  1. For anyone with kids, I cannot wait until I am old enough to annoy them. It is long but good ending.

  2. We put up the snowmobiles a few weeks back and now we have more snow. I decide to go play.

Excuse the crappy graphics, wife came out with cell phone to record my stupidness.

  3. Yes this was the point. I did not think about crosshair always being centered though. I just wanted as little as body showing around corner as possible.

  4. Looking through steam specs and notices my OS install date is 1969. What does this mean?

  5. I just purchased the same comp. Mine hovers around 3% then jumps to 33% while running internet and music. While in game with the direct console at medium and game graphics on high it runs at 53-58%. I installed vista home. If you find anything out keep me posted I need the help. I will see if I can do some research as well.

  6. Yes it is, I really like it so far, From what I have done so far It is more than I need. I like the screen size it is like a commuting widescreen tv. Vista office is sweet, One notes is great! I have not played a game yet, but it has some one touch button that you can bump up cpu settings for gaming at touch of button. I can actually alt/tab in and out of programs, my old comp would crash if I did that. Keyboard has a great feel and the number pad is a huge help. Only thing I do not like so far is the flashy color. I guess I will see how things go after I learn how you use vista more. Thanks for pointing me to asus I am impressed.

  7. Well I need one soon, I am picking this up tonight

    linky

I am so confused on what would be best buy, looked at so many, It seems every other one falls short in one area or another. This one is clearenced and in stock. Seem light, everything I need. I would like the M50 but not is stock anywhere in my area. Thank you for replies, I will let you know of first impressions tommorow.

  8. Well I posted awhile back on what notebook to purchase. I wanted a dell and still do. I have been reading good things about Asus. I am really lost on graphic cards, processor and so on. So I have cash in hand ready to buy. Can anyone give me a good recomendation and link. This will primarliy be for work/school, CAD and gaming. So I would really appreciate a link to something that is really just a good all around computer. Thanks.

  9. "Psst, c'mere," said the shifty-eyed man wearing a long black trenchcoat, as he beckoned me off the rainy street into a damp dark alley. I followed.

"What are you selling?" I asked.

    "Geometrical algebra drugs."

    "Huh!?"

"Geometry drugs. Ya got your uppers, your downers, your sidewaysers, your inside-outers..."

"Stop right there," I interrupted. "I've never heard of inside-outers."

"Oh, man, you'll love 'em. Makes you feel like M.C. ever-lovin' Escher on a particularly weird day."

    "Go on..."

"OK, your inside-outers, your arbitrary bilinear mappers, and here, heh, here are the best ones," he said, pulling out a large clear bottle of orange pills.

"What are those, then?" I asked.

"Givens transformers. They'll rotate you about more planes than you even knew existed."

"Sounds gross. What about those bilinear mappers?"

"There's a whole variety of them. Here's one you'll love -- they call it 'One Over Z' on the street. Take one of these little bad boys and you'll be on speaking terms with the Point at Infinity."

  10. Last year, my friend upgraded his GirlFriend 3.1 to GirlFriendPlus1.0 (marketing name: Fiancee1.0).

Recently he upgraded Fiancee1.0 to Wife1.0, and it's a memory hogger! It has taken all his space; and Wife1.0 must be running before he can do anything. Although he didn't ask for them, Wife1.0 came with Plug-Ins such as MotherInLaw and BrotherInLaw. These too slow down the system and cause a slow drain on the resources and well-being of the computer.

Some features I'd like to see in the upcoming GirlFriend4.0:

    1. A "Don't remind me again" button.

    2. Minimize button.

    3. Shutdown feature - An install shield feature so that Girlfriend4.0 can be completely uninstalled if so desired (so you don't lose cache and other objects).

I tried running Girlfriend 2.0 with Girlfriend 1.0 still installed; they tried using the same I/O port and conflicted. Then I tried to uninstall Girlfriend 1.0, but it didn't have an uninstall program. I tried to uninstall it by hand, but it put files in my system directory.

Another thing that sucks--in all versions of Girlfriend that I've used is that it is totally "object orientated" and only supports hardware with gold plated contacts.

    Bug warning

Wife 1.0 has an undocumented bug. If you try to install Mistress 1.1 before uninstalling Wife 1.0, Wife 1.0 will delete MSMoney files before doing the uninstall itself. Then Mistress 1.1 will refuse to install, claiming insufficient resources.

  11. An elephant was drinking out of a river one day, when he spotted a turtle asleep on a log. So, he ambled on over and kicked it clear across the river.

"What did you do that for?" Asked a passing giraffe.

"Because I recognized it as the same turtle that took a nip out of my trunk 53 years ago."

"Wow, what a memory" commented the giraffe.

"Yes," said the elephant, "turtle recall".

    This one is great also.

An Indian chief had three wives, each of whom was pregnant. The first gave birth to a boy. The chief was so elated he built her a teepee made of deer hide. A few days later, the second gave birth, also to a boy. The chief was very happy. He built her a teepee made of antelope hide. The third wife gave birth a few days later, but the chief kept the details a secret. He built this one a two story teepee, made out of a hippopotamus hide. The chief then challenged the tribe to guess what had occurred. Many tried, unsuccessfully. Finally, one young brave declared that the third wife had given birth to twin boys. "Correct," said the chief. "How did you figure it out?" The warrior answered, "It's elementary. The value of the squaw of the hippopotamus is equal to the sons of the squaws of the other two hides."
