  1. The case in question is the Fractal Design XL R2 case. It is the best case I've ever owned. I was finally able to hook up my Corsair H90 CPU water cooler. I could only do so much with the cabling with this PSU due to their shorter length. I could not route them behind the motherboard like I wanted but I did the best I could. My CPU never goes over 29 Celsius while gaming. It sometimes hits 30 but then quickly drops down as the fan speeds up but I hear no difference.

    Here are a few screenshots.

Forgive me for poor picture quality.

  2. Try doing this. Uninstall the Network adapter from your Device manager and when it prompts you to remove the drivers, don't and then reboot. It should automatically reinstall the network adapter and drivers and see if that clears it up. If that doesn't work, uninstall it again but this time remove the driver. Just make sure you have an installation disk or the drivers downloaded in advanced so you can reinstall it and get back online.

You could also try a direct connect to the Modem to see if it is 1gbps connection that way (bypass the router).

  3. for $100, it may not be worth it until you can afford better. You may see a good deal on an older card but it would be better served I think until you can afford a new build in general. Your system is 5 or so years old technology wise. A new video card would give you some boost but not as much as a better videocard and the system to support it (mobo, cpu, RAM).

  4. I am on travel now and will give it a real go when I get back at the end of the week. In Irvine / Westlake California this week and have no way of playing anything until then.

  5. I'm just not overly into those kinds of games anymore. I miss the silencer on the M4. I miss the lack of a real upgrade to the game. And I really want decent netcode that doesn't require a lot of cvar modifications and config file modifications in order to get decent registration.

  6. Let me know if serious and I will try to get into cs:go. It's not my cup of tea to be honest but I will give it a go.

I can setup a forum or something if there is any real interest. The .com domain is not an option unless someone wants to drop $2000+ on a squatter but the .org and .net I have available. I may even have the old database backed up somewhere.

  7. I am thinking of grabbing it even though I regret the last 3 releases. MW2 despite its flaws was still my favorite and myself along with some GC had some good times with that.

I miss the sniping and what not from MW2 and am hoping that maybe MW4 (be honest, that's what it is) is similar or close to how MW2 was with regards to the sniping. Anyone?

  8. I still have the .net domain. The .com got grabbed and some assclown has been asking thousands for it. I keep telling him to pound sand.

Funny that you brought this thread out of the grave; I was in the process of installing the new CS and was thinking of trying to revive the old clan. Just play with the tag and see what happens from there.

  9. This place isn't closed down yet? How bizarre. Anyway, I like your responses. Your inability to admit that you are wrong and the information (or lack of) that you've been getting (or not getting) has been wrong for the past 5 or so years on Obama and Obamacare is comical. These Conservative blogs that you are bashing have been right and listing what the problems with Obamacare are for years and only now is the "mainstream" media saying the same thing as though they are breaking a new story when in reality we've already known about it.

If you had been more open minded and considered the opposing view even the slightest, none of these things would be a surprise to you either. Instead of admitting that you were dead wrong, you deflect by attacking me and my sources even now. Even though a lot of the same media people who've been defending Obama for years are now calling him out on his "you can keep it" lie, you probably do not even know this is all happening. You need to protect your sanity (and the fact you've been completely wrong) by focusing your emotions on me. Well, don't waste your time. When this place closes down, you can go back to your narrow mindedness and leftist blog site where you are told everything is okay and Obama and Obamacare is perfect and damn those raskily right-wingers!

  10. The card looks amazing but the noise and heat may be too much for some people and their rigs. I would wait either for the next revision from AMD where they actually put a good cooler on the cards or for the 3rd parties to do their custom deals.

Besides that, these cards are amazing. The performance of the 290 is at or above the TItan's in most of the performance reviews I've seen and the card is $400 for the 290 versus $1000 for the Titan. It's a no brainer which card to buy and the AMD 290 is the one to get. But I would wait for the custom coolers.

  11. Drudge Report may be a news aggregator, but that does not mean that it is unbiased in the news it aggregates. In fact, even Wikipedia says it's conservative. You also post links from sites like hotair.com.. which according to wikipedia

Hot Air was founded by Michelle Malkin, a conservative author and blogger, in 2006.

which also links to even more conservative sites.

You are doing the exact same thing stutters did. He has absolutely no interest in sharing that image with us. He was only trying to get you to see what you are doing. Spreading propaganda from your favorite party.

As much as I'd like to believe you are just defender of the conservative movement at all costs, I now believe you are just completely oblivious to the type information you expose yourself to.

What Stutters was doing was a weak attempt at trolling and it fell flat.

It all comes down to credibility. Those leftist blogs that have been carrying the water for the lies about Obamacare for the last 3 years have none.

Yeah, I posted a link to hotair which links in turn to Forbes, WSJ, and other sources that tend to be considered credible. Also, considering that everything coming out of Hotair and other conservative sites are and have been right about Obamacare and what would happen if it passed and got implemented have been right all along, I would say they are pretty credible.

As for why I was posting screens of Drudge; I was doing so for the purpose of showing that there is information being relayed about the realities of Obamacare on a daily and hourly basis and if everyone was actually paying attention, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now. You and everyone else would already know that it is a debacle and probably the worst law ever passed in this country's history. Instead of that being the case, and because it is ME posting the claims and information, I am being criticized for my links and opinion when I've had 3+ years of none stop information and analysis to base my opinion on. The rest of you have been kept in the dark whether intentional or not, it is still the case that you and others know very little of the realities of this law and there is little to nothing I can say change that. If all that I've posted in this thread from all of the articles both all of the sources including WSJ, CBS, CNN, Forbes, etc etc etc are not enough to convince you, then nothing will. There is after all a reason that Obama got re-elected and it isn't because he actually did an amazing job as president in his first term.

