Thanks for the attempt HW. Penty loves mutated vehicles like supertank, ion cannon tank, flying tank, etc. I am not joking about flying tank. The map vehicles are insane. Like a barfight with machine guns no real refinement in play, just blatant killing. Killed me plenty Dark. Did not like Alien 2 map just too big and way to exposed to mantas when building nodes. You guys were awesome on Argento. The tank pushing with bender moves you guys up fast and I was facing like 3 of you to only me when on foot. Not pretty and I was like high scorer for team. I felt the visability was less than usual for that map though. Distance was hard to see at. Icaraus has a levi at each end? What was the intelligent reason for that? Just slowes the game down and primary too accessible to fire from corridor (you know which won) but core tank too easy to bring up to take primary node back. Feels like game of attrition.Just my thoughts. Hope to do better next time.

Yep. Just checked the logs. Unfortunately, omnipotents made the unwise decision to not zip up their maps and they only have the maps themselves on their website. If someone can find zips of these maps it would be appreciated. Otherwise you will have to wait on these until I can track down all the packages. I tried installing omnipotents minus-tank-me-up. It does not work Thanks for getting Argento up. It has no mantas or raptors so dm and team use of scorpions will effect play. Bots are idiots look forward to playing real people.

Thanks for info Dark. Will remember. I dodge too much when Bush has flak out. Will remember when to jump and when not too. Surprisingly, after "over analyzing" target acquisition, I put my talk where my mouse was last night. My accuracy was a couple of notches above what it normally was. My hits were mostly with shocker and lightning gun. First couple of times I believed it was luck but got a little nervous when I kept hitting people like Lex and Bush. That never happens. Of course they got sick of it and did each did a "Kill Pat drive" which almost always succeeded. Must have been a full moon with right ping, hand eye coordination, and opponents low on health. I will probably suck tonight. Got to use flak more often when in close.

The only redeemer I know where is on Torlan map since I only really play on Nepenthe. It has been so long I do not know where any other redeemers are. They would be helpful killing levi though on Severence.

How come I keep finding you on demo servers but then you come to our server and kick butt? I have no idea what you mean. I guess I usually practice my aim usually somewhere between 8-11 pm on Nep or SCK. I think Unclean means "how do you zero in to hit people so fast. Do you get into a meditative state while aiming or have mouse brain interface for accuracy? Do you anticipate the direction of opponent motion to aim ahead of point? Or do you follow with mouse at a level to opponent while dodging and when individual cross line of sight you fire? Do you position yourself a specific way when firing at someone in relation to where you are holding mouse on mousepad? Do you control your aim, through direction keys or mouse movement or what combination percent. Can you tell I am interested ? I myself have a 1 inch square in center of my mouse pad that I have improved accuracy at distance targets. It is a hand eye kind of thing. If guy hides behind tree then dodges or double dodges to left or right into open while I am waiting probability is he will get hit. I tend to run backwards from people when engaging lethal players to increase distance and make them position themselves in my 1 inch mouse square. Not good when attacking to give up ground but need to do that with better players like you guys. The T5k guys last night got alot of hitscan hits on me. The speed was like I see them, they see me, they shoot me dead with lightning gun before my mouse even moves. On a side note Bushwack, I notice you use flak balls most of the time instead of shards due to more splash though shards are a splash in a particular direction (I should use flak more I tend to be shocker intensive). How do you judge when to use which?

I am scared of heights please no Icarus. I do like Penty's Scorched on Omnipotent. Has more nodes and better weapon selection at lockers. By the way Penty, thanks for Omnipotent map site. Runs slow on server for me (when I can get on due to almost always full) but would not mind playing bots. I am a freak when it comes to vehicles.

Lighting effects are amazing with ut3 engine. Hope I can play it without DX10 at max specs with my 8800 gts oc graphics card. Don't want to upgrade to vista due to the number of older peripheral hardware I use (I still use a 10 year old epson style 850)

The only avril hits I did to you were when I was aiming at someone else (like tank) and you flew into my avril lock or where I was aiming up a hill at raptor and you crested the hill from the other side just below the raptor. The avril at that time was 3 meters from you when locked. No one could evade it. I can't depend on these kind of hits. I am going to have to practice my helbending even more cause up close I get eviscerated. I think me and Dingy should practice working in tandem against you guys (2 vs 1). Our individual strengths together will cut down on our deaths and hopefully make things interesting for you guys. We need to improve communication though. Dingy had a habit of giving a warning "Hey pat (I get hit by ****) there is a **** over there". I wasn't much help either. Saw a guy grenading our tank and went looking for him. Did not mention it and Dingy jumped in tank. BOOM. No more Dingy. I find guy where guy hiding and kill him. Not much help to Dingy.

