  1. Real name: Doug

I got the nickname dweezil at church camp. Everyone in my youth group was giving each other nicknames. I was fairly new so they didn't have much to go on until on of the guys looked on the back of his Pop Tart box (always bring your own breakfast) and saw it had some Far Side comics. One of the comics had a picture of a couple nerdy guys wading at the beach and the caption read "Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, the Dweezil twins, Doug and Dave...". Well, it has stuck ever since.

  2. No offense, but I have seen more spam online because of that stupid game. I mean, is the game just to see how many people you can get to click on it? Let me tell you about a game the admin on our old server liked to play. See, he would strategically place a certain goat-referenced link in his posts to see how many n00bs would go to it. It is worse than stupid outwar spamming...but not by much.

  3. Killer, [VI] use to play and partake in the G00P server and community up until March 31 at which time the University of Kentucky, who previously allowed the server/MB to be run, decided that it was a security risk and closed it down.

  4. I found a couple of links doing a Google-search that shows that this error seems to be fairly common (although I have installed HL/CS quite a number of times and have never seen the error). The suggested "solutions" were to do one of the following.

    1) Keep hitting retry and eventually it should finally finish...maybe

    2) If you have the hard drive space, copy the whole CD over to your computer and install it from there

    3) If you bought the game (i.e., didn't warez it), try returning it to the store for a new one.

Here are the best 2 links I found.

  5. IIRC, Vin Diesel's red car was a Mazda RX-7. My buddy used to have one before he got hit by an off-duty cop who didn't yield when he should have.

I liked FatF but thought the storyline/plot was extremely weak. I wasn't too disappointed though cuz I figured that going into it...I still bought the DVD. xXx was also another weak plotted film...but again, I expected that. I bought this one primarly because I am a Diesel fan and I knew it would have some decent action in it.

Now, if you want to see another weak-plotted Vin Diesel film that still had enough going for it to merit me purchasing it...check out "Knockaround Guys". I think I bought this one soley based on the fight scene in the bar.

  6. LOL, well, I used to be the Sys. Admin. for a dept of about 70 people who more or less just did data entry. About 70% of my work was User Support. I would get questions like "Why is my tab key switching between programs?". I went to their desk, smashed the Alt key to crunch up the cookie pieces that had fallen in there and they were happy again.

  7. I like all kinds except country (and I can stand some of the less country country) but don't really listen to much because, being a musician of sorts, when I am "listening" I like to give my full attention to it. I am not the kind of person who could have it going in the background and not have it distract me cuz I would want to stop and listen.

Anyway, probably my current favorite style is alternative (does that really mean anything anymore since "alternative" is now mainstream contemporary?). Don't know if that tells you anything. I just like a good grooving song with a driving beat and a good hook. If I am driving down the road and catch my head bobbing to the beat...it is a good song.

  8. If you think I have been here long enough for such a role Fatty, then sign me up. I always like to do do what I can to help people out.

  9. My opinion on the matter is this. These people are entertainers. Getting paid to perform a service, whether it be making a movie, singing a song, etc. If I pay to got to a concert, or an award for movie-making/acting is given, I don't care to hear their Political babbling, which is more often than not merely uninformed rants. Being a celebrity does not give their opinions more weight and also does not give them a more "enlightened" perspective.

Also, I take a personal offense to anyone who stands up and bashes my country, my troops, and my President (whether you voted for him or not, he is YOUR president too...that is they way this country has worked for over 200 years now) especially when those people are fellow citizens of the US.
