I'd be down to do some custom map searching LATE tonight after the gym (and work). I'm pretty familiar with FPS Banana. I can help out at certain times but I doubt I'll have time to plan events.

I have to admit I miss stock, I can play a good couple maps with GG then I lose interest. I used to play 6-10 in a row.

I also think part of the problem was/is that the admins weren't there all the time to support west. I know I fell off due to playing wow again for a bit, going back to the gym, etc. As much as I'd like to say it was stock that did it, I know people like myself had a part in it. I'd like to say that I wish there had been some sort of announcement about this change but I don't really know how much that would have affected the outcome of this decision.

I think most people just want to be communicated to that decisions are going to be made and have input on them before they are finalized. I support poke and the decisions that have been made by everyone, but that may not mean that I agree with them. The thing is people may not agree with west not being stock because we really like playing in that environment. As you can see from people still coming up with solutions after the decision has been made, people won't give up or lose the feeling of wanting to have west like it used to be. I think this is totally acceptable as long as we all support things moving forward. I just wanted to make that point, I know that gc has been around way before I joined and it will continue to do so and I know that you all have dealt with this before. I'm just trying to explain why some of us feel the way we do. Looking ahead... here's to having fun in a new environment.

That's fine by me, you guys put in all the hard work and I know leading can be trying at times. I am curious if traffic does increase and stabilize, would the LAs be open to a change back to a stock environment?

One of the reasons why I paid for membership and eventually became an admin was because of the atmosphere in a stock cs:s environment. I understand that traffic has been low lately but I think a lot of people joined for the same reason. I haven't been involved lately but I agree with shaft 100%, gun game IS fun but I really enjoy stock cs:s a lot more.

EDIT: This is not a threat from me and I don't want this to be taken the wrong way but I think things like west going to gun game would greatly influence the vote of renewals. You may want to do another vote for renewals with west being gun game and not stock.

EDIT 2: It was fun getting shot a lot by you last night poke... heh, good times.

So poke said west will be a gun game server permanently? Is this true? If so, was that up for discussion and did I miss something? I've been inactive lately due to some personal matters and I surprised to see what happened. Did this have something to do with the low traffic on west lately?

I'm with nick, west... stock, nuff said. As for maps that area I'm a bit more flexible. Since I have a new PC I'm definitely going to be on vent more.

I seem to play at the same time every night and end up on the same maps. What does everyone think of this new evening map cycle? Here's my 2 cents.

PORT - Personally I hate Port, it ends up being who can make it to the ship the fastest and who does/doesn't have awps. Some people don't agree with my hatred of the map (which is understandable), but you can't deny that people end up doing what I stated.

TIDES - About half the people on Tides liked it, the other half hated it. I don't mind it personally even though I don't find it incredibly fun. The people that said it would empty the server didn't leave and it didn't do what they stated it would do. I could go without this map but if everyone likes it, that's fine.

DUST - I don't love to play dust but it's refreshing in the sense that we didn't play it a lot on West. Other than that it can be a VERY frustrating map when people aren't doing what they are supposed to be doing. I don't know about this one. Can't deny it draws people into the server.

Lastly, I used to dislike Contra because it was an ugly looking map. Then I realized it's really balanced and fun to play. Did it do bad in rotation? I'd like to see it added again if other people want it back.

Not cs_kismayo please, that's hostage map and those suck. Get de_kismayo. Also I like those variation of default maps like italy 2 or tactiks, stuff like that. Those are fresh look on default maps we all know and love.

I'm with tracid on this one, I dislike the hostage version of Kismayo. Never played the other version, but I could imagine it being fun.

I'm with Laz on this... I get home and I want to have fun. Instead I play and what ends up happening is the team that loses has a much more difficult time recovering than the team that is winning. The overall quality of the game has gone down. Also, there are some weapons I just don't care about buying and I don't like to feel like my decision on which weapon to buy should be heavily influenced by something other than me. I don't have much fun using a lot of the weapons and if I want to buy a handgun, I don't want it to be more expensive than an assault rifle.

When it comes to making games, some things look good on paper and other things are actually fun. I believe that source needed something to change things up, but my enjoyment of the game has gone down considerably since this weapon pricing system has been introduced. If it keeps up I don't know if I'll care to play the game much longer. I want to come home, pick up a deagle and not have to pay an arm and a leg for it.

I would be down to do this, I'm not sure about being able to make it every night. If it becomes a huge issue I will bow out, but I am interested.
