Please respond if you think we should have a DM server AND you want to help get it going. From here on out, I only want to bug people that actually care about getting DM started.

The most servers I come up with (no preferences) is 746. No GC in there either.

That includes through Steam and through CSS. I also occasionally get a "Can't connect to master server to retrieve list"

Well, that list wouldn't include the servers you've been banned on. Maybe try searching with a diff steam account

Seriously though, I was browsing the steam forums for this issue, and I can't remember the name of the second file, but they recommended removing clientregistry.blob and something else and then restarting steam.

I removed all filters, and refreshed. 14493 servers total, I can see our deathmatch server and the private match server. I cannot see retro.

I suppose its possible that its all through networking. I'll check tonight if DM is listed. What do we have to do to fix the master list thing if its a problem; or is someone already working on that?

Right now our CSS servers are not showing up on the master server list - meaning folks looking for a server will *not* see us at all. Until this is fixed, only people who have us bookmarked are getting in.

For real? I had 5 people I didn't recognize join DM last night. Are you saying that those ppl must have our DM bookmarked?

I'm ready to give this up. It isn't going to work. I think only 2 GC members want a DM server. Non-GC people won't join a server with only 1 person in it. Sad that when this started, after an initial influx of GC people playing, I had it to where I could just hop on by myself and enough non-GC would trickle in to get it to about 15 players. It only died because of the server issues that took forever to fix, and the fact that when I would restart it it'd just die permanently.

Oh well, I've been playing this all week and I think I'm probably done now.

Were too strict.

On a new server I feel numbers are greater than values. I'm not sure this really applies to retro, but on a brand new server I'd tend to want to ignore the random swear word or bad name on a server that is too fragile to fill up for more than an hour. Really ticks me off when I get a fragile server full and then someone hops on for 5 minutes and starts gettin all upity and kickin my numbers. YOU play in there by yourself for hours on end.

I was really hoping to see some of the Minnesota stuff go to light-rail projects. According to MPR yesterday, it sounds like its going to go to replace some old bridges, extend a section of freeway by a few miles, and some other stuff. The cost of the light-rail projects is apparently way more than what they're getting for transportation projects.

What times would you normally play in the DM server?

I don't really need this mouse for my gamin purposes, my current mouse does the trick just fine. I'm looking to get a wireless so I can stretch out on my bed and watch movies (My computer faces my bed you see) I need a mouse with a pretty good range (I estimate about 10 feet from where I'd be to the usb port I'd plug the mouse into is) It needs to be something with a usb dongle because my computer doesn't have bluetooth. Money shouldn't be that big an issue. all the mice I've looked at already would be in my price range. Any ideas?
