  1. if only the guy threw the shoe while bush was looking at the PM, then it would have been BOOM HEADSHOT

bush does have pretty good dodging skills though

  2. you know, kinda like the bush adminstration, who kept saying "stay the course" and then, on camera, denied ever saying "stay the course"; they are learning from the best in the business; or the fact that bush administration "lost" several gigs of emails; both sides have problems -- saying only left-wing blogs do stuff like this is pretty biased

  3. not for the whole day, but put it in the maplist so when admins are on doing fun maps, they can switch to that

  4. here's a question from a non-gun owner (and knows close to nothing about guns):

why does the increase in dmg matter? if the bullet hits at the same spot from two different guns, the guy will be injured and *shouldn't* be able to proceed further; is there still a chance that the bad guy can keep on going if you used a weaker gun and did less dmg?

  5. i feel bad for the collateral dmg: her family

besides realizing their mother is crazy, she mortgage the house, a lien on the car, wipe out the retirement account

she'd do better if she went to vegas instead with that money

  6. is there something that shows blue-collar workers earning 81 bucks per hour? that is....really really high

    discounting overtime:

    81 dollars/hour * 40 hours/week * 52 weeks/year == 168,480 (before tax) + benefits

So we have blue collar workers earning six figures? is this even correct?

  7. on the news, it says that the homes that are being burnt are the multi-millionaire homes that celebrities live in...you have 2 houses there! this goes back to our discussion of being top 1% of earners in this country....as for you, i KNEW it

  8. If they make me clean up I'll become more rebellious and start littering since Unclean loves the idea of cleaning up my mess : )LOL!!! KIDDING UNCLEAN!

i dont think he will clean up your mess...his name is "unclean" after all :)

but yeah, since it is obama's website, he should take responsibility for what is on there, and it does look a lot like damage control to me

  9. .fx, I am sure when and if Obama finds a way to put those who oppose his views in jail, you will find a way to rationalize it. Kind of like your "required volunteer" work argument above.

I dunno..I didn't find anything too outlandish about his opinions...certainly nothing worthy of that response.

One thing though, and I don't know how many of you have seen this, but I saw that Pfizer is already packing up and moving many of it's operations overseas...that's alot of American jobs going bye bye, won't be the first either, and that is NOT going to help the middle class.

the whole company or certain divisions?

  10. you guys are serious?

Absolutely serious, we have just handed the keys to a guy with many unknowns, a questionable background and ideals, and who will have the strongest support in the house than anyone has had...he can do pretty much anything he wants...unchallenged, that's not america as far as i'm concerned. It's very scary to me that he is the farthest to the left guy to ever be elected, AND he has the most power...yeah, i'm serious.

More powerful than gw? even with democrats control both houses, i dont think that's possible; gw has a rubber-stamping congress and even when the rubber breaks down, he can always conveniently use a signing statement

i mean, have you seen a president commit war crimes, fake a war, and get away with it?

  11. good call Playaa

And no I always trust polls from CBS /me says sarcastically while rolling eyes

well, do you have a legitimate reason for dismissing their poll results at all? again, i am going to assume they are not as good as gallup pollsters but their poll result is better than no poll results at all

  12. are you implying that the poll results I posted are biased or incorrect in anyway? I'd rather trust a CBS/NYT poll result vs no poll results at all

The NYT/CBS poll (or maybe it is NBC but I am sure it is CBS) is way out of league in comparison to the rest of the polls. While the rest of the polls were within a few points, that particular one has 12+ point difference which is absurd. There isn't a credible talking head using that poll as a source right now when there are a dozen others that are all similar.

are you talking about the obama v mccain poll? the poll i am talking about is in regards to abortion in general, dated 2003....

  13. Roe Vs Wade was a dumb case that should have been overturned, if for no other reason than that it's claimant claimed to be a rape victim (and was not). The legal facts in the case were weak at best and the laws of our land should not be dictated through courtroom legislature. Instead we have a model in place called the voting booth. The US by and large has always been anti-abortion. The last time I read a poll on the subject it was 7x% against and I think like 23% for and a few undecided. It has been a few years, but I can't imagine it being all that different now.

Just to clear up some numbers...

    As of Jan 2003,

    http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/01/22/...ain537570.shtml

For those who did not bother to read the article,

"Seventy-seven percent of respondents said abortion should either be generally available, or available but with stricter limits than now. Just 22 percent said abortion should not be permitted."

If I poll only Evangelical Christians I could get some nice biased results as well.

And just to simplify my views down to the very basics. Any death of a child is tragic, any intentional death of a person is murder. Some circumstances are horrible, I don't pretend to understand what some women have been through, however the killing of an innocent child won't undo what was done, won't make her life better and certainly won't help the child in any way, shape or form.