  12. Screen%20Shot%202013-11-04%20at%2010.10.

I like your comparison of a left-wing blog site to that of a news aggregator (drudgereport.com). I even read the article saw links to even more left-wing blog sites such as TPM. Bravo.

Despite the evidence, you will never believe the truth no matter how many times it hits you in the face. This is why these discussions are ultimately pointless. Good riddance to the political forum.

  13. I know this place is going to be closed down soon but I wanted to continue with this thread while I still can. So much information is being dumped so fast that it is hard to keep up with it.

Obamacare: Memo reveals health care adviser warned W.H. was losing control 3 years ago

Obama and the administration has lied so much that it's hard to keep up with it. I do not know how anyone can defend him at this point but people still do.

There is also this and what he said so many times the last few years.

They also knew that 93 million would lose their insurance. So many lies. So hard to keep them all straight.

  14. I scare easy, and to be honest, Amnesia didn't scare me. I'm not sure if it's the way they went about trying to terrify people or my development experience that hindered the experience. I found the game to be quite fantastic, but models in the game looked terrifyingly awful. It was definitely one of the funnest games I've played in the survivor horror genre, and has spawned others to use the whole "can't fight, must run" idea. I wish the latest Amnesia game were created by the same devs, though, and was more survival horror than lackluster puzzle solving. Still, I wait impatiently for a game like Amnesia that will actually result in peeing myself. I do need to say that I got scared at one point, in the prison area, but that was only because a co-worker walked up behind me and slammed his hands down on my shoulders when I was completely immersed in the game.

Since Amnesia didn't scare the pants off of me, I can only conclude that the videos of peoples reactions to the water area and other parts of the game were bogus in an attempt to draw in attention or ratings.

The game was more about atmosphere and the tension of whether or not you were going to hear the monster's noise when you opened a door.

  15. Seeing the post written by myself at 20 years old is sort of nostalgic. If you go all the way back to the earliest posts of this forum, I'm pretty sure that myself and ZD are the only two that still actively post here that have also been here since the day the forums opened. That is 11 years worth of debating and name calling. I'm still a liberal, free loving hippie and ZD is still a conservative, gun loving american.

    GG ZD.

    cheers

  16.

Problem is....you identify anyone a leftist that doesn't agree with your strict perspective of any given situation, based on "fact" posted on the side streets of the internet by people with the same ideals that you have....making the "facts" sometimes biased or inaccurate altogether....fine example was the fireman story that was pointed out, which had it not been, you may have argued that point to the grave not ever having fully researched the story that you read as fact.

This is a complex world ZD, not everything is black and white, and there isn't always just one right answer...or a right answer at all in some cases, but that doesn't make everyone a complete whacko that doesn't see the world according to you.

It is not possible to have a country full of people that all think the same way, and have the same answers to every question, so you can't very well expect that you will like and agree with every single decision made by those in charge...if you did, our society would likely fall under the category of communism, and you would just happen to find yourself luckily on the side that shares your ideals.....and everyone left would just be the "wrong" people, all just crying because they couldn't get their way.

You see, that's the crutch of the problem. Liberals and leftists do not think they are liberal or extreme in any way. The media has been on their side for decades and they pretty much hear what they want to hear which is in line with their ideology so as far as they are concerned, what they believe is normal. To them, everyone who disagrees with them are kooks and fanatics and they are the only normal ones. I have no problem being called a conservative because that is what I am but the opposition political party takes a huge offense to being called liberal. It's no wonder an honest to God discussion cannot take place here without it turning into a crapfest when simply identifying a liberal for who they are; a liberal. They of course do not think they are because they've been led to believe being liberal is not ideological or political at all; it just is and anyone who thinks outside that is a crazy person. The evidence of that is as obvious as the sun is round in these forums. The reaction to Fox News by most every leftist in this forum is proof of that.

You and everyone else can call me and label me however you want (and make no mistake about it, I know you all do), but I am not afraid to be vocal about my conservative views here and I've been the only one to actually defy what is the group-think that you are either "normal" (as in liberal) or f'n nuts. If the leftists in this community could just admit that that is what they are, then perhaps we can get past the faux outrage of being offended when identified who they are based on their ideological opinions. We could then maybe have civilized conversations in this forum without the whole "how dare you call me a liberal" outrage. That is the nature of politics for the most part; there are conservatives disagreeing with liberals. There are liberals policies (which we are experiencing now) versus Conservative policies and simply identifying one or the other should have never resulted in what these forums turned into. Some simple moderation would have gone a long way but you Clueless, had at one time said this place was never to be moderated and was in the cellar for a reason (I am paraphrasing).

I can go most anywhere else on the internet and even in real life have a discussion about politics with fanatical liberals and it not turn into what these forums turn into. For one, they know they are liberal and do not take offense to their opinions being considered as such. For another, personal insults to ones intelligence and faux outrage doesn't go over well face-to-face. There is no way someone like Shaft or Stutters could troll and insult someone to their face in such a condescending way as they did to me in these forums.

With all of that said, I cannot say I am sorry to see these forums go. You cannot have board members and admins treating other members and participants that way in a public forum. But to all concerned, I am sure that I am the excuse given.
