  1. I have gone around 120mph in my mustang (just a bottom of the barrel 97) on this stretch of I-64 in Kentucky from Ashland to Lexinton...seriously, that 1.5 hour strectch (if that) is the most boring road I have ever ridden on. I have been kind of nervous to go fast ever since I was 12 and my dad and I got into a motorcycle/car accident. We were on the motorcycle and a car didn't see us and pulled out. I had a compound fracture of my tibia and fibula and he was in a semi-coma for 11 days.

My clanmate and buddy Max_Kill-Joy has went around 160 on his bike, a Honda CBR900.

  2. My previous computer (which I still have and am setting Linux up on) is an old Compaq Presario 5280. I came with an integrated 4MB AGP video card and NO AGP slot for upgrade. I was on a budget crunch at the time so I got 2 Voodoo2 1000s and linked them via the SLI cable that came with them. It still sucked but was better than my integrated.

  3. PTB (Ptahhotep's Team Balancer) is an Adminmod plugin. At the end of each round, it does some evaluating and will switch people around if it has determined that skill/number is uneven. It has it's own problems at times where it either doesn't switch/even when it clearly needs to but on our old server, we found these "problem times" to happen a heck of a lot less and be less problematic then trying to rely on the players themselves to fix the problem.

PTB also has a feature called WTJ (Wrong Team Join), where it would prevent a person from joining an already stacked team. Three incorrect WTJ attempts and it would boot you. I think later the admin set it so that after 2 incorrect WTJ attempts, it would just "auto" you on a team. WTJ was only initiated for Italy.

  4. I really liked this one film called "War of the Buttons". But it was a lonnnnngggggg time ago and I was really sick when I watched it. Don't know if would be worth anything to anyone now. It is about a couple of groups of kids who get in this big "war" where whenever anyone from one group meets kids from each other, something happens (sorry, I guess it has been a really long time since I seen it), and the loser ends up leaving with no buttons on any of their clothes.

  5. Well, the best thing would be the attitude going but my reference was actually in the person having the attitude going.

I wanted to keep it non-specific as to not single-out one person in general because I really don't know anyone yet outside of their MB presence.

  6. My perspective is that the voice comm was added to increase the abililty of the team to work as one cohesive force. I will occassionally mute a person but prefer not to for the reasons listed above (that person might call out the enemy at a crucial time).

I have seen way too many times where the voice comm is used as a chat utility. Ok, if I am dead and the other dead people are doing that...fine, it won't cause me to become "more dead" but if people are chatting it up while action is live then all it does is obscure crucial sound hints and real voice comm from teammates.

    Just my opinion.

  7. I haven't been here long so I don't feel right in voicing my opinion about this matter but I will say that some of the attitude I have seen flying across this MB as of late has been pretty shocking to say the least. I think the community will be better off for them going.

  8. I have had the problem occassionally. I notice that some maps take a loooonnnngggg time to load and some other times, if I notice it is near to timing out, I will just type "retry" in the console to avoid it.

I figured it had something to do with the server config and dismissed it.

  9. 3dfx IS OpenGL, they just have a specialized .dll for it. You select OpenGL then choose either Default or 3dfx. The video options are OpenGL, Direct3D, or Software Mode.

If you have a Voodoo card, you should be using 3dfx as your mode, other chipsets, Default.
