  1. The sole purpose is going to be gaming. I just want to make sure I don't box myself in like I did when PCI express had just come out and I went with an AGP motherboard. I don't care whether it's intel or amd as long as in the future, if my ram or cpu or video card is lacking for a game, I'll be able to buy better and have it be a quick swap out rather than a total rebuild. I'm thinking my budget is going to be 1500 now. With that I need to make sure and get all of the above mentioned and a mouse, keyboard, headset, windows 7 (and sound card if it helps with gaming i.e. footsteps) if not, a sound card isn't necessary.

  2. Will I notice a difference in gaming if i was playing the same game on both of those pc's side by side? Also is one more upgradable than the other? Would you guys recommend a sound card? Are there problems associated with amd vs. intel? Is one easier to put together than the other?

  3. Hey preach thanks for the response. I will need to buy a copy of Windows 7. My budget for the computer is not fixed. I get my W2 at the end of this month so I'll know what I can spend then. Can I get back with you in a couple weeks and maybe have you do this again with a more exact amount?

    Thanks again!

  4. Okay then plan B. I don't want to build my own.(but if i have to i will) Where is the best place to find an allready built pc and not get ripped off? Or is it going to save me a lot of money doing it myself? My current machine only has an AGP slot for video. So I pretty much need to get a whole new machine. I'm interested in spending enough money to get a pc that will play any game out there or coming out (crysis, diablo3) without sacrificing visuals or having to set graphics lower than max. I'm not a tech person but I have a friend that built this pc that could build me one if I had to. I guess my question is should I build from scratch or just buy prebuilt? Budget at $1000. Any advice is welcome and appreciated.

  5. This was the first movie that I've seen in 3D. It was worth going to see for the money it cost and I can't say that about most movies that I see in theaters.

Anybody else feel uncomfortable with the tribes worshiping and praising the tree? Probably the only part I didn't like about the movie.

  6. I'm sure it's not just "a guy" you would be messing with. I saw something similar to this on Dateline NBC and the scammers were more like an operating company.

  7. For anyone out there who is searching for answers here is what Jesus says:

Matthew 7 verse 7-8. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

(If you're in doubt of what to think or believe come to God with your heart open and simply ask him for help. I believe if you are truly searching for God he will find you.)

  8. For some reason when I shut down my computer and turn it back on it won't recognize my hard drive at all. What I have been doing is just leaving my pc running non-stop for about the last 6 months to avoid this problem.

Well the other day my temps started getting too high so I knew it was time to clean out the dust bunnies. But when I tried to turn it back on it wouldn't see my hdd no matter how many times i tried rebooting. I took it out and tried another pc and nothing. So I put it back in my original pc and tried and tried (with lots of prayers because of family pics and vids that I didn't want to lose) and the Lord made it work! Isn't he good.

So anyways it's on now and running and I went out and bought an external hdd and stored all my pics and movies on it but now am in the market of replacing my internal hdd. Could anyone recommend a decent one thats around 200 gig or less that runs well in your exp and is 100 dollars or less? Thanks for yer help!
