the foreign companies manufacturing here in the US for union people. That is amazingly ridiculous. The costs to make a car keep going up while the quality declines.

America is about freedom to live and believe what you want, why try to take that away from others?

I am not sure what gas prices have to do with anything. We have always been low and are catching up to the rest of the world. It happens when we are forced to buy from other countries. The Oil per barrel price is what drives the cost of gas up and down though, not us being in Iraq. Go blame the people that keep buying the shares of oil and driving the costs up higher and higher.

Demoner - Bad correlation in my opinion - I do not believe there is a cause/effect for the war and our economy.

However - I would like to see MUCH less spent on our military and have us close down bases around the world and work on what is inside our borders before we go spending billions in other countries.

I have been using Vista Ultimate 64 a little of 4 months now and love the stupid thing. I had zero install problems and everything worked as soon as I installed it on my new PC build.

The main issues I have come from using 64-bit and the lack of support for some software...namely codecs. It took me several hours of reading and downloading to get AVIs and DiivX videos to play correctly. Overall though it has been a great OS and I love the changes and was never happy with XP over the years.

I would still prefer to go OSx but the limited software apps and game titles make it a poor choice at this time. I hope Jobs releases a version without the hardware locks and then we will see more developers making more programs for it.

As to the original article - it was a nice rant, but very heavy on the hate. MS is not going away, no matter how bad some folks dislike Vista. They have a choke-hold on the business community which leads to a choke-hold on the public since people do not want one thing at work and another at home in most cases.

6 meals / day

12:30pm - ham or turkey sandwich on wheat with handful of grapes

3:30 - fruit/cheese (or protein shake)

6:00pm - small portion dinner, low carb

8:00pm - fruit/cheese or shake

Workout:

Monday - 30-45minutes Weights

Tuesday - 30 minutes cardio

Wednesday - 30-45minutes Weights

Thursday - 30 minutes cardio

Friday - 30-45minutes Weights

Saturday - 30 minutes Cardio

This is the body for life program. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested. Go to ebay and buy the book and cookbook used and watch the pounds come off. Last Spring I shed 60+ pounds on this plan.

P.S. - I have found that if you keep it around 1300-1500 calories and under low carbs you will do great!! I find it easier to watch carbs then I do calories.

I believe in a flat tax of a set % on income. Everyone pays the same %, no matter how much you make. You pair this with a national sales tax on everything and you hit the rich because they spend more, you hit the tourists that come here and you hit the illegals who are here working under the table.

On Unions - the people running the unions are voted into that spot by the unions. I have worked with the Airport unions, teacher unions, Big 3 unions and a few others and have yet to see the benefit, besides protecting the worker no matter what. At GM it is impossible to get anything done in a timely fashion due to the unions. We could not even plug in computers without calling the union to send an electrician and his apprentice down to plug them into the wall. Computers are stolen and the union guys caught are back at work the next day with a write-up in their file.... The teacher union at my school got a contract approved that they get a set % raise each year based on their seniority (.5% for each year they have been there) - there are no performance reviews, nothing can be done to fire a teacher if they are not liked or perform poorly, etc... I truly believe our unions have driven costs through the roof in this country for most goods out there.

As to the solider raises - I think we need to cut spending and reduce troop counts and pull back inside our borders instead of putting bases all around the world. We spend such a ridiculous amount of money each year on our military we need to cut it in some fashion - granted, I do not think this will happen, but I would like it to.

I also think we need to revamp the government contract process. Most things are awarded to the lowest bidder. Well, the lowest bidder is not going to supply the best product. Take a look at Michigan, since I live here. We award our roads contracts to the lowest bidder. We have the worst roads in the country according to several studies. The pavement they put down cracks and splits in under a year, then the contractor gets a new job to go patch and fix the potholes and other issues. Yet, if they awarded it to a higher bidder that offered a warranty or higher-quality product they would last longer.

Mine will be up today - just got back last night from my golf trip last week.

On the flipside -

McCain worries me with taxes. He has said no new taxes but I want the flat tax so bad I can taste it. I think Huckabee has the right plan for our taxes but I do not know if it will ever happen.

Military spending - I think we spend WAY too much on our military as it stands. We need to cut spending on foreign support, military surplus and look at over-spending for contractors. At the same time we need to RAISE military salaries, benefits and reward them for putting their lives on the line.

In respect to the above we also need to look at police officers and firemen for more money, as well as teachers. But I would never want to do this unless they de-unionized.

Anyone play any good gungame servers? I am an admin on the Warriors of War GG server. I stopped playing normal CS once I discovered GG, the quick rounds and maps make it more enjoyable for me. Anyone else out there a fan of GG?
