Well, i don't smoke anymore, but i wouldn't care one bit if people disappeared and smoked if they want. As long as they dont' spark up in the middle of the crowd.... I'm planning on being wasted, juiced, and loaded all at once at some time during the LAN party

Well, here at my work, running on a 30amp circuit, we have 12 computers, 12 monitors, a mini-fridge, 2 fans 2 laptops and an ari compressor. We have never had a single problem. Now when we were on a 20 amp circuit, we blew the line once or twice and had to reset it. Don't know if this helps, cause i don't know much abotu electricity. But i hope it does

golly gee!, that is where I WANT TO BE!!! I could sleep there and everything On a side note, i would rather there be no outsiders.....community only. Generators aren't really that expensive to rent.

I would be very upset if we didn't do something like that. If needed i'll look into what is needed and all that fun jazz. I have alot of family that works high up in banks i could talk to about what we need to do. Seems like a very nice thing to do as a community for a fellow gamer, father, friend, etc....

Supposedly Raid 1.5 gives you the benifit of striping and mirroring with just 2 drives instead of four. Not sure exactly how this is done, you might lose some HD space. But i just got some of these in at work yesterday and i plan on messing with them. So i'll look more into into and let ya know.

Well, talked to a rep at Valve and asked about a getting a release for HL2. She said she honestly doesn't think it will be a problem since it will be so close to the release date, and it would give them some kind of feedback on how the multiplayer is working. She said she will talk to "the boys" (haha) and see what she can do for me. Should know by the end of the week.

Ok guys, i haven't run any CS servers in a looong time. Since it is looking that we might have 50+ people coming (got 42 so far) we can't all be in one game at a time. So we gonna have to have more than one game sever running. Now i don't know what kind of system could do this. Right now i have gotten the OK for a P4 Xeon (gonna push for duel) 2.53Ghz server with like 2Gig of Ram. Would this be capable of running 2 gaming servers at one time without problems?? Also, does anyone have a Gigabit Switch they could get ahold of to hook up to the server?? That would help out tremedously also. Also, i know that we run servers on Linux (well we better HAHA). What ver. of Linux you want me to install on this? I'll install the OS, but you guys will have to setup the servers. We have Redhat 8, and can get any other ver. if needed. BTW.....this use of this server is being provided by www.pcinfinity.net (had to get a plug in there somewhere )

Don't know how many of you have heard yet but HL2 is being released this Sept. I'm am currently int he process of contacting Valve to see if we can get a beta/Release canidate/demo of HL2 so we can play around with that some. I think it would be awsome to get some HL2 Deathmatches going.