Late last night I had the joy of playing against Dark and Skallys on one team and me and Dingy on another. Needless to say, it did not go well for me and Dingy. On Frostbite, Dark loitered around our core for to me seemed eternity. Take in mind, the ENTIRE red team was spawning at the core and was trying to kill him. It took 3 minutes. I died about 3 times before Dark went down. I think the other red team members had multi deaths at the hands of Dark. Made me wish for bots on my team with their 'unnatural aim". In the end I think Dark ran out of ammo or suffered from multi miniguns raining down on him. After my third death, I stayed at a distance and hosed him with mini. I few other teammates were using mini also at that point. Aint pretty, but effective over time. If Skallys was with him at our core, it would have resulted in a player ego implosion for the red team followed by a red core explosion. I still shiver thinking about last night. I should mention that dark on crossfire did a manta attack on our primary and killed like all the node builders including me (3 people) before he left to cause havoc somewhere else to the red team. I don't even think we did damage to his manta before he left. Seems I need to practice TAM cuzz what I am doing now is working even less than before......... Dark has arrived like a sack of hammers to the head "ouch" of the opposing team.

The unreal guys stated using a sniper rifle on people slowed by cube in choke points. Lag weapons (flak, rockets, mines, spiders, avrils, etc) useless against people outside cube unless people in cube with you. Instant hit weapons sniper rifle is faster than shocker and no lightning gun in ut3. Can't wait to see what new helbender looks like. Hope they added tweaks like the scorpion. Hope the helbender is a little faster. Would like a higher mounting for twin beams so helbender not overly visable from a distance. Oh well, wishful thinking.

I have never seen you in a tank on Nepenthe, Omnipotent's Minus-Tank Me Up yes, but nowhere else. If no, great I have to look out for Flitter, Cannon, Dingy, AND Penty in tanks.

Hover bike sends out wings to hover up to higher area. Nightshade with cloaking device deploys spiders and motion suppressor cube. Can only see it when deploying stuff. It moves cloaked so I wonder if you can run people over with it. With the high degree of detail in this game, the nightshade might be discernible while cloaked due to smeared non-cloaked contestants on nightshade windshield. Only a guess by me though. I am glad I have my system built already

I actually got it from an article posted to see on Nepenthe/Temerity. Great minds think alike concerning 1st/3rd person view. I am really replacing a post that was lost on GC when system went down and we lost a month worth of posting including my thread "What I learned in a Year on GC".

Seem like Scorpion can do kamakaze attack like the necris hoverbike (forgot the name). I seem to remember reading that their are only one view in vehicles, 3rd person. That I feel is a step backward. Going into first person with tank and helbender twin beams gives you added visual range. Not that flitter needs this.

It is nice to feel accepted.

Guys I have a serious problem and need your input As you know I built a system about 5 months ago and worked perfectly, up until today. I pushed the button and nothing happened. There are lights on like when it is normally off but no action. I unplug the computer and replug it-it turns on for about 3 seconds before it shuts off again. A day earlier the computer just turned off on me which scared me but restarted without any problems. Is if fair to assume my powersupply is bad or another components problem. I opened it up and checked cables but are all squarely attached. My computer building trouble shoot book says to install a "spare powersource" like I have one of those hanging around. I got it from NewEgg but don't want to return a component that is not defective if the problem is other where. The warranty is 3 years so I should be covered.

You all know more than me about computer building so probably won't need this information but better safe than sorry. Make sure your case and power supply meet your video card needs." My antec 900 would have been hard pressed to fit a 8800gtx. It has been done but required case modification and a change in hd arrangement. Good case though with small footprint (for desk computer alcove) and 4 fans (one being 200 mm on top for improved airflow) It is better to wait on componets like dingy mentioned. Not too sure how much "polishing" UT3 will need. Still think they changed ut2007 to ut3 name so they could distribute it after 2007. I built my system for a little over $2,000 in anticipation of distribution beginning 2007. Prices have dropped on alot of items. Went quad core intel 2.4 with sli overclockable mobo and 8800 gts (oc) video card for sli and cpu upgrade ability for the future.
