  1. should i pick 20 maps at random, or do you have specific input? the maps that i used to know to be popular aren't cutting it anymore.

My recommendation: Go to the retro server forums, find the last map cycle vote and set it to that. Then we can discuss. I can link you to it in a minute if I don't get interrupted with real work :D

I think this was the last one: http://gamrs.co/forums/index.php?showtopic=36755

  2. I'd stop by the forums more, but the new theme sticks out like a sore thumb at work; which is typically when I hung out here; and I haven't figured out how to change it using greasemonkey. At home, my in-game time is very intermittent (with the new lil kiddo and all :).

In game, I feel like vote map made for lazy admins. Admins used to chat about maps, come in, look at the map history and try to keep the feel going good. Now its just votemap -- and it makes me feel like most of the admins need to go up to the top of this forum and read the post Mookie has stickied. Mapcycles, mapvote, etc. is for when there aren't any admins on. We should be able to do much better than that when admins are in game. Still, I've gotten chewed out for avoiding the "map vote" by certain admins; and so I generally just leave when the map is going to suck and one of them are on.

  3. I agree. Get twenty people on and you're just bumping into people, literally. Its very frustrating ... makes me more inclined to not follow my teammates ... or quit.

    28 is rediculous

  4. was your house found on fsbo? or did a realtor find it? For some reason, I'm thinking it's going to sell on the MLS and I shouldn't waste a hundred bucks listing it on forsalebyowner.com

    I only MLS-listed it.

  5. I'm no expert at selling houses...I went right to a dealer. Total it was 6%. 3 for the selling agent and 3 for the buyers agent. My understanding at the time was that it was 6% regardless and it was split between the 2...probably in some realator common law thing.

Anyway...you may want to make sure that 2.5% is all there is and you won't be nailed for another 2.5% from the other side.

He is the other side; there is no seller's agent.

*Edit* Although I suppose he could nail himself for 2.5% ^_^

  6. I still want to see inside pictures. With it looking as good as you say, hopefully it'll go quickly. Mine sold in less than a day MLS + FSBO; but then, that was back in the height of the housing boom. According to the buying agent it was the most expensive 3 BR + 1 BA sold in the area, and they gave me more than asking. Initially we were pretty smart. Sold two houses (mine and my wifes) and bought one for the same as I sold mine for; so we had like half down at close. Then a few years later we borrowed against it to put on an addition. Now I dunno. Afraid that we're upside down in the current market.

  7. .... although, if all the religious folks believed in the same thing, that sure would eliminate the source of quite a few problems wouldn't it? Can't say that I'd miss the religious zealots behind this video.

  8. MLS listed? If not, there are services that will MLS list it for you (for a fee of course). I think it cost me 700 to list mine when I did FSBO. When you list it, you can choose what % of sale you'll give to the buyer's agent. That would encourage realtors to show the house to their clients. I'm not sure what % I put, but I just picked what was the norm at the time. Figure I was still saving the fee for the listing agent which is was higher 7% maybe? IDK ... been too long.
